Ogres as a neutral faction with only minor adversion with everyone else do really make a fun campaign, because you can decide on the spot which faction befriend and which one turn into enemies. Lots or replayability compared to full good or full evil factions, that will usually end in fighting the same faction no matter what they do because avversion against them is simply too big to nullify.
I kinda wish the Ogres had a way to increase or decrease aversion of order/chaos faction, either through exclusive technologies, or via contracts. The ability to reduce or eliminate aversion via contracts would be better in my opinion, as it would allow the Ogres to really fit in as a mercenary faction.
@@Mikalent Skrag do have a unique Big Name that pretty much nullify his minor adversion, making him on neutral terms with almost everyone. Kinda funny considering hes a mostrousus freak that loves to trow people into his cauldron to eat them.
@@Mikalent Late reply but I always thought a Chaos Ogre faction would fit in quite well with the current games climate. They exist in lore too so its not even a stretch this would push normal non chaos aligned ogres to help fighting them back, which in tow helps order/neutral/chaos hating factions like you. And then if you wanna side with Chaos play the Chaos Ogres best of both worlds.
I did a Skrag campaign when he was at his previous start position. Went into raid stance in Belegar's teroritory for one turn, and like 6 turns later he declared war on me despite being fairly neutral in diplomatic relations. That lead to basically everyone in the area except the greenskins and elves hating me; and then Orion (who I was friendly with) captured a territory that I'd had an ogre camp set up in, and I didn't realize until a dozen turns later when it had tanked our relationship. So by turn 30 or so I was at war with basically everyone in the Southern Realms and southwestern Empire territory. I didn't have the income to support 2 full armies to defend my territories, so they also kept destroying my camps so it was hard to get decent units to fight all the wars.
I've bought and tried Ogre Kingdoms, but only as Greasus. Wasn't particularly entertained, found the Meat to be a chore, but it sounds like Skrag is a good time. Will probably give the Ogres another try. - Make the next video about Wulfrik the Wanderer.
One of my favorite campaigns I ever did was to abandon Boris’ start and go take out the kislev guys to the north of katarina and took that area and became the true bulwark of the north. One of the most fun insane campaigns
In my current campaign I found out that his diplomatic relations +20 doesn't help that much, everyone will still hate you, so you gotta decide your allegiance pretty fast. Also I don't think you can go with joining order, dwarves will hate your guts and will declare war on you early on, so in my experience expanding across the entire territory of border princes is a trap because you're going to be attacked by dwarves from the north on all sides, so it's better to secure Akendorf province and immediately go north and deal with your neighbouring dwarf faction and then go west and deal with clan angrund while he is still weak. Also fun fact - ogres do not have garrisons if they occupy imperial forts, so it's good to have an ally whom you can give forts so they can actually have garrisons in them. And speaking of sieges you're going to have a lot of them, akendorf is a siege that you have around turn 3, so your campaign will be a lot more difficult if you're not utilizing stalk units to cap victory point and win without losses. Overall very hard to legendary is a good idea if you manage to get to the midgame because ogre economy tend to snowball and their doomstacks are really really strong, but you have to survive your early game and have a good strategy to not get overwhelmed by enemies on all sides before you can become strong
Actually, I think that Noctilus might have more movement than Skrag, but I'm not completely sure. I do enjoy my campaign with him, I got good relations with greenskins and neutral relations with other factions, i took the big name that add +20 relations with all factions, and it's pretty good as all factions in general seems to not have so much aversion, meaning that even if you are weakened by a central position you can manage the wars like you want. Not so many factions will declare war on you, even more if your are getting rapidely stronger than everyone else. I rushed belegar, I was on good terms with wood elves. I took out the empire. The settlements while can be raise only to tier 3 are still decent to take. Don't hesistate to expand. The camps are more important, and there are your important source of military provision as well it can increase your economy when at tier 5. The research that can increase capacity of your camps in the late game is really juicy. I achieve to confederate greassus and I took down the dwarves. Belegar is always mad, but you can negotiate with him. Border princes either way you go will have an army ready to attack your capital as soon as you leave. Wurzagg gets his waagh super fast and has armies full of savage orcs in the early game. On top of that you have the empire and sartosa coming in as well. @@Klongu_Da_Bongu Well he's not "unaware" and I don't expect anything out of anything I do. Only the standard of videos we get from Legend (but not because of anything related to me). It's been a solid decade since I started watching, I think I've only ever give €5 during a live stream. Tbh I put the comment there more for other fans to read. I didn't know Legend didn't like Ogre's on stream or their videos because they did terribly, until he said so, a few minutes after I got home and started watching mid stream the other week.
What’s the most common part of an immortal empire campaign where you’re considered done. Is it after a short victory? I find that some factions have really easy short victory and I end up thinking I didn’t play enough of them but then I start going too far into the campaign. I really just want to play every faction at least once
I try do finish short victory and if I like how's it going I play more. I've got bunch of saves I'm planning to come back to when/if ca adds ie achievements
@@CJ-wh7ik I guess that’s what I’ll start doing. Just so many lords and factions to choose from
Skraag livestream?
Boris Ursus.
Rakarth next please
Skrag can be a bit annoying on Legendary, as Aranessa will come for you HARD. That said, ogres can charge in easily, just hope you're not outnumbered or too many useless gnoblars.
I think Azhag and Skrag should have some beef with each other. They both can’t have the same title.
thats a sad skill line for a dlc LL
Slay
Man he really hates Ogres considering Greasus and now Skrag got unique thumbnails.
Maybe that means he loves them?
I won’t lie Skrag’s campaign was the least enjoyable experience I ever had and it’s likely because I suck
Woot early!
It's also nice to not be immediately fighting your own race - I really hate campaigns that start you fighting your own, its boring. Fighting tiny humans as big belly ogre boys is way more fun
i thik they should put skrag in dead by daylight tbh. just look at him.
забей.они делают игру хуенас и мидивал 3 . поддержка игры закончена

I wanted to play as Skrag, and I like ogres in general, but I absolutely hate how Skrag himself looks, super weird for a legendary lord and I just couldn's stand how meh he looks, and there's no mods to alter his appearance unlike Greasus.
Ogres eat sentient life I cannot bring myself to play them, its not something I can get over despite knowing its all fantasy, :/
@sneethe1071 Eat, they eat sentient life.
That's how I feel about Alberic and Marcus Wolfheart... Makes me think they are just Spanish inquisition and murdering the locals... No problem with playing the skaven tho... People are weird lol
What is the first ever video of legend ?
I think it was a blitz campaign on medival 2 9 or 10 years ago,i think, not sure tho
