You provide a great service by presenting these kinds of videos for the younger and not so knowledgeable shooters! Plus, it's fun for us old guys to watch a class guy on YT! Have a Happy New Year my friend!
I mainly anneal due to being a bit of a wildcat shooter when making cases. Especially cases that cost a arm and a leg in price here in Aus. I use to anneal for comp shooting, but leaving that side of the sport few years ago, these days just when forming and keeping the brass good for as long as I can due to the work involved in making them. Happy new year Cavedweller.
Excellent! Annealing for at least 2 reasons: 1) lengthen reloading life of brass as brass necks work harden with firing/resizing. 2) more consistent neck tension among cases which may lead to more consistent hand loads.
"I'm not going to buy something for $30 - $40 bucks that I can build myself for $5!" "When this stuff turns you are gonna get it hot... you're not going to get it red hot...if it turns red you ruined your brass...you ruined it...you ruined it...throw that shit in the garbage!" LMAO Why I subscribed to your channel! Genuine and honest! Nobody likes a fake! John
Top job as usual cavedewller! Here in the UK brass is at least double the price that you guys pay. Same goes for bullets and pretty much everything else! Have a great new year
Never anneal brass that has primers (live or shot) in it or is fully loaded. There have been people who really did try to anneal their loaded rounds......not too bright.
Oh okay! I just bought a 22-250 we shoot prairie dogs I was wanting to make really nice loads for it and your videos are great! If you have any bullet weight and powder suggestions that would be awesome! Thanks

Nice job as pretty easy to do....Thanks for the share.....Good stuff....
Thanks! Just about to get into reloading,, had no idea about annealing brass. Brass is really expensive in New Zealand as well.
Good man, thanks Cavedweller!

Good to onow.Thanks
excellent video but putting the brass directly in the water would not make it harder?
No. Quenching brass makes it softer.
good info and at a saving cost .
Thanks for the info!
That's a great video, Thank you
Great info! I always thought the process was much more complicated. Is that just a propane torch?
That's correct. Thanks for Watching.
Great info.

I’m a newbie. Can you anneal or should you anneal magnum brass? I shoot a 7MM Rem Mag.
I would definitely anneal with 7MM. It will greatly increase the lifespan of your brass.
Is that one of those braising torches?
It' just a soldering torch.

My new go to load is a 53gr. V-MAX on top of 38.5 gr. of H380.
The 53gr just this last summer replaced the 55gr V-MAX.
Awesome I will have to load some up and test it! Thank you!
Nice information to the poor person like me, I’ve never done this but in fixen to.
