    I watched You tube for a couple of years before I realized by subscribing and liking helped the person you were watching. I subscribed, but didn't hit the all -didn't know to until I watched someone that explained it how hitting the like helps also and now on that channel on every new film they ask people to subscribe all and hit the thumbs up to help them. I think people watch and don't realized how it helps. I love how you openly explained everything and hope your audience continues to build. Thank you.

      In truth, there's no reason why people should know these things, but I thought I would try and share some of the behind the scenes. So thank you for likes and comments - you are one of the good-guys!!

      I am learning so much watching the videos here but have not figured out how to search for something specific like this diy watercolor ground you referred to. I would absolutely love watching and learning how to diy it myself! Is there something I can do specifically to find that particular video?

    • @stampinturtles
      @stampinturtles Год назад +2

      @@ArgeeP just type in diy watercolor ground in the search and lots of videos come up but you need to make sure it’s from Liz. Or you can scroll through her videos until you see the title.

      I absolutely can't believe 1. It was so easy to find in the RUclips search bar (I thought it was going to be a slog!) And 2. It's SO EASY TO MAKE! Holy cow, what an easy thing to make and considering I make my own gesso to begin with, it will save me even MORE in the long run-thank you to you both!
      (Side note: initially I was asking, not very clearly, if there was a way to search a specific channel, in this instance, Ms. Chaderton's, but I don't think that's possible?)

    Hullo Liz, I am glad that you are being compensated for your time creating content! I have had a 30+ Art career and I never got involved with internet sales. I have edited some videos but never enjoyed that activity in the least! I was intrigued by your video and thought you did a lovely job explaining your RUclips experience, thank you! I enjoy watching your videos and as a watercolor painting artist I have learned quite a bit as well! I have been painting since I was 10 my gran taught me basics and very traditional methods too. Last year I used white paint in one of my paintings. Now I was taught that if you use white of any kind you would have to change the category of the painting from watercolor to mixed media. I know that there are still societies that are quite rigid in their definition of what a watercolor painting is! I hope my likes and comments do help you and your channel and I look forward to watching your videos in the new year because no one can know how to do everything, I truly feel that we need to continue to learn and create to simply create better artworks! Thank you for sharing all of your ideas and knowledge.
    Have a lovely day!

    What I find about you-tube is that it is much divided by generations. What I mean is that young folks seem to focus on making a living from their videos whereas us older folks enjoy sharing our talents through the videos and welcome the income, but it is not the focus of our videos. Your first video about how YT paid you pulled me in, this video encouraged me to subscribe because I have always wanted to paint. I will be coming back for that. This was super interesting! I have just subscribed as I would like to learn about watercolour, but I also have a RUclips channel I started about building our off-grid farm in Australia from scratch. Like you in the beginning, I started it a couple of years ago but have never done much with it. I worked out how to edit and film, but I have a long way to go to really do a great job at it. While you are not earning a stack from your RUclips channel, it is certainly worth it, especially in this current economic climate. Your video has made me consider picking it up again so thanks for breaking it all down in a simple, easy-to-understand manner and being so transparent. Hi Liz. I'm a new subscriber after seeing you mentioned by Jenna Rainey. This was particularly interesting as I'm a prime member and always wondered if that meant no support to those artists I follow. Now I know it does so I'm much relieved! I always try to remember to like those videos which I watch but I don't turn on notifications as I find them too distracting on my phone. I check in at least a couple of times a day to my subscriptions to see what is new and then I can see straight away what videos actually appeal to me, as not all of them do! Anyway, I look forward to watching more of your content and getting to know you and your work through RUclips ❤

Thoroughly recommend your books too and often recommend you to people on fb looking for art/ tutorials etc. Happy new year to you and yours!

    Happy new year. Liz ! I am indeed N0. one admirer of you as an artist and also as a human being. My conclusion, even as an former attorney in Iceland, your incredible good teaching is perfect for me, as a "wanna be" artist. I tell myself I am never to old to learn. Your online art classes sounds good as your books that I want to buy. I am a bit stuck for know, looking for tutorials re. drawing skills, the fundamentals. When I get better drawing skills. I am eager to buy your courses, online. Thank you so much for you contribution to me, personally. I dare say evidence based I have checked more the 100 you tube channels, your channel of watercolor art tutorials is the best, at least for me.

    Hi Liz, so very interesting! I really appreciate your honesty. You just popped up in my feed, the title of the video got me interested. It made me think about how I may have found you if I had not been reeled in by that. Your channel does go by your name and does not have any clue as to what you do or what you promote, are interested in? For instance, if I google watercolour, I get videos with watercolour in the name or in the authors name. I then went to check out my other subscribed and noticed that they do have a clue in their name. I wonder if adding watercolour to your name would pull in more views? I am an artist, when I get to it, lately I have been learning to play the banjo and so that has taken my focus. I use youtube for that, so algorithms send me what I need. It is all a big mystery to me and when I try and think about it my head hurts, but I thought I'd share that. I will check out your other videos now as I do use watercolours, I am a windsor and newton loyal fan from way back. Thankyou! ( English woman 62 years old living in Australia )

      That’s an interesting takes. Most of my films (except this one 😆) are obviously art related. I’ll take a look at the channel name. Thank you and have fun with the banjo !

    If I skip ads, does that affect your income? Do I need to watch the whole ad for you to get full $ for it?

    • @LizChadertonStudio
      @LizChadertonStudio  Год назад +2

      only some ads are shippable. I believe if you watch less than 30s then the creator isn’t paid. I have to say, I skip them too so don’t feel bad!

    Hi Liz, i just ran into your video today. Very grateful for your previous video and the explanation on how RUclips works.
    I did see your income, lol you just mentioned adsense while im listening to this. So i nwed to signup for adsense. 😂
    I was thinking of podia they only carry paypal and stripe.

    • @LizChadertonStudio
      @LizChadertonStudio  Год назад

      I’m a bit confused by your comment. You need to sign up to Adsense when you get monetised. Podia is the host of digital courses etc and yes, they integrate with Stripe and Paypal
