- Bringing the garage workshop up to shooting spec. Now that I own this house I can do whatever I want! So I'm giving the garage a refresh to make it ready to shoot. I have a bunch of videos I'd like to make over the next few months from product reviews to educational videos and a cool environment will help those stand out. Next up is lighting....

So glad the vlog is back. I started watching when you did the Movi Pro unboxing and watching your vlogs from The Adventurers inspired me to pursue a career in film/tv myself.
@@chrisherr It's going great so far. At the moment I'm in a three year training program (German "duale Ausbildung") at a big broadcaster (SWR). It's a mix of broadcast engineering, ENG, post production and made for tv movies ( mostly "Tatort", maybe you have heard of it), but I enjoy it a lot.

Would love to see more of how you work on set! I understand its hard with confidentiality but maybe at some point you can introduce us to one of your crew mates for example? 🙂

Also Sennheiser MKE-400 is a good quality shotgun mic. It's lasted me years. It's just not the hottest mic around. Defs on the quiet side compared to rode.

Check out the new aputure "Amaran" 100 or 200 with the new budget light dome. Built almost exactly for what your thinking. Inexpensive but quality youtube studio light..... Hot Rod Cameras around the corner from you should have them in stock....perfect setup for a tight garage studio like you might be thinking of putting together.....
