  • Our beloved first boat was up for sale again, and we couldn't of imagined who would of decided to join the cruising community and make her their own! In this episode we take you on a new journey of boat ownership and the importance of being able to roll with the punches. From hopes and dreams to frustration, blood sweat and tears.... will they make it to the other side regretting their decision or basking in achievement?

    Tye, you are such a good Doobie.. Helping one another is what it's all about. I'm an old Chris Craft factory glass man from the late 60's early 70's and done many repairs. They have much better materials today, stronger and more flex. For that couple, life will never be the same again as long as they stay with it. COME BACK SOON GUY'S

The bulkhead to hull weakness, the front decking literally being held down by a few screws and some glue, that can, and has, failed while. Sailing in light seas!? At least the problems are known and how to address them and what to watch for.

    • @turipz
      @turipz 3 месяца назад +2

      And unlike Leopard which tortures its victims (they call them "customers", but they turn them into victims) trying as much as they can to shrug away from their warranty responsibilities - Lagoon at least took responsibility and offered their customers (not victims) an easy course of action to survey their boats for cracked bulkheads and an easy process to have those fixed effectively and efficiently without dragging their customers through hell for years. I still don't think Lagoons are "real" boats - both Leopard and Lagoons are charter boats designed to be as cheap as possible, meant to be mostly motored around by people who aren't staying on them for more than 1-2 weeks a year.

    • @btrotta

      The problems on D1 were fixed during their repair process. So there's nothing to worry about.
