@@sdstewart87 Well it's easy to blame Nadal when you hate the guy, aside from the infamous Wimbledon 2007 encounter, if you watch Soderling's match vs Nadal in Rome 2009 you will really find out why Soderling earned the hate he he gets from Nadal at specifically and from a lot of players on the tour, Soderling was cough cheating ON LIVE TELEVISION when he was being basically destroyed in that match.
Most of the people who actually like Soderling like him because of the miracle at the 2009 French Open, Federer may like him for that fact, I mean if it wasn't for him he would have never won a French Open title, but on a personal level he probably also dislikes Soderling too as he also had a clash with him on the US Open 2010.

3:05. really the definition of Nadal's character. Rosol has NO business in throwing his racket towards Nadal's direction + the shit he did during the match. Nevertheless Nadal behaves like a true champion and picks up the racket. You can train forehands or serves but you can not train the character Rafael has.

Am I the only person who sees the fucking great camera on Rafa's left-hand side? Watch again, carefully, in slow motion if it helps. Rosol stopped to let Rafa pass, but had his towel over his face so couldn't see that the gap he'd left was so small. Rafa was looking at the ground as he passed. He sees the camera at the last moment and has to bend right to avoid it, and that's the point at which he bumped Rosol. NEITHER of them were at fault.

  • @michael8597
    @michael8597 3 года назад +197

Even an extremely modest and humble Rafa can lose his composure sometimes in the heat of the moment and at other times perturbed by the uncivil behaviour of his opponents on court. But Rafa is a gentleman always; the way he picks up the racket to handover to Rosol in that formal handshake after the match shows his respect to Tennis. Pertinently, he is the only player who has not abused his racquet.

Playing dirty is crass and most of top champions are class apart. Rafael lost to Rosol not because Rasol played dirty, it's because he had problems back then with big servers especially at Wimbledon where the ball doesn't bounce much. Further his serve was weak and didn't give him free points. Rosol won because he had a rocket of a serve which Nadal couldn't negotiate. Of course he sorted it out later and became what he is today.

Umpire calls the Berdych's shot out, Rafa has returned it good anyway and Berdych hits it out of the court. Umpire's call is found to be incorrect and point is awarded to Berdych. Why?! Whether ball is out or not, Nadal's return was good. And Berdych's return was out.

    Why Nadal deserves respect....
    1. Soderling -
Before serving, Nadal has to do what he has to do..everyone does that...we are human,we have many bodyparts that can annoy us @ the exact important moment & that varries from person to person..
Everyone has to do something with their hair before serving..
For Nadal , if anyone notice closely he sweats tremendously & has to clean his sweat off several times before service which is unusual..I have never seen someone sweating that much in the whole ATP & WTA...& The most unique habit - pulling this pants out of his super defined hips..to be that defined is not Nadal's fault... It is not about the size or fit of the pants..he just does it..not to waste time or annoy anyone...
To disrespect someone's style just becuase you are annoyed shows how much ignorant he is...
    2. Berdych -
Nadal told him that his behavior toward spectators was disrespectful..
    Nothing more..
No need to make Big deal out of that..
The legends work quietly..they do not show off like Berdych..(I am not disrespecting or hating him )
Nadal is always respectful to crowd even in unfavourable situation.it is just opposite of his ideology so he protested @ Berdych.
    3. Rosol -
Rosol lost @ the very moment when RAFA took the raquet up for him which he threw down...
    🙏 Respect..
    No words..
Secondly, who thinks that RAFA is superstitious about his bottles or other things, are just less attentive than Nadal toward their smaller things..there is nothing wrong about who does not do all these & who does all these..it is just an habit of perfection..someone has that affection towards their books, someone has this feeling towards their CDs or flower vase.. Nadal has these towards his bottles, he likes to place his bottles @ exact same place with no turbulance of liquid..it need perfection like an artist to place a bottle & not to disturb the liquid inside it...
Now, 1stly Rosol has no right even to disturb ANYTHING in other's territorry.. anything..
I know it is not like he has done a havoc that can affect anyone but what is the need to get attracted to other players' things ?
These shows his lack of attention, his notorious manner...
3rdly look that NADAL did not opposed Rosol 2times while he was making noise with his rauqet but 3rd time he even could not control his nerves...
4thly, Media plays a big part in making gossip, look how they zoom in the handshake where they did it quite normal..
    4. Carlos about Berdych -
The rule is, if the umpire calls IN or OUT for a player & if this is false then the player does not get the next point but also does not lose any..but also the other player does not get any bonus as the umpire (the controller of the match) called a false alarm..
So no one get any or lose any in a false alarm if the former player returns the ball (whose result is undecided yet)..
Carlos just demanded a point to give Berdych which he earlier called falsely..review is to check the truth & clarify players' doubts.. no one gets the point if that is a false alarm..Carlos needed to learn the rules..Nadal was absolutely right.
    5. THE UMPIRE -
NADAL explained it all. No personal problem with him, he respects him, he also accepts his warnings about time violation but he can not deal with a man who wants Nadal to play a whole match with backside-front shorts...
He did not ban any umpire..it is not up to him..he is not that kind of MAFIA person to control other's works..he requested not to have him in his match.. it is lack of understandings from both side.. it is better to keep distance.
