How many other “stars” would clean their own machines and rake the clay on court. Rafa is a humble guy and no matter how many titles he wins or how much money he has that will not change.
Why people loves him ? Because everybody loves his qualities.. even you are not his fan. He was probably more sophisticated and well travelled than you and me by the time he was 10 y/o. In Spain most parents try and bring up their children to be kind, modest and down to earth. That is at least is the aim and the expectation. Having airs is generally frowned upon, as opposed to other cultures where the wealthier amongst us are brought up to feel innately superior and to look down on others. People from other countries could interpret his naturality as him being a 'Mowgli' or even a bit simple, but he's never been a fool.
