    Puppy looks very happy and content at your place. There is so much running space once you don't have to worry about him running off. If you have a farmers market in your town, I would buy the veggies there. You support the local farmers and have a chance to chat with the locals. You have so much work otherwise. Don't feel guilty that you don't have a veggie plot yet. There is too much pressure everywhere to be perfect. I like that you don't know everything. (Yet) ❤

      Our local farmers can use the support too plus it's always a fun little shopping trip. Have a wonderful weekend you both...

      I am giving a retirement party for a colleague in our backyard tomorrow. Lots to do and bake. But beautiful weather and I can use all my dishes I collected over the years.😊 I wish you three a beautiful weekend as well.🌞

    So I’m not certain but i heard that ivy destroying building material is an old wives tale. But def it will kill a tree. 😊

      I’m confused about ivy. 🤣 But you’re right, definitely not for the trees.

    Ok ….its a bit late in the season but why don’t you grow herbs in terracotta pots you can control them better …rosemary,basil, my favourite French tarragon. I can smell Provence….if micro greens are what I call salad greens containers about 4 inches high put on the seeds and water you will harvest salad leaves all summer! Listen Justin and jenny I tried to grow an aubergine in north Scotland because the garden centre sold them it was a disaster! I grew a grape thing ….prepare the ground for next year and go and do some brocantes cos you’ve nailed that … you’re learning 😊 ivy no! Bourgainvilea love it …😊have a great weekend with fur baby

      Do you enjoy growing veg & herbs? We have a variety of mint and chives in the old pig troff outside and rosemary in pots outside of the rental cottage. More manageable! We yielded 2 eggplants last year. 🤣 Bougainvillea? Oh googling now!

    certain ivys are horrible for mortar - walls will crumble eventually - I'd remove

  • @user-wl9cf3pn5k
    @user-wl9cf3pn5k Месяц назад +2

    Hedera helix the common ivy can destroy walls as it will penatrate into mortar and expand over time , the wall or building will become weaker and crack allowing water to enter the mortar joints
    Parthenocissus tricupidata also known as Boston ivy is a much better climber to have on a wall as it wont penatrate the mortar
    it is in the grape family , it may be the vine growing on your house ?

      Yes we have the grape variety on our home. We were told it's a type of Ampelopsis.Lovely red berries for the birds to enjoy.

    You are almost entertaining and adorable failure. You need an elder for advisement my love. That is why collective families were important. No worries, you will get there. Today we use the internet but in olden days survival was taught by loved ones/elders to the young. Things like fermented foods ( better for you than vitamins). All those gorgeous pot you love were used for necessary items to stay alive. Things like oils and fermented foods. When the Germans ran through France burning crops, killing all live stock and steeling everything else do you wonder how the country people survived? I understand it’s not a popular subject but one worth looking into my sweet. They did not worry about micro greens. Clear a few square feet and teach yourself about carrots, potatoes & beets. Start simple and grow from there. Study how to enrich your small plot and enjoy success. Later you can support a larger area. I find you adorable and so in need of a grandmama! Much love, Ruth from beautiful Oregon, USA.🥰

      Thank you for your message. Our carrots, beans and beets did wonderfully last year. This sections we're more manageable. I'm definitely starting a much smaller garden!
