@@jackneil9936 it's a hard call to make without having the actual car data and non excessively delay the event. the protest could of gone either way though. for competition sake it sucked but i think overall it ended up working out because we got a few drivers in the top 8, top 4 that usually aren't there so it was good for them to get the lime light and didn't really effect the points much.
And it is crazy because there is that Red Bull one that is points based and completely scored by sensors and it is accurate as hell and they used that tech for a traditional drift style comp and everyone hated it because the judging is what makes the sport of drifting but then those same people complain about the judges…
typically 3, so honestly, they should've been able to see the handbrake pull in the live footage. that brake check was definitely intentional because he lost his chase run and wanted to move on and try to win and he had to take Adam out to do so. he should've been marked as an incomplete for the first run and the last run as well.
At least clutch kickers judges try to do their best and at least seem impartial. FD judges are absolutely biased against certain teams/drivers. That terribly needs to be fixed.

Lol Ida just sent it on a leaking rad n just shut it off between runs lol It's only water, if the can drift in the rain a leaking rad won't be an issue, just add some rad stop leak maybe 🤔 Tbh I don't understand why they don't have quick release rads, my stock rad u can pull in about 30 seconds, it's just 2 clips and out it pops ,run quick disconnect fittings so u don't lose all the water and also speeds up the process. Though it helps if idiots don't brake check people...
If the rule is that they can only use clutch kickers footage, it might be an idea to have more cameras in crucial zones so they have the footage they need to make calls like this in future. But it is what it is
If they are lazy to pay for a camera crew the least they could do is to have camera zones for the teams and everything recorded in said zone can be use for a situation like this. Ain't no way they are judging watching live footage bruh 💀

I agree the 5 min clock is absolutely a crock you expect these teams to repair these racecars in 5 min and still be "safe" when they have 100++ mph wheelspeed lets say we give you 5 min to do a complete brake r&r on your dd then put yer family in it to drive down the highway how safe does that time sound now

Even if you can't get an angle to see the wheels locked up, it was clear his momentum dropped through transition. No hate to klutch kickers but if they want to do a big series they need better setups to catch situations like this. You can't stress driving styles in the drivers' meetings and then not follow up during judging.

I don't think Adam was at fault but with him needing to do a 2 for a chase from his spotter he didn't even have to be there. Split decision from the judges mean it was close but it is what it is. they don't have 20 minutes to decide each battle and honestly most of the people watching weren't at the drivers meetings and are biased towards drivers they like.

Only thing about clutch kickers that I'm not a fan of that the commentators pretty much try to judge the runs and they're in the same room with the judges so they kind of persuade them

biggest difference is that with FD they dont really have time to ease into things. with sometimes less than 5 practice runs before qualifying and add the changing weather conditions to that which we've seen numerous times already. add to that that the e36 is probably an 8/10 fast drift car where everything FD is turned up 11/10 and has to be driven at 100% to even work as intended. even when he was driving his enjuku s15 i always felt that he just couldn't get enough seat time to the point where he knows that car like his back pocket. like many competitions, all the time that goes into the competition there's actually not a lot of driving time.
And he's on ig acting really awkward. "sorry I slowed in a decel zone" like he didn't pull the handbrake through the whole transition when you normally get back on the gas asap.

FD shouldn't just install GoPros, they should take a look at the Euro series like Driftmasters and finally get to installing GPS data units themselves. Drifting will always be a judge based sport, but keeping it as fair as possible should be more of a priority than it appears to be right now

Even displaying morals and principals for others to follow, though you are not perfect. How you Adam dealt with the klutch kickers situation and many other situations you faced through your time broadcasting has made me proud to view your channel and see your growth not to mention the progress in your driving from the beginning of the channel. Truthfully some lz vlogs at the end of a stressful day brings some joy. They're (relatively cheap) and for situations like this it would make fault so much easier to determine. Sucks at the end of the day but I hope Klutch Kickers takes this as a learning experience and a way to improve moving forward.

I kinda hate that they won't review "outside" footage. It could clear up problems and mistakes so easily with a lower angle, a different view. Instead of just the livestream footage which is usually not that "deep". It's made for entertainment instead of analysis. Well he did build the e36 ground up and has been using it for quite a while and can test with it whenever he'd like, unlike the RTR.
The e36 is a much better drift chassis than the mustang, that why Chelsea has tried to make the rtr cars drive as much like the BMW as possible

I'd have to say for me, Adams content is the most enjoyable content on RUclips, that and Vaughan's. For two individuals who broadcast to a broad set of viewers, you carry yourselves very well. Even displaying morals and principals for others to follow, though you are not perfect.
How you Adam dealt with the klutch kickers situation and many other situations you faced through your time broadcasting has made me proud to view your channel and see your growth not to mention the progress in your driving from the beginning of the channel. Truthfully some lz vlogs at the end of a stressful day brings some joy. Also sidenote, @Mike great job on all the work you've done on Adam's vids, you've taken the channel to another level even the interaction with viewers(heck big up everyone involved in the production of this great content)

Drift masters they judge completely different. It's much more technical.
@@infiniti1123 yes but seen as Dave help build it up to what it is now, maybe he’d be able to give klucth kickers some ideas on how to improve to become a much more efficient/fair judged comp. For example camera set ups. Having some for the stream like intended but also give the judges some angles that only they can see as and when they need to
@@mberry7857 Someone else mentioned gopros in the car to get driver perspective and I can't believe that's not already implemented. They're (relatively cheap) and for situations like this it would make fault so much easier to determine. Sucks at the end of the day but I hope Klutch Kickers takes this as a learning experience and a way to improve moving forward.

they should have a rule that your handbrake has to light up your brake lights so the judges can more easily see when you use it
That would be and AWESOME rule change. It would actually make a big difference.
More cameras, and windscreen front and rear led stripes for the e-brake.
Wire the handbrake to the reverse light so you know when they're left foot braking too
Different colors for brake and e brake would be the way

Hey Adam if you want a quicker rack get a 4 cylinder z3 rack. They're half a turn faster from lock to lock, common upgrade for track guys on the e36's and they bolt in
Z3 is 2.7 compared to the e36 M3 3.2 turns. If i'm not mistaken.

Bad call by judges. I get that they can't review all random footage provided but if they get such good footage which shows the fault as clearly as it does... They might need to review it.

Hey Adam have you ever considered coming to Canada for some grass roots drift event it’s called drift jam at Toronto motorsports Park I have a couple videos check it out on just giver garage drifting isn’t really big in Canada I would love to try to grow the sport out here it would be killer to get some of you world-class drivers down here and show us Canadians how to do it

I kinda hate that they won't review "outside" footage. It could clear up problems and mistakes so easily with a lower angle, a different view. Instead of just the livestream footage which is usually not that "deep". It's made for entertainment instead of analysis. Same with FD, if they had different angels in some places or "private footage" that only the judges can see, it would clear up so much. oh well. You did great Adam! keep it up! Can't wait for FD 2023
