When I received my WG163 trimmer/edger, I was unable to adjust the the angle between the head and the handle. I put my full weight on top of the trimmer head as shown in the video, but the handle wouldnt budge. I loosened the phillips-head screw inside the head-to-handle shaft (black plastic knobs encircled in orange plastic). After that, I was able to adjust the head--to-handle angle.
Because of the way it's packaged straight the method in the video doesn't work when you take it out of the box, it's sort of impossible. So thank you for this.
Hi Reg, maybe it's run out? Can you open it and have a look? It has auto - feed too, so it should automatically come out every time it switches on? Then you also have the command feed button for line on demand which is what you are referring to?
@@nickijones5010 it’s brand new I only bought it yesterday so the string is still full yes. It just stops the strimmer as soon as I press the bottom to use auto feed
Can't find any reviews regarding this problem but I'm sure I'm not the only one.Bought one works fine BUT!! seemingly you cant buy a replacement blade for the line trimmer , mine is almost three years old the blade has disappeared for all the guard is in great condition I had to replace it in its entirety just because I could not get a replacement blade. I did get in touch with worx they sent me a link to eBay and advised me just to replace the whole guard not a train smash at £8-99 but seems a waste because as I said the guard is still practically new
Just bought one, and now it's assembled. Thanks!
Glad to hear that! :)
Much more helpful than the manual it comes with
Great video, it would have been nice to see a demonstration on how to change the spool line👍👏
Great suggestion! We will bear that in mind for next time.
THANK YOU! The manuals that come with these tools are pretty much useless, so this saved me. Much appreciated!!

My bro, thank you! I'm disabled ( legs don't work) and the head is locked tight.
Thank you so much! This worked.
Great extra tip, thank you!
You are a hero for this

Really pleased you found them helpful!
Ty!!!! You explained to us how to adjust it to use for both ways!!
Can it be used on rainy days?
I need help attaching the handle on the wg183e I don't understand how it fits
I just can’t adjust the head. Guess I’m not strong enough.
Hi Debbie, it could be that the screw is a little tight. You can adjust it as per the comment above. Hope that helps.
It is very stiff
My button to get the string out on top does nothing? Any ideas how to get more out

Head adjustment isn’t working
thanks .... yes the manual doesnt help much.
Funny, NOTHING on mine is metal but the little trimmer bar -- ALL the rest, plastic!!
It’s obviously not this model then. This is the WG163e. Which one do you have? There is a lower cost version?
