As long as it's not a video on how to cast on my Roku you got my attention. I'm sick and tired of all these posers saying they can give you an app for your Roku and then they're just casting from their phone. I'm hoping this videos better cuz this guys had a great record
Many years ago I owned a television brand name was Curtis Mathis.. 20" I remember it had a connection in the back of it to plug in so you can use headphones with a long cord you could listen and watch t.v. and not bother others that are sleeping.. I miss that t.v. 35 years ago, no more Curtis Mathis
all the apps within Roku update automagically anyway as long as you have an internet connection

I don't care for background music either. On some videos the music is unbearably loud and I just turn the video off. Not worth the annoyance.

Some stray radio frequency pulses that block or scramble ROKU communications or even a drop on the floor or accidental battery popping out of the remote is enough to scramble the brains of the micro-processor inside the hand held remote unit of streaming stick and this is how the night mare begins.
Just put the "remote" ROKU streaming stick unit into the freezer, batteries and all (not the dongle that is plugged into the TV, leave it in place) for 30 minutes. This stops the failed two way communications between the remote and the ROKU dongle plugged into your HDMI port, I don't think the cooling does very much but the Faraday cage stops the mindless endless loop of send receive two way communications to both ROKU units allowing the reboot to take place and the pairing to finally begin. Otherwise your ROKU streaming stick gets an endless loop busy signal and can't "pair or sync up. At least this is my working theory for now. But the freezer system works well every time with out flaw and has reduced my profanity towards ROKU exponentially.
Make no mistake, both units use endless loop of send receive . Removing the batteries does not always work. This is a defect in ROKU software and hardware, the streaming stick does not know when to stop attempting the sync or pairing even though the green light does not blink it is still trying to sync from the main ROKU unit so you can't get the green light to come on or "pairing to begin, with the remote. The Faraday cage breaks the endless cycle momentarily e.g. 30 minutes in freezer. so reset can then take place, 15 minutes may work fine, try it.
No need to take the batteries out of the remote unit with the freezer Faraday cage trick. May not work well with older infra red models which use digital pulse frequency signals pulsing an infrared LED. Usually the remote unit will link back up automatically on your blue/black streaming stick and work normally with no further trouble as soon as you bring it out of the freezer. I have great success with this method. Blue/Black ROKU streaming stick using radio frequency not infra red remote.Older remotes with infrared respond to battery removal and replacement.Good luck, let me know if this helped.
I have had my Roku Express since 2016. Had no problems with this tutorial. I also have Am. Firestick Voice 2018. They both have pros and cons. Going to try a Android 8.0 S10 box next!
Follow his instructions CLOSELY. That way you can WASTE even more time before learning none of this works.

So you can use ANY Android app on the Fire TV device and ONLY Roku apps on a Roku TV or Roku box!

Why not just move your channels around on the home screen to reorder them the way you want it to be. You can move them natively without an app to reorder for you.

Hey thanx, I'm brand new to Roku. At the risk of boring everyone, I'd love to see some basics. How to add and remove channells. How to rid myself of the many built in channells I'll never use. One more thing, this may sound dumb, I wish I could type stuff on a keyboard instead of that tiny remote, it's so slow......

Why would an avid roku user not just go Up once but instead cycle all the way down the list? If you're trying to make things easy for people then do the easy steps as well, genius.
gonzalo, the channel kodes are listed. go to your roku account add channel codes, then system update on ur roku device. you should then see them.

He can scream all he wants. The worst purchase that I ever made was buying a Roku TV. It freezes constantly, I cannot watch a program all the way through. I also have cable and my cable company told me that the problem is NOT with my cable because I have two other television sets in my bedroom and my office and they work perfectly.
I had that problem. Cable company was sure it wasn't them. I got an updated modem and now it works without all the buffering.

Great camera picture and editing but really needs better microphone. With all the room echo, it sounds like author is using camera mic. Better audio would really make your channel pop. (no pun intended). I was looking for a browser Roku app. Is there one?

When you say you have a lot of channels, I only saw as many as 31 on your Roku. I have about 130 channels on mine.

Funny, my Roku came with headphones and a jack in the remote...? Your Roku auto updates every 24h. Why add an extra app? And instead of sorting and searching your "channels" vertically ,you add another app to your list so you can search all your channels horizontally? You can reorder your channels on your main menu so your favorites are at the top. Roku is tightly controlled. Roku is great for paid content, but is nothing like Kodi.
The roku stick remote doesn't have a headphone jack, or it didn't originally, they may have it now.
You most likely have the other version the Roku express doesn’t come with the headphones you have to download the app

These channels work.. Just the author of the video did not put them CASE SENSITIVE.
FOR Mychannels: MyChannels ( no spaces and make M and C Capital)
FOR Google Voice: GOOGLEVOICE ( no space)
FOR UpdateMyChannels - UpdateMyChannels ( no spaces and capitalize U M and C)
