Hi i am having a very frustating problem but my bmw was never a dealer vehicle but made specifically as a rally car so the parts situation is very complex. The engine is made up of three engine components as for the models e46, e90, and M3. Some of the parts i have to order are through a race organization in europe but the sensor i ordered for this is a new OEM oil temperature sensor. I replaced all the temp. sensors including the level sensor ( hella ) oil pressure aftermarket but the code keeps coming up P0197 after replacement of the new OEM. Then later a p2812 comes up. I am using an AUTOFIX scanner for trying to solve the problem to no avail. I have just bought an updated INPA diagnostic software. The AUTOFIX only reads these two codes but everything is fine according to this scanner. The oil temp. is read 160.10 and all the O2 sensors are active with CL loop. Transmission gears all are good as well. Can't figure it out. You guys are very close to my house when i seen your introduction i recognize the street in your guys video. I live in West Hollywood can you guys give me any advice? Your guys videos have helped me out many times.
