Colt McCoy had his opportunity but he fail. Now he didn't get as my chances as some QB. But he went to several team but didn't pan out. We don't know what happened in practice and what the coaches saw in him... Even Derek Anderson played as a starter and had his chances but went bk to back up.

Idk about “everything” but certainly A LOT. Just like tannehill on the dolphins with shit coaches like Philbin and gase and a terrible o-line people were questioning if he was a good qb. Then all of a sudden he’s a great player on the Titans.

I have a great deal of respect for the way you characterize these less than successful players. You aren't afraid to point out their failings, but you demonstrate that they also have had their victories and had reason to expect success when they came to the NFL. Too often we forget that 'busts' were often individuals of talent and determination who through either poor luck or poor decisions (sometimes both) failed to enjoy the same level of success in the NFL that they did in college and high school.
Thank you for teaching me an important lesson about looking at people....there is often far more than meets the eye....

Lol. Browns fan here. I really enjoy your videos. You know your football that's for sure. It's really refreshing to see young people who are true fans and have an almost encylcopedic knowledge of the history, players, coaches, stats etc of the Football. I was beginning to think I was the only one left. Great great knowledgeable video. About Colt McCoy,.........Everyone goes crazy over the Manziels and Mayfields and never gave Colt much of a thought even before the nerve damage injury. In my humble opinion, if Colt doesn't suffer that nerve damage injury in his arm, he would have been a great great NFL QB. There's not many college QB's you can watch and say "That guy is going to be something special" Colt was that guy for me. At Texas, when Healthy, he was as good a QB as anyone could ever ask for. He had a really fine arm. He didn't have a cannon but it was plenty strong enough for the NFL. His touch, timing, anticipation and accuracy was superb. Without that nerve damage in his throwing arm, Colt would be a top 5 or 10 QB right now. Thanks, really enjoyed your video!

I don't know if you look at old video comments but, if so, your channel is great. I've got a ton of videos to watch now. After watching a lot of your football player clips, I'm reminded of how hard it is to really make it in the NFL. In the NBA/MLB, once you're there, you've really accomplished something. In the NFL, being drafted is just a start. The lack of guaranteed money is so vital. There isn't enough money in the NFL to offer it. Teams need to pay 53 guys! Violence/injuries also play such a huge role. It doesn't shock me Colt got blown up by James H. He's one of the most brutal hitters in NFL history and Colt was such a small player. He wasn't much over 6'0" and he wasn't a great athlete by NFL standards. As with all of these guys who flame out, I wish them well. Transitioning out of football must be hell.
