This is a great example of why you should never pull guard or shoot half ass shots in an actual fight. Having said that, Mutual Combat is a beautiful thing, I love it.
I have no problem with fighting. Or getting my ass kicked (plenty of times in jujutsu/judo and Kyokushin). But this was pretty immature. You have to drop that crap when you walk through the doors of practice, particularly at one with people from different clubs. All the same, good on these guys. Tough as nails and killer conditioning.
Agreed... I've been in a few to many fights growing up and I dont think they taught me that to squash beef with someone, I should squash them lol we need to evolve and talk about how stupid we are acting " recognise our anger/develop communication " I Love a good fight and have been a pretty big fan of the ufc for a while but something deep down sais... there's better ways to sort issues, unless there isn't/you must fight.
The irony. Two man children fight over something petty, in the end one still harbors resentment for losing (he won't admit it). What babies, mind you this is over dishes.
I think if you're dumb enough to fight over something stupid, you're probably dumb enough to believe the beef is squashed. Don't get me wrong, I'm thoroughly entertained, but I've suffered enough injuries to know it isn't worth them dishes.
Im from the UK i started training 6 months ago after watching the first daisy fresh documentary on flo grappling. Cheers for the introduction to jiu jitsu boys keep killing it 🤙🤙
I believe not every problem or conflict should be solved with straight violence. You need to be mature and professional with the way handle arguments in the real world. However I do believe when things get dirty and many lines have been crossed, a straight up 1 on 1 fight where u squash the beef then and then there, is much better than things getting criminal between each other.
If I am upset with a person, why would getting beat up by them in front of a crowd "squash" anything? And how does this apply to physically weaker people? There is too much bro energy in these comments and not enough emotional maturity. Plus the "winner" seemed top have way more support amongst the group, regardless of the outcome
While I’d agree this is very unsportsmanlike, but I’d also say, this is the best training you can have. Using your bjj in a real life fight scenario, no rules. No ref. Respect to both grapplers.
Most fights in public don’t have biting and eye gouging... and yet no one said they were a rule not to do it prior to the street fight beginning. Violence begets violence. If you bite, so will your enemy. If you bring a knife, your enemy may use a knife as well, and then a gun. It’s a fight, not a war.
@@asharedo most fights in public are undertaken by soft men who are most likely circumcized and weak hearted. Most men as seen during the corona bs are just tamed order following donkey's. I don't expect them to bite or rake eyes

Facts. These little boys are literally fighting over cleaning dishes. You’re not a man if you can’t handle a simple situation like that without a physical fight
What’s more respectful & diplomatic than a 1 vs 1 street fight? I disagree wholeheartedly with your entire assessment. Gangs? Nope. Knives, guns, or weapons? Nope. Unfair odds? Nope. smack talk on social media? Nope When the fight ends; either shake hands or go your separate ways. This is what class looks like. And only the men like this truly understand what this is. Peace & Godspeed to all. 🤙🏼
@sirbalanced5486 Talking. Hashing it out. The fact that they couldn't do that shows which path took more courage. Talking is more honorable and argueably more difficult. They're fighters, they know they can fight. Whats there to prove other than their ability to inflict brain damage on eachother? especially if thats their livelyhoods on the line. One deep cut, thats your next match/fight gone. One unecessary hard session and thats your career. Kid was throwing knees on the ground for fucks sake. Sure its better than shooting eachother but why would it even go there in the first place?
@@darkdrake13 they tried diplomacy. They tried talking. They lived together. Then they saw each other 2 or 3 times leading up to the fight. Remember? Talking didn’t get them anywhere. I am curious why some of you think a 1v1 fight is so bad. Have you yourself ever been in a situation where you had to defend yourself or had a fight?
Let me start by saying that I agree with what Heath is saying about letting the boys settle things. However, the rest of the world, and probably most gyms to be honest, are not equipped to have things handled this way. Too much ego and nonsense getting in the way. Takes a special bond and understanding for this. In a weird way it makes me miss the Navy. Gotta love being able to knock the slobber out of each other and grab a beer together after.
That is a very nice comparison. I remember feeling that bond in the military. This fight was a perfect example of how men who choose to fight should act during and after the fight.
Respect 2 very tough fighters fighting it out like men. Especially the winner wow he has amazing stamina to come back like that! I hope the beef is squashed and all is well now.
Lol exactly they were in a class. The instructor taught them that might makes right and fighting is used to solve problems not to defend yourself. Like wtf is this. A BJJ school or some street gang?
Lmao, I can respect the fact that they're willing to hash this out like men but I cannot for the life of me get behind this culture at the gym... "What's the worst that could happen you get your ass beat?" Nah the worst that could happen is you take a clean shot, bounce your head off the floor and die. The worse that could happen is you end your martial arts career early due to an injury. Fighting isn't just a joke especially when you can knee and kick a downed person. Both of these guys sound like cancers, the guy with the red shorts more so than the guy with the dark pants. I wouldn't even dare talk about my training partners like this and if our head coach ever got wind of this brewing they would shut it down immediately not promote it. It's one thing to bring out the best in eachother through competition. It's another thing to promote cancer culture at gyms. But again, I respect that they both hashed it out and I hope that it's all good between them. Seems like a petty thing to be upset about to begin with but whatever.

The fight shows you how much striking can effect your grappling. I see fantastic grapplers exposing their face within perfect range for knees and elbows all the time and it's never something they learn not to do. Although stuff like this isn't nice to see, the reality of fighting is important to learn about.
Love it, respect to both guys and the head coach for letting them work out their issue in the safety of a gym instead of the street.
Thank you for watching!
i love this because i can really relate to both dudes, and most gyms would never allow this shit to happen but in my personal experience, it's better to nip it right then and there rather than let animosity build up because after time worse shit tends to happen.
props to everyone at this gym
especially for releasing the footage to the public bc 99/100 gyms would never allow this to happen and if it did, they wouldnt ever allow it to be posted
props for getting the beef dealt with in a manner that makes sense for two mma guys instead of ruining each other's reputations online/ letting real violence occur outside of the facility

These guys are two crybabies.
a real gym would never even allow this type of behavior to happen and would encourage respect rather than toxic attitudes
Fighting does not solve anything. How does it solve their problems?....if anything, they can end up being worse. IF fighting solved the problems then noone would have retaliation beefs where ppl actually get killed.

Thank you for watching!
If I am upset with a person, why would getting beat up by them in front of a crowd "squash" anything? And how does this apply to physically weaker people? There is too much bro energy in these comments and not enough emotional maturity.

While I’d agree this is very unsportsmanlike, but I’d also say, this is the best training you can have. Using your bjj in a real life fight scenario, no rules. No ref. Respect to both grapplers.
No rules? LOL
i didnt see one eye gouge or bite.. thats not NO rules..

@sirbalanced5486
Talking.
@@sirbalanced5486if they haven't I'm sure you look down upon them and consider yourself a better human being right ?
Let me start by saying that I agree with what Heath is saying about letting the boys settle things. However, the rest of the world, and probably most gyms to be honest, are not equipped to have things handled this way. Too much ego and nonsense getting in the way. Takes a special bond and understanding for this. In a weird way it makes me miss the Navy. Gotta love being able to knock the slobber out of each other and grab a beer together after.
Thanks Herman

That is a very nice comparison. I remember feeling that bond in the military. This fight was a perfect example of how men who choose to fight should act during and after the fight.
Yes there is something primal about that and instinctive. Both men earn eachothers respect I believe.

Thank you for watching Sean!

That dude who was getting dominated most of the fight has a lot of heart to come back and win. Wow, that’s awesome.
I have mixed feelings about teammates beating up on each other, but I absolutely agree how disagreements can fester and poison a community from the inside. It wasn't a brawl, but like a modern day duel with agreed upon rules. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt and peace was achieved.
But what if someone was hurt? This is dumb the rule should be if you wanna fight that bad then you’re not mature enough to be in the gym
@@GS-rm7fv Absolutely agree GS. This gym is clearly run and attended by dipshits who aborted any emotional or intellectual maturity in high school. I'm old school, and in my opinion, this was settled the right way. This was a true fight, not lightened up by too many rules. It was great to see the grappling skills the guys had, knowing full well if they left any openings they would be punished for it by their opponent. Also good that they didn't seem to hold any grudges afterwards.

He’s correct about fighting back in the day. I was in high school in the later 70’s. I was bullied in grade school and used that chip to learn how to box and wrestle and do a little karate. Then I grew. I had a great jaw. An incredible punch and a short fuse for bullies. Like he said we fought. No guns. No knives. I was in close to 50 street fights. And only a few times don’t a night in a lock up. It was just an accepted fact of being a guy in certain crowds. Something that could save a lot of lives if reimplemented today.
