Littlest kids find big hops!

- The littlest batch of goat kids are now 1 to 2 weeks old and they are full of all kinds of hops. We let them out when their moms are eating their grain so they don’t have kids jumping in their food. The babies use that time alone to discover all the interesting things their bodies can do.  It is so much fun to watch them. The earliest kids born this season are now 6 to 8 weeks old and beginning to leave for their new homes. We feel so lucky to have so many amazing people who love goats as much as we do taking them home. The last bunch of kids will arrive in the middle of July, until then, we have plenty of babies around the farm to enjoy!

Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry you’re feeling sad. You’re not alone. I’ve come to realize that the natural things or ways in life are so effortless and there’s nothing to question. Just like life, we can make things effortless and not force anything to happen and just BE. Like these happy little goats. You watch them and they are so free and happy and just naturally themselves. I feel that’s why I love watching these videos. I’m learning to be happy and I am someone who has been angry or sad or unhappy all the time…. I’m learning the way to my own happiness in life and I hope you do too. ❤

Oh…..to be a baby goat. Hope what is this other cat’s name? I know only Roger. Are there just the two barn cats? I went back to see the mama goat hop, can’t blame her for not wanting to grow up, the youngins have so much fun!
We have three cats! Virginia is an older double pawed lady, mostly black. Phil is Roger’s brother!

Thank goodness for hefty gravity. Otherwise this hopping gang would result in little goats in the sky. Maybe even there would be a song ... hopping is the norm. They jump on bales and scitter in the barn. Happy goats is the norm.

I always found it interesting that goats and sheep have individual voices - some high, some low, some in the middle. One here sounds like my grandfather yelling "Bah!"
