Dammit! I was watching a great video of a kid building one on his mums best white tiled kitchen floor, kerf cutting the RHS to curve it round the front wheel, I blinked and suddenly there you were! There's a reason why front forks are angled, yours is way too upright but I guess you've discovered this by now.....
I was remembering things like this from my childhood and thought I'd like to have one in an adult size. Just then I find this video and my daughter has outgrown her old bicycle and I'm having ideas about buying a welder. This looks like a great project! I think if I do this, I'll probably angle the forks a bit more and use a taller bar so I don't have to hunch over to ride it. Maybe some angles cut out of the square tube up front so it and curve up to the head tube. Did you ever fit the rear brakes? Does it need them? My daughter's little bike has a coaster brake, I wonder if I could fit a lever or pedal to operate that...
We only fitted the front brake, never really went fast enough to need both! If I was to make it again I'd use 40mm box all the way through the frame. Be much stronger than what I had, where I changed to 25mm for the platform, but it was all out of scrap.
Yes, preety looking outcome but... rear brakes? You just took em off? No Suspension either? you wasted some equipment you already had there...

its been a long !!! good job
Great DIY
I hope to see you convert it to electric in the future! Possibly charge it from solar too!
That thought has definitely crossed my mind! The rear wheel gearing could be interesting. Still got the chain, so perhaps one for over the winter 😁
