For me its ultra relaxing to see how you push hard while blasting through the speakers some of the most chill music vibes, doing an ultra save, and continue doing the lap like nothing happens. You are a pro, an absolute pro
Well he almost stuffed it. Nobody but instagram fools drives with music.
@@Malc180s yeah. He's an Instagram fool 😂🤦♂️
The legs were a distraction too.....
I love Misha.... but it's unprofessional and dangerous (in my opinion as a former race and rally driver) to listen to music when driving full send - OR EVEN 7 tenths. You need clear channels for all your senses and complete immersion in the driving experience. Sure, listen on a holiday drive or going to work or stuck in traffic - but not on the racetrack for crying out loud.
I learned that lesson the hard way 40 years ago listening to the Doobie Brothers.... but I was 23 years old.
Everyone is different. I have music always on. Then someone in car asks what was that song and I reply with idk, check history I'm not listening while driving"@@Malc180s

How precise he counter steers just to snap the steering back as soon as he hits the asphalt again. That is impressive car control!
This right here cements my opinion of you Misha, truly an incredible driver. Amazing save.
I bet that would be a popular “short.” Nice save! Every ring lap is it’s own story. Good music too. Happy New Year!
The fact you were jamming to music and saved it like a mad man truly makes me want to be your friend, maybe some day I will see you at the track my good sir
That's nice and all, but does that mean you only want competent people as your friends? I thought character was the most important quality of a person? Unless you're pragmatic to the bone, in which case I would NOT want to be your friend. But I could be wrong of course, assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups. Am I wrong?
@Paul Michael Freedman what's friendship without competition? It pushes both people to be better and eventually makes you both have different strengths, and with those different strengths you teach each other different things to make each other stronger. As long as it's not a toxic environment where it's basically bullying each other saying you're better than the other than yeah, 100% I want competent friends.
@@justinrenaud7361 Does it have to be about getting stronger? Can't it just be about the person, regardless of his or her qualities? As humans we no longer have an evolutionary need to be better than the rest to survive. We can all just live alongside each other with to each their own.
@paulmichaelfreedman8334 it doesn't need to be, but when you treat each other like brothers you want to see them do good for themselves, so we push each other's ass to achieve what we thought was impossible. My friend is getting a house next month, I just bought a 30,000$ car at 20. It's not about being better than the other person, but pushing them to do better no matter what. To say we started off in a shifty neighborhood to us being able to get a house, a brand new car and eventually starting a business, I think it's a pretty damn good thing to have friends that push you in the ass from time to time 🤷
@@justinrenaud7361 I wish I had friends, but that's just my autism. All people see is anti-social behaviour.
Thank you for sharing this with us! Not only a great save, but a testament to your skill (and confidence thereof) that you continued on unfazed. And you have definitely found the right co-driver!
Didn’t even turn the music down or off, I definitely would have rode in silence after something like that 🤣🤣🙏🏽
Turning everything off and thinking about the different ways they could've died in a crash just isn't something race drivers do. Instead you keep going. Great save nonetheless :D
I watched the save at 0.25 speed, and the steering wheel control/reflexes are on point! Very impressive! Something you can only achieve after thousands of hours of practice.
I'll let you in on a little secret. It's called the ass. It feels everything the car does, and especially when wheels lose grip, your ass is the absolute first to know. Trust your ass when you're driving in a car. I had the same as Mischa once, I didn't even think but the wheel just auto magically turned the right way to save the car, and it was all me. Afterwards I was like, what just happened?
Maybe you already knew but I just had to tell about my own experience.
@@paulmichaelfreedman8334Misha even talked about this in a video on seat setup : how the setup and corresponding driver position gives invaluable feedback about car behaviour.
the steering wheel goes the opposite way automatically, the problem is catching it while adjusting the gas / breaks at the exact moment the car straightens.

Fear comes from knowledge. She didn't know of the consequences
@@shanginadildo I mean yes and no. Things sometimes happen too fast to really have it get processed and manifest as fear right away. I’ve almost wrecked my bike when I was in a pretty deep state of focus and I knew I would have died or been paralyzed or lost limbs if I had crashed but it happened too fast to really think about it when it was happening.
@@shanginadildo Nah, it comes from tinny balls
it kicks in when you're driving your 1994 corolla in some backroads at 4:30am alone and your rear end breaks loose at 150kmh around trees and you think to yourself "fuck that was sick" and the next time you wake up you think about what could've happened. after a week that anxiety wears off and you go to some backroads again to drive like you have many lives to choose from and the same story begins. speaking from experience🤣@@deki90to

Music is superb. Chris Rea (incase you didn’t know). Fitting as Chris is a massive car nuts and written so many songs about cars.
One can't just shut down and slam the brakes as some people would do, you have to ride it through and focus on what you are doing. Nice save!
It depents the situation. In rare ocasions its better a rough estimation of car trajectory and lock brakes (no abs) so the car, if possible, makes a 360 in the middle of the road. I have done it two times. The first one no contact anywhere, the secont time just a rear bumper and one taillight.
@@user-xd3ij7cw8s Yes, if you are too far gone it's better to tap the brakes a little to spin the car around. That way you can control where the car goes, I have done it my self a few times. But some people tend to just slam the brakes and hold them there, letting the car do it's thing until it stops or they hit something. Keep calm and ride it through is usually the better option, if it's still saveable.

I too am guilty of trying to impress a girl with my car. This is in 1978 I was in my 1969 Mustang with bucket seats. My lady friend was sitting on a pillow on the tunnel between the 2 seats behind the four-speed shifter. I went around the corner without enough breaks and almost pulled a 180. It was pure luck that I was able to get the car under control and slowed down Needless to say I never did that again. I could have killed the both of us. None of us had seatbelts on. I was 18 years old. Oh to be young again. She was also 18. She never asked me to go fast again.

Миша, блин, береги себя! С Новым Годом!
great driving and save, great song by chris rea, all in all a great clip and vibe
Had to rewatch to get this one. Yeah, the entry speed was indeed very fast. The sudden breakout was still very scary.. if it happened with my shitbox, okay, but aren't modern cars supposed to lose traction gradually? 😀Anyway, magnificent save.
This could be absolutely anything. A bit of water, coolant, oil or sand on the track combined with tires on the hot end of where they're supposed to be. And at these speeds, a minor loss of grip can become a major pucker moment in a fraction of a second.
It did lose traction gradually. :)
Tbh everyone who said the M240i is slow(ish) has to see this.. 😂
I mean sure the entry speed was very optimistic and physics showed they have not been turned off…. But I think a car that can deliver those speeds into a corner is surely fast right 😂
I think in another video he said it was actually caused by a slow puncture or something
@@Mustached over/under inflation will also do it. That’s why they’re almost always lowering the tire pressures after they’ve warmed them up.

From my experience in sim at least, a step-out there is notoriously hard to catch, I can only imagine what it's like in a real car. Also, judging by this your taste in music is absolutely stellar
In a real car it's easier because your ass picks up any anomalous G forces faster than anything else in your body. By the time you see it happening, your ass has already instructed your brain to compensate. This no joke, even though it may sound funny. It's called driving by the seat of your pants meaning you can FEEL the car.
