    I had a creak on a bike I just built, turned out to be my Ergon SM Pro saddle as well! I tend to pick up the back of the bike by the saddle at times and I think that may have contributed in my case. Great long term review on the Spectral and looks like your health has improved which is fantastic to see. I am trying to decide between the Spectral and the YT Capra myself. Cheers!

      Cheers mate! Appreciate it. Yeah the saddle on mine has eventually stopped creaking after having to put some lube on the rails every couple of rides. Not sure why it finally stopped but I’m happy about it because it’s pretty comfortable! That’s a tricky choice! I don’t know too much about the Capras but when I was looking around I felt like they weren’t quite as good value compared to the canyon. That might have changed though

    got this bike 2 years ago (with 27.5 wheels), and I've been looking for an excuse to change it (mainly because of the paintjob - I find it a bit boring, but it was either raw metal or that weird looking red/orange one) but I just can't find a reason to do it! Yeah, the MTB prices have been falling at Canyon, but the new ones still don't come close to the 2022-23 models. It is light, it's agile, it has great components, front and rear have a longer travel than the old and new ones, and the most important thing; it has never let me down. The Spectral 6 by far one of the best bike purchases I have ever made, and I don't see me changing it anytime soon

    By FAR one of the funniest mtb content creators. I'm getting my first dually mtb soon, would this be a good option for someone who wants to do a mix of gnar downhill and flowy trails? I'm summing up either this or the Canyon Torque Mullet AL 7.

    • @BlueSkyBoys
      @BlueSkyBoys  Год назад +1

      Cheers mate! Really appreciate it. I think the Torque would be a good option if the gnar you are riding is going to be fast paced. If it's more janky and slow you probably don't need the extra suspension and the lower weight of the spectral will help. You can definitely hit the limit of the spectral in a bike park though. Riding a XL AL6 almost a year now. Not getting as many rides as I'd like, but it has been very good so far. I've immediately changed the brakes to Magura MT5's, don't really like SRAM brakes and those Code R's didn't feel right to me. Also swapped the handlebars to my trusty Spank Vibrocore 800mm with 50mm rise. I don't get why Canyon specs it with 780mm bars for all frame sizes, taller guys usually need wider. The stock dropper was perfectly fine (200mm), but swapped it for 240mm OneUp since I have long legs. It's still not flush with the frame... The drivetrain was surprisingly well adjusted. Overall it is a very good value for the money and there was nothing better at the time of purchase.
    Good job on the video!

      @@theyvidson2054 It's an awesome bike aye! Rebound I just do by feel, with the fork if you stand off the bike and compress the fork it should rebound at the same rate your arms naturally come back up, if it feels like it pushes your arms up it's too fast, if it falls behind it's too slow. That's a good starting point. I'm still tweaking the rear rebound constantly, I find it varies depending on the track, but you could apply a similar concept to the fork to find a starting point. As for tokens, I haven't changed it from stock, so whatever they ship with haha (haven't opened it up to see)

      @BlueSkyBoys  Год назад +1

      I've had a Trek Remedy in the past. I would say the Geo on this is much more modern and capable. A slacker head tube angle and steeper seat tube are the main differences. This version is a 29" but I'm sure the 27.5 version would feel more like a Remedy. That being said I'm pretty sure Trek is no longer making the Remedy so you're probably best going with this. Hope that helps!

    • @tomekandrzejewski6662
      @tomekandrzejewski6662 Год назад

      Actually trek redesigned geometry in 2019 models, and produces remedys till now. All the specification is basically the same (lyrik~36 rythm , super deluxe~float, gx~deore, 27.5) so the only difference is the frame. Anyway it gave me another point of view, thanks!

    • @BlueSkyBoys
      @BlueSkyBoys  Год назад

      @@tomekandrzejewski6662 from what I understand they haven’t released a 2023 remedy because the Fuel Ex and Slash have taken its spot. So the remedy will probably return in a few years in a very different form. The head tube angle on the remedy is 66 degrees and it’s 64 on the spectral which is a really huge difference in terms of stability in rough stuff. I’d probably look at the Slash as a better option! But that’s not saying the remedy is bad, it’s certainly a very capable bike.
