- Rammstein Zeit is the second song on the Zeit Album. It is my first time hearing the Album. I reacted to this song with a guest once before, but I had no clue what the words were. This time I am reading the words as well. I am trying to get familiar with the songs before I go to their concert next week. Since I have only heard around 8 songs from Rammstein, I have some cramming to do. I have to travel over 1,700 miles to see them on their stadium tour. It is going to be amazing.

The nice thing about Rammstein lyrics is that they ALWAYS have several dimensions. You can read this or that. Of course we all like Rammstein because it has a very clear sound, the voice is unique and their shows cannot be compared to any other band... but the lyrics. Wow!!!

I dunno if this makes sense, but I just love how much you enjoy this because it makes me think about how far we've gotten as people to accept what happened in WW2 and how far we Germans are away from this today, and that we are mostly accepted and kind of loved across the globe for what we made of us.
Seeing people from all across the globe reacting to some German music like Rammstein or Electric Callboy and liking it really shows that we are unbelievably far away from beeing enemies.
I really hope it stays that way.

@@oldguyreactions German may seem harsh and actually is complicated, but once you start to understand it you will get why it the language of "Dichter & Denker"
It has been that way forever, young inexperienced men are ordered to perform certain actions by a small few. We are all one from birth, just exposed to different propaganda shall we say, to promote an enemy out of people who otherwise would be our friends. Just look at the Christmas truce in WW1, they had to move those soldiers to other areas in case they refused to shoot the men they played football with the night before.
Ps, I'm from Scotland 🏴, I've been to Germany once for my 21st, I went to the Nurburgring and everyone I met was just wonderful, super friendly! Had a good few drams with some locals too, best weekend every I ♥️ Germany!
As my favorite band, what I have always loved about Rammstein is that since German is not first language I can disengage from the lyrics and just enjoy till’s amazing vocals and enjoy the band play if I want too. They are just a completely different experience compared to anyone else in music I have listened too. Enjoy the live show!!!

i have to say i was in hospital when this song came out. After the surgery i listened to this during my stay the first time with great Headphones and i had goosebumps. Thought about my beloved friend who is not here anymore and this melody was in my head all these days there.
I saw Rammstein live couple weeks ago here in Sweden, Gothenburg. One of the best concerts in my life. And I have been to many. 🖤

I mostly agree with you, but for the part "when our time comes" - I need to admit, that staying with these who you love is only going to happen if you are fading away slowly. But not everyone has the comfort (?) of passing away the way they planned - and these people will do rock climbing, driving to work, etc.

I know it is kind of spoiling the concert, but you should go through the setlist and read the lyrics with translation. This will actually extend your experience, especially for the songs with darker meaning - like Puppe, Heirate Mich. Without knowing the meaning these are just good songs, but when you understand them - you will truly experience them!
As for the preparations - definitely react to "Ich Will (Hurricane Festival 2016)" with English subtitles. Being able to fully participate in this song is PRICELESS and you will see what you are supposed to sing 😁
Learn the "Engel" lyrics by heart - YOU will be performing it. Same with Zeit!

My thinking was really that our relationships are the most important thing in life. We need to foster and take care of our relationships. Tell them that we care for them etc. Not necessarily spend all our time with them as I said in the video. I really meant that as an analogy to how important they are.
@@oldguyreactions Of course I agree with you that relationship is the most valuable thing that we can "own". I would even risk a statement, that without relationships life is bland and you can't achieve true hapiness. Why? Because joy isn't complete, if you can't share it with someone you love, care or at least like. Come on, that's why reaction videos are so popular - seeing something great, but doing it alone is less joyful even than seeing someone enjoying it! At least that works for me 😉 Maybe I'm crazy extravert?

I was at their concert in Cardiff/Wales and I loved it. Only one thing, it is the postponed Tour from their untitled album, so there are "only" 4 songs from the new album, except they changed it for the US-Tour, but I think it will be the same. But it is still a great show. I do not regret it at all and I "only" had to travel from Ireland to UK and back. Still thanks for your reactions. ❤ Hope I told not too much.

@@oldguyreactions That is good to know, because not all people are always like that. But I do not tell then, what it is and how it feels live. By the way, I was going to the concert on my own, but due to the other fans, I felt never completely alone. I had always a nice conversation. Well, in our area we had an issue with the tickets (although I bought mine two years previous the show was, I did not get it in time), so we had to go to the box office. Also here was everything well organised. And in this row, as well at the gates and later in the stadium I met really great people. I was at the fire zone in the second row and my body was vibrating due to the music. One of my greatest days ever. I wish you a save travel and a great concert. ❤

One thing, not sure if you've been to the show yet or if it's now imminent, my last comment I gave you a few tracks to check out pre-show (Du Hast, Ich Will, Sonne, Links - iirc!)
If you haven't been yet then I strongly advise you to check out however briefly but if you still have time before the concert also check out "Puppe", "Du Reichst so Gut", "Mein Herz Brennt", "Mein Teil", "Sehnsucht", "Zeig Dich"... even just pulling up the lyrics on your phone for a quick gander. I'm trying to pick randomly so you have points you definitely know throughout the show!!
Mind, whether you have been yet or not, I'm sure you will be wanting to get the set list and go through them all again after you get back anyway to be honest!!

@@oldguyreactions ah, fair enough, I was not sure whether to or not, partly because I don't know if they're playing the exact same set in US/N America as in Europe, and also I know some people just don't want to know like full set list and running order - for any show and artist - beforehand. So my (sleep deprived, anti histamine medicated, and surprisingly genuinely giddy for the awesome experience awaiting a stranger from the internet) super logical brain 🧠 decided to just randomly choose a few of the many absolute bangers to give you some points of reference for the show without overwhelming you!! As if it was a really rich chocolate cake being discussed and not music!?! Like 'well in a couple of days they are going to be going out to eat a huge entire cake, and not just any cake, oh no, this is an extraordinary, incredible amazing cake, considered by many to be the best cake in the world because it is so rich and deep, so full of flavour and better than any other cake. But to get the most out of the amazing cake they really need to have some of the same type of cake beforehand. But if they have too much pre cake cake they won't be able to eat the incredible cake. So I'll choose a nice piece of the right type of cake but just a small piece so that they are not over faced' 🤣
