Back in time I found this channel by coincidence still having less than 500 subscribers and subscribed immediately. Unmesh sitting in front of a cheap PC notebook, wobbling small table, self made background, a mic recording also the street noise. Amazing to see, how this channel has prospered within a few years. Now in an amazing studio, supplying us with an own Photoshop plugin. Congratulations to Unmesh and team, everything done right and the result of hard work.
Unmesh, thank you so much for all your work educating us about Photoshop. You have been invaluable for helping me develop what skills I have with the programme and I’m sure that’s true for thousands of people. Rather than just being an introduction to new and possibly underused features, this is a guide as well that also introduces helpful applications of the features. As a headshot and portrait photographer frustrated by a lack of usable studio space, the 3D backdrop feature is particularly helpful, and you covered it very nicely. Thank you again!
Hi Chris! I didn't realize it would be that important; thank you for letting me know; I'm so happy to know it's helpful to you! Your application will surely be an example for many photographers.
Pretty amazing, seems like most of the issues you addressed in your previous videos about Adobe Photoshop, they've taking into consideration. You deserve compensation from Abobe.
There is an obscure difference between Mac and Windows: On the Mac, key to the right of +/= is "delete" (character code 127), but on Windows, that same key is "backspace" (character code 8). The other delete key on your keyboard is similarly different between Mac and Windows. On Windows, the key combination of Shift + Delete (where "Delete" is not the key next to +/=) is translated by the Windows operating system into the menu command Edit > Cut. An application like Photoshop doesn't even see this keystroke, all it sees is the Edit > Cut menu selection (same behavior as MS Word, Notepad, etc). So the behavior he shows at the beginning with "Shift + Delete" on Windows is actually what happens when you do Edit > Cut. Windows users casually refer to the key next to +/= as "the delete key" even though it is, technically, "backspace". This subtle distinction was missed while preparing the documentation for the one-click delete feature and will be revised ASAP.
Peter, Lenny, Unmesh: Exactly. Almost all of the theoretical tools for todays technology have been invented resp. found prior, some far prior, to 1900: Leibnitz, Newton, Euler, Laplace, Gauß, Riemann (Riemann's hypothesis still unproved), Fourier, Boltzmann, Faraday, Volta, Ampère, Maxwell, Ada Lovelace (yes, the computer language is named after her), Mendeleev, Tesla and many more: nothing based on electricity would exist without their fundamental research. A todays iPhone has nothing new in it what is not covered by the fundamental research by those guys except for the working principle of the transistors in the chips, that needed quantum mechanics, not fully developed prior to 1920 (thank you guys: Bohr, Schrödinger, Heisenberg, Born, Dirac). The rest is fine tuning for business reasons, unfortunately since the late 1980's no more fundamental research is done by the big tech companies, „they are only costs". That's why Edison is missing in the list above, he was more ruthless business man (J. P. Morgan was one of his best friends and both bullied Tesla for greed) instead of genius inventor, that's pretty often false reported.
The updates are incredible! The amount of things you can make with this tools are incredible! They are moving a lot to AI, as you said and they showed how advanced their AI is becoming. Nice job, Adobe.
I was just following another tutorial and they did not mention this error/exception for Windows. It was driving me nuts. Then I arrived to your channel and it's the first thing you have in the video. I should know better than NOT watching YOURS first!! Thank you!
Unmesh, your Compositing plugin is insane! Background removal has always been a tedious affair, especially back in the days of having to do everything by hand. Recently, the best tool I found was in Canva; very intuitive and precise, but from what I'm seeing of your tool in the plugin, it's pretty amazing. Thanks for your awesome channel, tools and info!
Since I found pixiperfect, I drop by and check out the latest. Unmesh, you rock when it comes to Photoshop. Only one thing for me, wish you could slow down, sometimes really hard to follow you. But keep up the good work.
Unmesh, you are amazing. I'm so glad I subscribed. I have been using Photoshop professionally since beta, and I still learn something from every one of your videos. Thank you.
I had a doc sent to me which was extremely low quality. Your guidance saved that doc i shit you not. Although I had to use both lightroom and photoshop to enhance and upscale the image it was extremely gratifying to see the end results. Thankyou
I am seriously so happy for you! I love that you live in this world. We need more guys like you. 😄 You have made my day so many times😄👏💪 Thank you for everything you do for the community. 😄
As usual, great video. I really appreciate the way you point out what you feel works well (in Adobe) and what doesn't work so well. You are not just a marketing promo for Adobe. And, of course there is your continued excellence and knowledge of PS. I am always amazed at your knowledge and ability to explain complex features in a reasonable way. It is not an easy thing to do. Many thanks.
Super insightful regarding the beta version and of course loved the tips at the end of the video, which are top and everybody should take them into account.
Thanks for sharing, yet another great video. Photoshop has some gems that they do forget to and glad you are showing those to the rest of us. Some of the photoshop tools are great and some could be better, hence we actually designed a plug in to do some of those items. Thanks for your channel to share some of the great features that do or don't work.
As someone who was very upset about 3D features going away from Photoshop, I have come to LOVE Substance Painter. I am a 3D and 2D artist and the lag of Photoshop 3D is quite unbearable. Even though I have a beast of a computer for 3D rendering, Photoshop 3D as it is lags way too much for an efficient workflow. I am happy to work in 3D in Substance, export my textures and add more painterly details using Photoshop. The fact that I can apply my Substance Materials to layers in Photoshop is going to help me out with displaying my 3D materials on a 2D image QUICKLY! So excited! Thankyou Unmesh! your videos are always so helpful to the creative community.
Sout-out from South Africa Umesh, you are a valuable asset to us photoshop users and I personally appreciate all the lessons you have been able to guide thru all the years.
That live gradient almost made me tear up. I am always spending 10 minutes on gradients trying to make them perfect, even after presets but this is game changing.
Dude I have been following you since you had a few hundred followers , is amazing to see how long you have come .. Superb consistency proud to see Indians making such informative and super professional content !
Great video! I love it because you speak fast, you have segmented videos and everything is much clearer and more direct to me. Does anyone know if this version consumes less RAM than previous versions (if they have optimized this aspect) or, on the contrary, has it increased?
wow! your English is better than most native English speakers on you tube. as if i could just listen and visually understand your demo without ever watching the screen. you're good and good channel as well.
This is such a good video thank you for sharing all these! I didn't even know you could publicly get access to PS Beta so you've already blown my mind with that one!
Finally gradient feature made it to photoshop from illustrator, it will be so much easy now to edit gradients. I hope they bring more features from illustrator
I figured out what brings up the dialogue box for content aware fill when shift + delete is pressed. If you are not doing it from the background locked later (you duplicate then run shift delete) the dialogue opens.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I can’t wait to try out some of these features. I’m relatively new to Photoshop but I’m competent with Illustrator and InDesign. I’m having a blast learning all the things you can achieve with Photoshop. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into creating this great video. 😊
Love your videos! You've given more insightful information than anyone else I've seen. You are fantastic at explaining the concepts and how to make them work. Much appreciated, I have been searching for a long time to help progress my Ps skills to the next level and you've helped tremendously. Thank you!
The new cylinder warp looks nice. I've spent too much time making mockups for pill container packshots where the labels had to be changeable. The same warping effect was achievable but quite tricky to get right. First of you had to create a smart object half the width of the label (half the circumference of the cylinder). Inside that smart object you had to load in the label as new smart object. Then you had to go to distort -> spherize -> horisontal only -> 100%. Once all that was done, you had to use the warp tool on the original smart object to make the perspective match the image. So much hassle.
I am back using Photoshop, your videos are a great help in bringing me up to speed with the new features since 2020, and I did get your plugin for compositing. thank you for all your work effort in providing this information.
ive been watching your videos for years unmesh. u are the god of Ps. because of your videoa ive learn a lot from Ps. you always have to make it easy to follow the steps on ur tutorials. thank you so much and as u always say, keep creating. more power.
Oh man, I loved that video! I usually don't keep up with Adobe/Ps updates, so that was amazing to watch. That content aware fill from external image was 🤯🤯 And the subjects/features selection in Camera Raw was mind-blowing too. Also loved the fact that your videos are never "Adobe smoothed", even when you've done good work with them. When something is wrong or feels useless you just say it and keep it real 🤝🔥
This is Amazing Unmesh! I love the way you explain and resolve the matters! By the way, the free version of plugin allowed for commercial works within photoshop? Take care!
I'm as exited about a new video from this guy as I am for the new PS features. Kudos to this dude nailing every topic in picture perfect quality with great audio! Watch and learn youtubers. 💪
So love all the work you put into these videos. I have learnt so much already. How about cropping an image from a multiple image layer. Right now it crops the whole layer not just the one image. Thanks keep up the great work.
The bug @ 17:23 you talked about the Warp option on a cylinder, is working on my Photoshop 2022 (23.5.2), I’m maxed out on my iMac, so I can’t install 24, until I get a new Mac. Has it been fixed? Thanks
I know this is off topic, but I figured you were the one to ask. Bye the way, thanks for all the great videos you've don. I'm working in CS6 using a dual monitor set up. When I create a new work space for an image and try to drag it to the other monitor, the image is momentarily there, then boom, it's gone. The work space is there, but no image.
Fantastic advice again, wish I had stayed on the previous version too however got a bit carried away and got rid of it so now am stuck with 2023. Never mind I am still learning PS and LR anyway. I know for next time to keep a copy of the previous version
Hi there! First, I love your video’s, they are clear and give a lot of info, thank you for that! Now I discovered this one, and have seen it several times now. Especially your presentation of the PIXimperfect Compositing tool looked cool. So having a CC Adobe membership, I went and loaded the plugin. Now I’m not sure, but as it seems, you do need a licence for about all the features you are showing, correct? So there is no longer a free version we can play around with? Looking forward to more info on this! Have a great day, cheers! Alain
Looking forward to using your PIXimperfect plug-in, Unmesh, thank you very much for that! After just seeing your demonstration with the [Alt]+[Remove Subject] function (TC 6:21), let me suggest one thing: instead of isolating the subject on a new layer with a layermask and deleting the subject from the original full image, leaving just the cleaned up background, also, as a first step, leave the complete original image as the background layer intact, add a copy of the backgroundlayer which then becomes the cleaned new background and add the masked subject layer. Like this, the unaltered original image stays available as the original background layer. That, by the way, is what you and all Photoshop professionals keep teaching: leave the background layer, make a copy of it and THEN start working! ;-) (Yes, I know, that in essence, the original layer is still there, as the masked new subject layer... but I think my suggestion still makes sense.) And one second thing: are those "hidden" features like the [Alt]-click on that [Remove Subject]-button in your plug-in displayed somewhere? I would never have imagined Alt-clicking on a button in your plug-in. Can you please make such additional features somehow visible inside your wonderful plug-in? Thanks a bunch! Piet

You deserve compensation from Adobe for explaining everything that Adobe never explains. You are a life saver my man
especially when thinknig about the pricing adobe has it should be common courtesy that they explain this stuff
Outstanding, One of the few Instructors I don’t have to speed up.. The aside comments are hilarious and make learning fun. Mahalo!

It’s called Gaussian because of the mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauß. He invented the algorithm behind the blur …. 😊
