Maaaan, I paid over 150 euros for that Rokinon/Samyang 35mm pancake lens when it first came out. What a steaaaaal you got there!
The refresh rate on the lights in your kitchen are killllling me haha great vid tho! Keep it up!
i went to 4 thrift stores and none had a single film camera lol
I try to thrift for cameras but no luck either. Seeing all those cameras he finds makes me a little jealous. Wish thrift stores near me were like that.
In my area thrift stores are noticing the increasing popularity of film cameras and are increasing prices as a result. $25 for a zoom point and shoot lmao.
NorCal thrift stores here are noticably aware of film photography gear and charge nearly ebay prices now.
@@slr7075 where in norcal would you recommend? im pretty much equal distance every way
@@slr7075 yeah but they don't know shit about cameras. I make up lies about the gear they're selling and haggle cheaper prices
Hey JP! The electronics & camera section of your thrift stores are bigger than the biggest thrift store in my area! I'm always jealous of your finds!
I like the wide angle on the Tamron for vlogging but the auto-focus seems to be hot garbage.
I’m such a sucker for thrift store videos!
You are truly the thrift KING!!! love the video!
reminds me of the time i thrifted 32 film camera's for 90 euro's and every camera had a lens. it was a dream come true
Im so jealous of your thrift finds!😭
That Samyang/Rokinon 35mm f2.8 is sharp. One of the first primes I bought and is almost always on my camera. Very cool find. Also, a $10 Ricoh FF-70 (FF-90 in US) thrift find is my favorite point and shoot. They made good little cameras.
Let's see that video on this Rokinon lens! Also, I see that subtle Waverunner flex on the feet!
What a great find! Great video as always man!
looking forward to seeing the 3 photos from 1997!
Those thrift stores are nicer than the Walmart’s around here lol
You still have shops where they give you plastic carrier bags?
Woah $5.00 pricetag is insane! Nice find. 🙌
That was an absolutely unique find, congrats (so jealous). They must not have known the value of that lens. Great option for street on a small camera. The other day I found a Pentax zoom film camera that my family used to have when I was little for $6. Went through the excitement of finding the batteries (that cost me more than the camera lol) putting in film with my 5 y.o. son and started shooting. He loved the rush and the surprise when it powered on and all the functions were intact. Good stuff.
I went to the local Salvation army store. I found a Canonet. When I got home I saw it was missing the rewind nob. The meter was not working and the shutter speeds were off. However, it had a filter and a hard Canonet case. If I can’t repair it myself I can still try and sell it for parts. The filter and case were worth what I paid. It was also fun looking.
Nice pick up on the Tamron you will enjoy it a lot. I have the Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2... it is a monster of a lens. Blessings bro, always enjoy the content. 🙏📸
Badass score. Im hoping to find something in El Paso. Love the videos dude.
Started only buying used lenses. Got that Tamron for cheap. Great condition
wow what a deal! i have the rokinon 35mm 1.4 and the images are very nice out of that lens! can make skin a bit orange... but a easy fix. would love to see if the 2.8 does the same.
Nice save with the lens. Came in clutch for that Sony of yours
love these videos! Autofocus is boo boo though hahaha, i have one of those minolta freedom's, great little camera!
Don’t know if you peeped but soon as you switched to the Tamron there was a weird black line moving through your footage. That lens may not play nice with your video camera.
thats probably from shutter speed, sometimes happens with artificial lights if your shutter is too fast
Ah that Cannon Powershot G2 a pinnacle of Stone Age Technology for us digital users 4 megapixels and used CF cards as in C for crazy and F for Fvcker because who buys those hahahaha
this videos are so much fun! congrats on the great finds
def the 17mm, love a wider angle
I use a Tamron 70-180 on my sony, I dont use a zoom too much so it wasnt worth the cost to go with Sony. Its a good lens
found your channel today, subbed!
I went to the same thrift store you went to in Sac today, I couldn’t find anything 😫
A lot of people use the Samyang for street since it makes the sony cameras a compact setup.
That Canon Af of any model is goals to find under 10$ period
haha funny seeing some of the cameras in that last spot before I bought them like that Polaroid Land camera
Address of the thrift stores you visited? May visit the place(s) someday. Thanks!
With the new lens on, I see black lines like old tvs
I’m 15seconds in and my man… Yeezys with the Nike socks?!?
Yeeees a thrifting videooo ❤️❤️❤️
wish we had shops like that in the UK xD
What Sony camera was that i really like it
I wish there were more thrift stores in my city
Ok I’m going to make all you guys sick. About two years ago I went garage sailing with a friend of mine, pulled up to a garage sale and I have never seen that many cars at one, people were everywhere. It seems as though the person had purchased a pallet full of electronic crap and I do mean crap. I did find a couple of things to buy since she had so much stuff I thought I could help her out. I lifted up some clothes and they’re laid a lens it was a Canon 24 to 70 2.8 L ll. I ask her if it worked and she said she don’t know. So I told her I would take a chance on it. I ask her how much it and what I had in my hand. Ready for this $3.00 I kid you not. It only had the back cap and the front lens had fingerprints all over it but it was in mint condition it was perfect. I have been a canon shooter for years that lens right now brand new is $1899.00 B&H. I still have it.
I also have the Minolta Freedom. Were you able to get it working? How did you like it?
what bay area shops do you find these things lol
That 17mm i see banding....24 didn’t see it or didn’t notice it man
bring it back... this was THE JVPES I knew. idk bout yall
What’s up with the moving line on the new lens?
Hell yeah! Love the thrifting vlogs!
i have one of those 440pzs! they're good little cameras! i got mine for 5 bucks tho heh
Looking SHARP my dude
Damn bro ur looking healthy 🙌🏼
Aye bruh them 700’s are CLEAAANNNNNNNN
I went to that location a few weeks back and didn’t find anything for me. I did see that purple monkey camera though lol. You’re always scoring some nice things! One day one day. 🙈
What store is this?!
Ugh figures my thrift stores never have anything good. 😫
my mom loves raiding that place for things to send to the philippines.
Footage Banding earlier in the video
lucky guy)
Your getting scan line effect on your video indoors
Oh man, I paid $249 for that Rokinon!
Im first vooohoo.
Yoo-hoo!
Can't believe stores in the US still use so much plastic bags. It's ridiculous. Nice finds though!
I would prefer Sigma than Tamron as their Auto Focus is more reliable than Tamron
That’s crazy! I paid £249 for that lens! 2 years ago but it’s still my go to when I want a 35mm for street. I wonder why they don’t search ebay for camera stuff when they price the items 🤔
Thats a brutally good deal. Fuckkk
Iced Americano has always been one of my favorite Starbucks drinks. Adding my own cream saves like 30% of the cost of an Iced Latte.
Man I will cash app you if you can find me a bad ass point and shot. My thrift stores are very limited
stop buying all the camera gear causing prices to go up
