Tpu tips You can change it feel by changing your print settings. Want a stiff heal, make it solid. So in your slicer use a modifier on the heal and change the infill percent to 100, 97 is what I use for solid. If your getting fancy you can cut your model up into different section and use those in an assembly to change sections of the print. So solid heal and 45% sole but 15% on side and top for flex. Also tpu in my experience bonds well with PLA so with your muti nozzles you can have a ridged structure built into your print kinda the same as before, cutting up the model but instead of changing print setting your changed materials.
I'm glad you made a big deal about getting fed up with it all when it wasn't working. Showing my daughter that failing is an essential part of the process is starting to make sense to her. And she holds you in such high esteem that I reckon she thinks you never make mistakes!
I was quite confused to see integza share this video but after seeing the struggle and how you achieved this, was fun and impressive. Well done Barbie!
Oh my word, this was a fantastic journey! Glad you achieved your dream in the end. Was a bit worried the rod might poke into your heal but you prevented that with Araldite. My favourite bit…brushing Barbie’s hair with a wire brush! 🤣
Excellent work. I was thinking for the metal rods, you could model in a hollow space, then put a pause in the print to allow you to insert a metal rod. You could even heat the rod up in the oven before so it melts the filament as it goes in and hopefully bonds together. Then continue the print to cover it up. Maybe even make it tee shaped so there is something for your heel to press on.
Great job Barbie! 😎 Those are some impressive heels! If 3D printed shoes were to become a thing, there should be premade steel rods with a platform at the right angle, so you don't accidentally impale your foot
That's so silly and impractic... wait, I might finally be able to make shoes that actually fit correctly? Hmm... 🤔 Amazing problem solving as always! Your final look is absolutely fabulous, but then I thought about getting those sleeves anywhere near machinery and winced
TIG rods? That means you've got hot pink shoes...both as in colour and radioactivity! (And no, not radioactive enough to worry about unless you grind the heels down and snort the powder...)
At 12:23, that looked like TIG filler rod, which is just low alloy steel with a copper coating for corrosion resistance. You might have been thinking of thoriated tungsten, which is mildly radioactive and was used for TIG welding electrodes, but has become much less common over time.
Holy cow, I'm embarrassed to realize you have a second channel (not in the traditional RUclips "second channel" way, but in an enumeration way) and I am binging it with joy
Check ur protection against toxic invisible gases cuz when pla (or other poly materials) are melted this will cause long terms lungs problems, skin irritation also mouth dryness and etc… 😢

Yay! So glad they turned out in the end! They look way better than any other 3D printed shoe attempts I’ve seen too! Well done!
Thank you ☺️
So are we going to Kennify Matt next?

I didn't know 3d printing was so finicky. Everyone makes it out to be so simple. New subscriber here after the ukulele video.
Exactly the same. I asked Xyla if this was Famous Amos.
I've never been as committed to anything as you were to saving that print job 😂 Well done!
MUST. HAVE. BARBIE. SHOES…
Absolutely delightful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this, this is a super cute project and made me smile! I came here from your article on Instructables!
they came out so so cute!!! the final shots where you were wearing them were PERFECT!!
I felt like a real Barbie- inner seven year old me was loving it! ♥️
awesome job Ruth!! they turned out so good!
The tiny ones next to the big ones is such a great shot
Never thought I'd see you dressed as Barbie, Ruth! Excellent project and an excellent inspiration to more young women to become engineers.
I was quite confused to see integza share this video but after seeing the struggle and how you achieved this, was fun and impressive. Well done Barbie!
Thank you Joel knows the engineering struggle, whether it’s rocket engines or Barbie heels 😂
James Bruton brought me here
Next week: Ruth makes Crocs. 😄
😂😂😂 I think they might have been simpler
@@Ruth_AmosAnd probably much less legal hassle as Unnecessary Inventions' Matty Benedetto had found out.
Next up, big red boots 😂
Not only was that a great success, but what an excellent video as well! Great work!

I'd be so scared of impaling my feet with that metal rod in the heel, but I'm glad it worked out.
Wow... TPU is sure a pain to print. Nice ending! lol
Barbie's Dream Workshop ?
Awesome final product!
The Taz Pro to the rescue!
Combing the dolls hair with a wire brush 😂😂😂
Next week Ruth will make a robot that shoots fire
Just because you can doesn't mean you should 😂. Love the determination to keep going though good work.
Xyla sent me.
Subscribed.
👍♥️
Brilliant, just brilliant !
Holy crap that looked like a journey, but the end product looked fantastic.
Great job Barbie! 😎

1:31 Love the cat judgement 😹
Great job, i was wondering how you were going to fix the heel problem.
Great video
That thumbnail is appealing to a certain demographic of the Internet. 🤫
❤❤ nice!
barbie montage was so hilarious lmaooo
I wasn't sure about this but better than I expected lol x
Could you print the heel (or the entire sole) separately in a harder filament? Print it hollow, add a rod then epoxy to the shoe?
So cool!

@@zyblex thank you ☺️ and yeah that dress is pretty flammable too 😂

@@Barely_Creative Yeah, thinking of thoriated stuff...but "hot pink" is too good to let slide ;)
@@TheGeoffableThere was also that whole Barbenheimer thing going on back then
Tall tpu prints do a lot better on a core xy instead of a bedslinger.
Just wondering why not print just 1 shoe at time? Dome girl thing to have pair at same time?
A dual filament printer would be useful here right? TPU on one reel and Nylon in the other?
Wait, multi-filament just got to the soluble support bit.
Holy cow, I'm embarrassed to realize you have a second channel (not in the traditional RUclips "second channel" way, but in an enumeration way) and I am binging it with joy
Could you print heel and sole in PLA, then the body in TPU, or would they not join properly?
Why you dont use 2 Party and glue them together? The first one out of pla und the second upper part out of Tpu.
2:22 okay I got weird taste but these honestly look kind of sick
They are super easy to make 😂
Came for the feet, stayed for the brilliance! 🍻
Nice
Boneless Heels 😂

Hi. Im nuclear sciencist. Please chech your lungs at local hospital on MRI. Be safe. Please use respirators and glass protection always.
Everyone here on @Integza recommendation?
