We traded in our snowblower and winter boots for shorts and flip-flops! 🏖️🩴
We are 2 Canadians that sold everything and moved to Mexico on October 14th, 2021
We packed up 3 suitcases each with our then 12-year-old Maltese & hopped on a plane for Cancun. ✈️🏖️🩴
In this fun authentic vlog, you can join me and Oscar on this epic bike journey through the towns of Haultuco and into the jungle as we make our way to a very secluded beach, Playa Cacaluta.
Today I have booked a tour with my dear friend Oscar, who runs a bike rental/tour shop in the heart of La Crucecita; he also has a little coffee/sandwich shop. He has his own special blend of cold cappuccino that is amazing; he also offers fresh juice and his personal style crepes filled with fresh fruit.
Now back to our journey to the beach, we make our way into the forest, where we pass by a prayer alter. (we do not stop here though.) You will stop here if you book the tour. I got the friend fast tour. haha We got lucky and saw an anteater on our journey along with many species of birds.
We passed by a few farms where we stopped for a minute, and Oscar gave me some information about what they were growing. When you arrive at the beach, you can take your time, have a swim and walk around the beach, and take a break before heading back. Now going back, we did take a different way for a little bit as we rode closer to the farms to have a better look.

OKAY... How did you find Oscar? He is a wealth of local knowledge and coffee beans. Just wow! So, have you tried any of the coffee beans yet? When you told how you buy coffee beans in Canada because fresh grind is SO much better, I couldn't agree more! When I was still working at my job and obviously making more money, I purchased my coffee beans from a wonderful Coffee farm in HAWAII... expensive but every drop was amazing! Since moving to Mexico, I found a local coffee bean roaster and have been able to buy some great beans here for a fraction of the cost of the Hawaiian beans... I would say they are very comparable! Thanks for another great RIDE!! :)

      Holaaa amiga 👋🏽👋🏽
I found Oscar on Facebook as I was looking for bike rentals for my friend Chris. Then I saw he also did bike tours.
He is a licensed tour guide.
A great guy that we now call our friend. ❤️🙏🏽👍🏽
We found coffee beans at our local tienda for $100 pesos for a half kilo. (Oaxaca coffee beans)
Thanks for watching and supporting us here. 💕✌🏼
