About 1 hour west of Huatulco is a town called Pochutla, which hosts an incredible market every single Monday of the year.
Farmers come from all over the area to sell their produce which they have grown with hard work and a lot of pride. There are also many shop keepers who share their own goods and products.
This is a place to experience the sights, smells & culture of authentic Mexico!
For sale, you will find: fruit and veggies that are in season; spices of all kinds; baked goods such as sweet breads and tortillas; fresh caught and dried fish, chicken, pork, beef and many prepared meat products; cheeses; whole or ground locally grown coffee; pottery; wicker products; textile items and so much more...
As you will see, you'll immerse yourself in, and practice your Spanish while meeting vendors who proudly showcase and sell their products.
Come check out this hidden gem that also boasts awesome craftsmanship from the region, with unique local products.
But, don't be fooled, there are no 'touristy' souvenirs in sight here!
