    I dig it man, its so close to my build i am doing right now. Quick question about your chop button, is it just a increase/decrease in target idle RPM? i noticed when i set my idle to about 700rpm my cammed truck has a good chop, when i raise to 900 it levels out. wondering if its the same for you. Slick setup dude, no one knows how much work goes into these builds, its nutty. much love and respect brother!

      I’m the one that tuned this truck and I basically made a timing modifier to change timing based on over under of target idle

    I like it man👌🏼 Almost went that route with my 95 Sierra SLE rcsb before I ran across my 496ci dissembled short block. Check out my video to see what’ll happen to that 10 bolt with enough hook/torque 😬
    Any idea what it runs in the 1/8th yet? I built mine to ProCharge it so it’s less than 9:1 compression BUT ran out of ProCharger money along the way…so it’s about to get a healthy shot of nitrous progressively. Mine weighs 4360lbs with me in it (still complete, including AC) and has been a 7.43 on motor in the 1/8th although I’ve broken/pieced back together the 10 bolt 5 times now 🤣 Coming together with a 35 spline 12 bolt now🤘🏼

      Dang, your comment got held for review and I'm just now seeing it (I'm very new to the RUclipss). No, I haven't ran it at a track yet, we have a local airport race that is put on by fsi racing that I'd like to test at. I do have a dragy, so I could do it that way. Mine weighed 3600 without me in it. So roughly 3800 with me in it. I haven't had any issues with the 10 bolt, yet. I have exploded a 7.5 10 bolt in my trans am, but haven't had much issues with the 8.5.

      It made 780 wheel on 120 lb/hr injectors on ethanol at 100% duty. It now has 210's in it but haven't gotten it back to the dyno yet.

    When you said you had to modify the hooker crossover, did you just need to lengthen the straight portion to line up with the log on the passenger side?
    I'm gathering parts for my turbo ls swap, stock bottom end 5.3 for my crew cab obs dually with the nv4500 transmission.
    I have my afr heads and cam about to be installed, and my next step is a turbo kit. Id like to be budget friendly on the turbo kit since i splurged on a standalone ecu and aftermarket heads lol.
    Reusing my old manifold and modifying a crossover is a lot cheaper than the 3k hot side kit that doesn't include a turbo. Lol.

    • @LutesGarage
      @LutesGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, it needed lengthened in the middle under the transmission, then I had to make an angled section at the log manifold to get it to match the log I used.

      @@LutesGarage thanks for the reply,
      Does it look like you have enough room for a full system? I don't think I saw, from when I watched last week

    • @LutesGarage
      @LutesGarage  6 месяцев назад

      On my setup, not really. It would be difficult to sneak a downpipe past everything on the passenger side, if I were to try it, I would have to relocate the majority of my wiring, I ran it through the factory grommet there on the passenger firewall. It's pretty tight on the passenger side.

    Maybe I missed it in the video. What fuel pump / fuel pump solution are you running? I noticed the tank is new. Are you running singles or duals in tank, or something else? Thanks.

    • @LutesGarage
      @LutesGarage  10 месяцев назад

      It's dual 525 hellcat pumps on the stock hanger. I had to modify the hanger to get them both on it, and it was definitely a chore to get them both in the tank. I used the later tank so I could use the right injection sender for it. Then used the racetronix dual pump kit, the second pump comes on under boost.

    • @chrisschledt
      @chrisschledt 10 месяцев назад

      @@LutesGarage Gotcha. I have a '93 with tiny opening and just figured out today that some '97's and all '98's had larger sender openings. I wanted to go to parts house and compare a '98 OBS sender and an early NBS sender (early NBS is smaller than later NBS) to see if the diameters were similiar. If so, my idea was to just grab a dual 450 assembly from Huron and drop it in a late model OBS tank. But either way it sounds like I need to just get a newer tank to start with. No big deal though since its only like $120 for a whole ass gas tank.

    • @LutesGarage
      @LutesGarage  10 месяцев назад

      Yup, that's what I did, I'm pretty sure I ordered that tank for a 98, I think it came with the sender if I remember right, but I just modified that sender to take both pumps. When I put this truck together, there wasn't very much for performance parts, that all came about right when I finished it, of course.

      @@LutesGarage Right! Thanks for the help. I'm in the early stages of planning mine. I'm helping a buddy finish his S480/6.2/T56 NBS Silverado and he gave me a TBSS intake, a new TB and a spare S480 for my truck - just gotta piece together the rest now.

      @LutesGarage  10 месяцев назад

      I used a tbss intake on the 6.0 I have in my Caprice wagon. I do have a spare 78/75 and I thought about doing a cheap turbo setup on the wagon, but it's just more of a family cruiser for now. There is a short video up of that car, I did that swap basically as cheaply as I could.
