I will always cherish Akame Ga Kill as the anime that brought me back to anime, in the end it left me a mess and depressed, but i loved every single minute of it, thanks to it i came back to watching anime on regular basis.

I still find it crazy how this series was the inspiration of Jujutsu Kaisen despite that series being way more similar to stuff like Naruto and Bleach.
Though it didnt follow the mana, the show is just as good on it's own. It still stands as one of my favorite shows because it never pulled a punch even once. It was exactly the story it was made to tell, your feelings be damned.

God it’s really been 10 years since I discovered this anime because of Adult Swim/Toonami. This series didn’t pull back any punches because I was destroyed by the end. I should thank the series for making me realize my love for dark hair red eyes sword wielding women.
