Don’t forget to put the plastic isolators on the brackets when measuring, they stop metal to metal creeping and they are part of the radiator assembly.
The spirit level on the rad shows the valve location Loosely in my opinion you would usually measure the distance from the bracket to the bottom of the rad and then subtract the say 15to 20mm to where the valve comes out the side but not all spirit levels are the same thickness Does that make sense 😂
@@andyparky2716 - I don't think he's using the spirit level for its thickness but just for a straight edge across the valves, to then measure the valve to the bracket distance.
How about screw the connections on but not too tight with the rad flat and brackets on the rad lift up against the wall and use a pen to score the top and sides of the bracket. Lower the rad fix the brackets, undo the rad, hang it and then connect up.
Yeah if you're on day rate and the boss is a melt. This is by far the best way to swap rads especially if the tails have a bit of play. even if they don't still much faster than your suggestion
Measurement from bottom of bracket to centre of where valve goes into rad was 60mm, measure from floor to centre of valve was 90mm making 150mm then measure from floor up for where you want the bottom of bracket.
So the tip is measure to see where the brackets need to go, revolutionary🤔

Thanks mate. I normally just take off 25mm
Great tip mate well done 😊♥️👍🏼
Great tip
Love the metric!
Watched it 10 times still don’t get it

@@bradburyrobinson so why is it again the wall ? I know what you saying mate but I don't think the video is clear at all
@@andyparky2716 - Looks to me like it's just propping the spirit level up against some cupboard, to keep it straight across the valves.
@@bradburyrobinson I rewatched it he does say center of the valves 😂 what an idiot I am lol I go now
Hate radiators being hung this low beneath the skirting, looks awful aswell imo I'd of rather extended pipes
Yep I don’t know why people do it. Especially when the manufacturers recommend 200-300mm from floor height efficiency
Absolutely. Clear of the skirting board is just so much cleaner.
Extend the tails boy.
I always try to finish the bottom of the rad at the same height as the skirt.
What do I know ?
I've only been it for 39 years.
Good job buddy
thax very much i wish i could be ur trainee thanks
Genius idea

This way easier if it’s a big rad 👍

spirit levels are different thicknesses, just measure from the floor and take off 25mm off. be sure to check/ measure both valves
Hello there. Are you from around the black country area?
I am yeah 👍
Those are cute little valves😂😂😂
And you find out both valves are different heights
Can we get subtitles so that english speakers can understand? 😂
Need to translate from yam yam to English 😂
What’s the purpose of the spirit level maaaattee?
Do hhwhat neer??
Or even easier just hang the radiator so that the bottom of the radiatior is inline with the bottom of the nut on the pipe 👍🏻
yeah we don’t do this here in the USA 🇺🇸
All u need to do come an inch down from the center of rad valve n that's your height for your rad bracket
Top tip get a plumber cause I ain't got a clue what he's on about 😊
Top shit
I heard Wolverhampton then
150 from button of bracket?

@@bluebulldog_uk I always struggled working around this type installation but now it's clear. Many thanks mate 🙏
@@rizayusefi1165 no problem 👍 if you normally measure to top of bracket will work the same
More rocket science 😂
Whats point
Can't see properly what your,saying😢
Spirit what ...? F c k rail... Why not Just legal ?
I think enough people in the trade know how to use a tape, seems you don’t thou😂
