Always found interesting that a House/Independent ending is actually better is actually better for the NCR as a whole since the imperialist agenda of the politicians and the barons is the thing making things worst back in their territory, to lose the Dam and New Vegas to a third party that isn't openly hostile to the republic puts the politicians and their agenda on a halt and completely demoralizes them for a time. As always, we can't really say that just removes the threat, especially if we take real world inspiration about failed ventures (such as how the Vietnam War was a public fiasco, however, fast fowards a few decades and you've got the US invading Afghanistan on not very different pretenses over "national security").

I think you mean Iraq since Afghanistan was pretty much a response to 9/11 but yeah

@@victorc8855 I believe Afghanistan provides a more clear cut example of shit show, to be honest (expel Taliban from every major city in the country, the entire nation falls the very next day of the end of the US occupation), however Iraq is another good example of very poor results that only made situation worst (basically, chemical weapons have fallen in the hands of terrorists since the fall of Sadam since the invasion started long before the removal of the WMDs were complete and stockpiles from the country end up in the hand of ISIS).
