Adam your absolutely right about Samsung ppl not wanting to try Apple & vice versa, for whatever reason, apple users are really starting to be into Google Pixel phones, even wanting to carry 2 phones now because of pixel phones, it's funny.
I'm happy for RCS on the iPhone because my wife has an iPhone, and I just can't seem to get into it. Nothing against their software or hardware, but I just think the Pixel is superior. The Pixel is smoother; I don't like how slow the animations are on the iPhone. Also, the key press volume on the iPhone will randomly get ridiculously loud then quiet. Very weird.
My Pixel 9 Pro XL has been overheating and throttling from simple multi-tasking. I've initiated an exchange. Hoping it's just a lemon. If the new unit overheats as well I'll probably grab a Galaxy S25 when it comes out.

Thanks for this great review! I don't know if it's too much to ask... But could you do a full review of the new BLU BOLD K50 that came out a few weeks ago?
The era of android phones that used the micro usb, there were phones with small and large form factors have the same specs but with a small capacity battery and low amount of storage compared to how it is now. For example, the htc one m7 and htc one max both used the same snap dragon 600 processor. The snapdragon 600 processor was considered a flagship processor during that era before the snapdragon 700 series and snapdragon 800 series became a thing when newer phones came out. The htc one m7 was my second htc phone since my first htc phone was on sprint called the htc evo 4g lte. On sprint I would do multiple upgrades and trade the phones back to sprint with a different variety of android phones before the return policy expired. I would try out the iPhone 4s for a week to see what the hype was about the iPhone. I did not like the iPhone since it felt so over hyped and it did not achieve what I wanted to do on my phone due to the restrictions of ios. Basically I would try the htc evo 4g lte than trade in the htc phone for the iPhone 4s than trade in the iPhone 4s, for the samsung galaxy s3 and than finally trade in the samsung galaxy s3 for the samsung galaxy note 2. I wanted a bigger android phone and the galaxy note 2 was my final decision that I made when I stopped at least for another year. I would upgrade to the galaxy note 3 and than the galathanote 4. Ever since I started using the galaxy note 2, I can't go back to using a smaller phone since I'm already used to it. Upgrading from a smaller phone is like upgrading from a smaller 4k tv to a larger 4k tv due to more screen real estate. The galaxy note 9 was my last galaxy note phone. I ended up buying phones from htc, lg, motorola, blu, huawei, zte, xiaomi, one plus, the nexus line, the pixel line and finally sony. My last samsung phone with the headphone jack was the verizon version of the samsung galaxy s10 5g version because I wanted a 5g phone with a headphone jack. My official last samsung phone was the galaxy fold 4 since the phone was got a black line in the middle of the display when I dropped the z fold 4 on the ground when I was using the inner display when the phone was opened and the phone slipped out of my hands. The inner phone stopped working but the outer display still works. I ended up upgrading to the one plus nord n30 5g because I still wanted a 5g phone with micro sd card slot, dual physical sim card support and a headphone jack. I missed having a headphone jack since I use it all the time so that's why I replaced the z fold 4 for one plus mid range phone.

i think eventually Samsung will release a compact 'Ultra' level phone(if that comes in conjunction with the Plus line or at the expense of the Plus line remains to be seen), but theyre probably waiting to see how much of a market there even is for these phones because they've tried it twice before (with S10e and the Note 10 and even the Note 10 lite) and all those phones underperformed.

As much as I don’t care for Google, I do hope they can gather some steam with this phone. I've always used Android since HTC Wildfire, had Huawei, Xiaomi and Nokia phones but Pixel is the best phone I've used, first the 6a, it's battery wasn't that good,it overheated quite often too, now I'm very happy with my Pixel 8,much better charging speed, the camera is exceptional and everything runs smoothly.
Great video as usual. I especially like your Pixel coverage. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
Adam your absolutely right about Samsung ppl not wanting to try Apple & vice versa, for whatever reason, apple users are really starting to be into Google Pixel phones, even wanting to carry 2 phones now because of pixel phones, it's funny.
It’s definitely precarious
Thanks for your thoughts🙏🏽
Will you release an updated Pixel 9 Review?
Yeah. Tomorrow or Tuesday.
@@TechOdyssey you're amazing and thanks for your entertaining content💪🏽
@@reyorbci3398 sure thing. You're very welcome!
Good thing you're exchanging it. That shouldn't be happening at all
You're my new favorite RUclipsr, and frankly an inspiration. I hope you're having the greatest time of your life right now because man do you deserve it! Cheers :] 🥂
Wow, thank you! I appreciate the support. Take care. 🙏🏻
Likewise! Thanks for your service as well, Sir. 🫡 That alone makes you a role model and hero of this country, PLUS your successful RUclips channel whom I can only assume you built from scratch from the ground up, ultimately not to mention - what appears from the outside looking in - the 'American dream' in the 'family/dog/white picket fence' stimulus package (lol). All this to say that if I get to your age (that alone is an achievement nowadays, shoot xD) and have achieved but just half of what you have whilst simultaneously undergoing a similar fraction of what you had to go through to get to where you're at today, I'm telling you, WOW, I'd be so flippin' happy and proud of myself!
A diamond in the rough indeed, and again, I thank you for your service and overall influence, Sir. 🫡 It's safe to say this world would be a much easier going and healthy place if we had more people like you in charge. :] 🇺🇸
Just got my P9P, coming from iPhone but used to MagSafe for cases, car charging- magnets are convenient? Your thoughts / suggestions with the P9P on magnets?
Sadly I don't have any experience or recommendations. I never use magsafe with any phone
@@TechOdyssey what works best for your car attachments/ case? thank you
I recommend looking into Magbak cases, their cases are comfortable to hold and the magnets are strong.
Torras cases have good MagSafe cases magnets are pretty strong
Have you seen some of the teardown videos?
I guess battery removal is very difficult.
I have not but it doesn’t surprise me
I enjoy your videos, but you really need to talk about the software because Google is knocking it out of the park
The software is fine and nothing is new and it’s been thoroughly tested. We can talk about Android 15 when it’s available in a few weeks.
@@TechOdyssey Understood. In comparison to buggy/laggy iOS Android 14 is sooo buttery smooth. It’s just great how far Android has come it’s like they flipped the script. Just my opinion though.
Can’t wait for Android 15 ✌️
Do you think they’ll sell enough to keep making the smaller pro?
If u ask me the pro is basically the biggest reason to buy a pro XL, to me it makes no sense to pay more and get a smaller phone, I hope we get a bigger phone for the regular Pixel 9. I'm the one who loves bigger phones but end up getting the smaller one coz of the price I have to pay for the bigger one
I wasn't going to upgrade but my carrier was offering an amazing deal 256 gig.storage cheaper than the 128 gig and an amazing trade in too
How does it compare to the Xperia 1 vi?
i think eventually Samsung will release a compact 'Ultra' level phone(if that comes in conjunction with the Plus line or at the expense of the Plus line remains to be seen), but theyre probably waiting to see how much of a market there even is for these phones because they've tried it twice before (with S10e and the Note 10 and even the Note 10 lite) and all those phones underperformed.
Hopefully so.
Hey! Great video. I have the Rose Quartz Pixel 9 Pro and usually don't rock a case. But have been considering protecting it since I'll be using this phone for the next 3 years, but I'm struggling finding a case that compliments the rose quartz color. Curious about your thoughts! Thanks again.
The only case that will show the true color is the one that Google sells in that exact color or a clear case.
@@charlesdale1428 I was thinking of the Peony case with the rose quartz. Or a clear case. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@erikfry5887 No problem 👍🏻💪🏻💯.
Great analysis, thank you! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Have you seen that the videos are better between apple and android?
They’re definitely more competitive than ever.
Is there a way to change back to the old pixel weather app anything before the pixel 9? This weather app is not good. I prefer the Google weather app from my pixel 6. Now I have a pixel 9 pro.
I like the new pixel weather app. Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to your question. I’m sorry.
@@TechOdyssey Okay no problem! I suppose I will like you once I get used to it, I'm just used to the old one where you can scroll down for the 10 days instead of left and right and it also showed the dates for the 10 days out. But all is okay. Thanks for all your awesome videos. I got the pixel 9 pro about 6 days ago!
Back in galaxy s6 days there are just too much bloatware in Samsung it’s just hard to ignore them that’s scare whole lot of people to even try Samsung again from iOS
Because PIXEL is the iPhone of the android world just better
There's only one iPhone and that's iPhone. Why settle for the iPhone of Android when you can get an original iPhone?
Think once I pay off my iPhone 13 Pro Max(which I will still keep), I’m going to get the Pixel 9 Pro. No XL, even though I consume all my media through my phone.
Cant someone test if its UFS 3.1 or 4.0 in the pixels?????
Nice thoughts again Adam. Thx and greetz from Holland.
I don’t know how. I’m sure there is some way but it may be beyond my expertise. And greetings! 👋
@@TechOdyssey Beyond my expertise too:) but some technerd should be able to... I understand 4.0 is almost twice as fast as 3.1? Anyway we will hear one day. Keep posting Adam, you're the best✌️
@@andredegelder7383 thanks a lot. I appreciate the support 🙏🏻
I like my p9 pro but the thermals seem to overheat on occasion, compared to my p9 fold. I think the bigger size allows more heat dissipation
With RCS support, can you still send messages, strictly off of WiFi, like iMessage, & if so, will msgs still send to iPhones, via WiFi ? Pls & thanks in advance.
I have the 8 pro is there a big difference?
This phone has overheating issues?
The previous zenfone series were the last in that series before now...
Not pro level though
@@TechOdyssey yep... The zenfone never had a pro... But they were competing on just base flagship levels...
The Note 10 marked the downfall of Samsung imo cause they used to only make one Note which was supposed to be the true flagship, plus they removed headphone jack
Definitely some consequential decisions made with the Note 10 series
Adoro il mio p9p ,altro che iPhone ,molto meglio p9p ,ti seguo dall’Italia e penso che tu sia un bravo recensore che dice veramente le cose come stanno .bravo continua così
In other news Android beta 15 has a tablet like interface including a tasbar if you change the dp to around 622
Works great when you mirror your screen
Cool
I don’t understand why so many people bash Samsung? Sure their cameras are saturated but does anyone know why?
Basketball hands 😭😭😭😭😭😭
A comparison with the Sony 1 VI would be great. Thank you
Asus ZenPhone but who got one of those. i was interested but they didn't work on verizon
I had one. Not a flagship though
Pixel 9 pro vs iPhone 16? Which is better this year
16? Or 16 Pro?
@@TechOdyssey 16 pro

Trakin tech English's white version is you or he is your black version
Huh?
@@TechOdyssey search Trakin tech English, you will get it.
I don’t even use a phone anymore. I like using my tablet with data and just text with it. Lol
I'm confused, what is the video about ?
Maybe if you listened you would find the answer
I am a big fan.
Pixel 9 pro is not the missing link, it is the missing phone. Ordered mine 4th of september and still nothing 😢
Edit: Nothing phone
Is janky the new gnarly? Jeez I can't keep up with these words.
I'm not the expert on such things
As much as I don’t care for Google, I do hope they can gather some steam with this phone. Pixel has such a small market share in the US that I fear it’s not worth it for them to chug along with a 3% market share. No one needs a world that only has phones made by Apple and Samsung. I sure won’t buy a Pixel phone but I hope others will for the sake of the market. LG dropped out with a much larger market share than Google has.
But. Is it better than the S24 ultra?
I think it offers an equally enjoyable and competitive flagship experience.
@@TechOdyssey . Possibly something to consider next time I buy a new phone?
Can someone tell me what advantages the pixel 9 pro has over the base s24?
More ram, better screen, better WiFi
@@segunthepikachufan1470 s24 has a better chip and faster storage while being 200$ cheaper. Thanks for the response.
@@ChadH2023 you might want to get the base S25 since they will be improving on everything I mentioned
Looking forward to oct
Nice video
Thanks
Do you get good wifi with that shining forehead? Lol'😅
Yes.
Nah gotta respectfully disagree -- OnePlus phone and their ecosystem would be the go-to phone that an iPhone user would feel most at home with.
Why?
@@TechOdyssey well take one look at the main settings page, it's structured almost identical to iOS main settings page. Look at how it gives you the opportunity to proportion and size the icons exactly like iOS. Not to mention that there's literally zero third party or forced apps on you like there is on Samsung such as the Samsung store or whatever it's called, the Samsung browser, and the other Samsung applications that are Samsung centric. OnePlus doesn't have any of that, in a sense it's even more pure than a Google Android phone, I would argue. There are many other examples I just unfortunately can't think off the top of my head of them at this moment, I'll come back to this comment in time and give you more reasons why I feel this way
Google maked android, thats why other companys rolled out android 15 for there phones but Pixel User dont get it...thats the deal..
What are you even talking about?
I’ll take the iPhone 16 pro max over this

Over priced and Over rated , in my opinion, can't beat Android phones.
What android phone do you use?
@@TechOdyssey a one plus 8 pro and a S24 ultra
Plus a S9 ultra tab.
People go to apple after having budget androids. Apple iPhone are so much "smoother". The ipone feels faster and smoother etc.
Dont buy an budget Android if you want to compare it to Iphone. You will be surprised , and you still keep money in your pocket.
