    It now has adjustment up and down on the tire carrier.

      Yup! I will say that although I thought it was mounted too high, it was needed in Moab; videos coming soon...

    Grade 8 bolts always

      I had the exact same thought when I installed the bumper, and fully expected to replace broken bolts at some point. After years of off road abuse I have been very impressed that none of the bolts have broken.

    How’s the bumper holding up? Thinking of getting it

      Unfortunately, the bumper has started to show a little bit of rust under some peeling paint (I blame Ohio for that more than EAG). To it's credit it is still structurally solid even after beating it on rocks in Moab. I would purchase it!

    Is it possible to leave the trailer hitch on with the new EAG bumper? Since the eag Bumper is not tow rated...

    • @MotorMaintenance
      @MotorMaintenance  4 года назад +1

      That is a good question, I wish i still had my old trailer hitch to give you a solid answer. I think it will not work, the trailer hitch would need to share a bolt hole with the eag bumper which would put the trailer hitch too low to align with the holes on the frame (I think). I did do some light towing with this bumper and it was ok ( see that in the review video: ruclips.net/video/X2TES9KacJo/видео.html )
      Thank you for watching and commenting , Great Question!

      @@MotorMaintenance thanks I will check that video out. I do tow a kayak trailer and a small utility trailer on occasion. So I was curious. I'm planning on buying this bumper for my TJ. And i will do the installation on my channel. Thanks for the feedback!

      @@jones_edition Kayak shouldn't be a problem but the utility trailer ehhh guess it depends on weight? Best of luck to you!

    Are you interested in selling the old bumpers if you still have them?

    • @MotorMaintenance

      I actually sold them to a guy building a Jurassic Park look-alike! Sorry, thank you for asking!

    Cheap?! Its $410!

    • @MotorMaintenance
      @MotorMaintenance  3 года назад

      The price seems to be on the rise, I bought mine for 3 hundred-something, but it is still cheaper than bumpers of any other brand. The Rough Country is $100 more for the same bumper! www.quadratec.com/p/rough-country/classic-full-width-rear-bumper-tire-carrier-jeep-wrangler-yj-tj-10592a
