  • No one knows exactly what causes the range of post COVID-19 infection symptoms, often called long covid. In Singapore, 1 in 10 recovered COVID-19 patients has had persistent symptoms six months after their initial infection. But as the virus mutates and becomes more widespread in recent months, it seems some lingering symptoms are changing as well.
Talking Point speaks to a panel of experts to find out what are some long covid symptoms you should watch out for, when you should seek medical help, and if there is any cause for concern.

I had it back in october and started feeling symptoms in early febuary just after i caught a cold. That was actually my first time getting sick after covid. Now im left with constant shortness of breath, heart racing, weird feelings in my left body part, weird feelings in my chest such as weakness or tingles (i really can’t describe it), fatigue, anxiety and other weird symptoms ive never felt before. I completely lost my happiness. I dont even know if it is some sort of covid related stuff and nobody takes me serious

Same syntoms... And gut issues, reflux, gastritis joint and muscle pain...after 2nd dose of pfizer... Life ruined. Have you got jabs? Most of long covid people had jab before covid...they ruined immune system... By purpose. Doctors know all and they want to hide or deny... That s because they tell you to go to psichologist..

Dr Drew website had Dr McCullough and Malone on there. They have the Spike support supplements to help your deficiencies caused by the virus and the extreme stress. Adrenals need supplements to help you. Get your immune system up! Help is there and it’s not in your mind. Vit B’s, electrolytes are very important not the sweet junk kind. But D3/K2 is very important get tested or take at least 10,000 IU To 20,000 a day a few weeks, then 19,000 daily take with a natural fat like real butter on toast with breakfast or avocado. MCT OIL is coconut oil. The adrenals needs help from all the stress.

I had various symptoms (rapid heartbeat, tingling in feet, insomnia, anxiety, tinnitus, etc) after having COVID in Feb 2021 - for about 7-8 months, then have been much better. So many Dr visits, lab tests and just feeling very poorly during that time that I'm glad to be doing better.

2 years of long covid. Was always very healthy and no problems. Tried so many things. What finally helped; first, antihistamines took the edge off some symptoms. second, intermittent fasting. It took about 2 months but finally better. Still can't exert myself without feeling exhausted but better every day now. Didn't think I could go without breakfast but actually it was/is easy. Now first meal at 1:00pm. I urge you all to try this. Cut my three favorite things; sugar, caffeine and alcohol. They all made me unwell, inflammation.

I am 68 years old. I had three covid shots several months prior to getting covid. I have asthma as well, but my oximeter reading is always 95 to 97. My covid lasted about 14 days which was basically like a cold and flu. I tested positive the first time and positive again a second time 2 weeks later. I thought I was over it but about 4 days after it ended new symptoms appeared. Now I have body chills and headaches with pressure and congestion in my chest with some inflammation as well on and off and I am lightheaded a lot, but I generally am not that tired. I have postnasal drip and I am blowing my nose all day long. I have some soreness in my throat occasionally. It is the headaches and body chills and muscular aches that bother me the most. I wake up most mornings feeling fine and then an hour or so later the symptoms start again. I have doubled my daily doses of vitamin D and alternate between ibuprofen and acetaminophen and I drink water all day long. This is now 9 weeks after first testing positive even though I tested negative 2 weeks ago. It comes and goes. A day or so can pass where I feel almost no symptoms at all but then it reoccurs. My wife who had no shots had covid the same time as I did and has fully recovered with no new symptoms.

I’ve had COVID twice. Once in January of 2020, and once in December of 2021 after being double vaccinated. The second infection was the worst, fever, loss of taste, coughing. Ended up being treated for pneumonia and bronchitis. Started recovering more than a month later. Now, I’m still dealing with serious brain fog, fatigue, shortness of breath to the point where I need to use a steroidal inhaler, balance issues, increased tinnitus, and on and on. When I called my doctor, I never heard back from them, only the nurse practitioner. Almost a year later, I haven’t heard from my doctor and his office is saying “it could be long COVID” and that’s the end of the conversation.

Hello there chocolate82467! First off, I’m so sorry that you have been dealing with long Covid for such a long time. I caught the first strain and have been a long hauler for 2 years now. I was coughing violently for a full year straight and since then it’s affected my throat and voice in general. I suffer with nerve damage in my legs, which started with my arms and they would go numb and I couldn’t hold things for long, but that feeling went to my legs and I suffer with so much pain. Extreme fatigue, digestive issues, bloating, Headaches, vertigo, hearing loss in both ears, body aches, breathing issues, severe brain fog, I even stutter a lot, and so many other issues. I went to doctors when it was at its worse and many tests came back normal which was insane considering how I felt on a daily basis. Lots of doctors told me there was nothing they could do, but they wanted to push drugs on me, but those drugs wouldn’t help with any of my issues, so I know exactly how you feel… There still isn’t enough information for doctors on why this happens and how long it will affect us who get affected.. I want to say good luck to your recovery and to many more that read this and are personally affected by this illness, let’s hope we all recover one day.

@@TamagoBunny3807 I've just been revisiting this video after now also having recovered from Covid-19 about a month ago, which somehow was my first symptomatic infection (I've no reason to suspect I infected someone, but as most of us will never know). I was what many would consider overly vaccinated and cautious, but as I found my pre-Covid self within many testimonies and suspected having been virus damaged earlier (in 2013).
None of my original issues could've been caused by this latest pandemic, but I seemed to have undergone a severe cause of H1N1 swine flu (declared a pandemic of concern in late '09).
My bad news to y'all is: there's no reason to really expect most symptoms to subside by themselves other than maybe the digestive and most severe inflammatory issues. I still have no proof my one-side tinnitus+hearing-loss and brainfog was caused by some virus, but it's always been the most plausible cause for me.
My life was somewhat upheaved, but still joyous as it could be, but let me tell you, would I've started out as a workaholic outgoing individual, those symptoms would've broken me. My deepest condolences to anyone affected, especially since even many doctors still disregard reality or are in denial as they're faced unprepared by their education.

The PCR test was used incorrectly. The creator of the PCR test Carrie Mullis said that his PCR test cannot be used to test for infectious disease.
They use the PCR test to test for infectious disease which created false positives because it was used incorrectly.
With false positives come justification for lockdown. They wanted lockdown because they wanted to destroy the livelihoods of many citizens. They want to destroy people's ability to be self-sufficient. They want the people to rely on the government so the government could give them a universal basic income with many stipulations attached and the income will be a pittance.
Now with lockdown loved ones and family members cannot visit there loved one in Care home. That's covid-19 protocol. It's part of lockdown.
With old people in Care homes that have pre-existing conditions because that's why they're there; when they test positive for covid-19 which many did because the test was testing for infectious disease and the PCR test cannot test for infectious disease as the creator of the PCR test has mentioned multiple times.
With old people getting covid-19 that meant they needed to be put on end of life drugs because covid-19 to someone with a compromised immune system that is old is at high risk of death. Old people were put on midazolam, remdesivir, in combination with morphine while they were put on a ventilator which doctors got bonuses for.
Many old people died because midazolam, remdesivir, in combination with morphine creates a deadly cocktail. It's certain death.
The doctors and registered nurses have been manipulated through the textbooks that they must read and regurgitate in medical school. The medical field is a lie as they prescribe dangerous drugs that cause more problems. Why do you think cancer has risen. Why is autism gone up. Why has miscarriages gone up. People don't intend to hurt people but people hurt people through ignorance. By denying the truth you protect the lies.
Covid-19 was put on the death certificate. Since many old people were dying from covid-19 that gave justification for an emergency vaccine to be rolled out immediately to the masses.
After many people took the vaccine young people started collapsing due to respiratory failure. A side effect of the vaccine is blood clots, myocarditis which is a respiratory illness.
A lot of old people died after receiving the vaccine. Many young people died as well but more old people.
But an unprecedented amount of young people in their twenties and thirties started collapsing. A record number. They were collapsing from a respiratory illness.
Like I said a side effect from the vaccine is myocarditis a respiratory illness. When your blood clots your blood is not moving freely because of the blood clot thus causing less oxygen to reach your vital organs as well as your heart which can cause a heart attack, stroke, seizure.
This evil force wants to eliminate roughly 50% of the population from various means whether it be weather manipulation. Genetically modifying the plants/animals.
Poisoning people's water/food. Poison in the air from low orbit satellites that beam toxic frequencies that destabilize the body such as 5G radiation and other electromagnetic frequencies.
So after destroying most of Earth there will only be 50% of the people left that have survived. From that 50% a lot of people will be injured or weak from the various poisons that they've been subjected to.
When this evil force comes into invade the people of Earth, the people of Earth will be so weak that this evil force will come right in and there won't be any fight. The people will be too weak to fight.

After Delta was still in NMD diagnosis hell, heart rate varied from 48 to 120, was short of breath just sitting and talking, eating was exhausting. Because couldn't get covid test first week of March 2020 MD said it was not covid because I didn't go into respiratory distress, except was using home bipap and 3LPM oxygen to keep POX at 91... that didn't matter. Now 2 yrs of tinnitus, that disappeared for 12 days when had covid in June confirmed by home test on day 10. Shortly after starting to feel better had sudden rush of hopelessness and tinnitus returned, the mood improved in 48 hrs. I got Covid in January. Feb I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. I went to ER with 177 heart rate. ( After going to urgent care for a lingering cough) I got meds to control heart rate and sent to Cardiologist. They added a new med to attempt to put heart rate to normal sinus Rhythm. That failed. So scheduled with Electrophysiologist for next steps. We agreed on ablation. At this point since my ER visit. I have had multiple EKGs, an electrocardiogram, labs and stress test. I go in for ablation and in the procedure the doc lost all electrical signals and I went into cardiac arrest. They got me back and put a temporary emergency pacemaker. Implanted permanent pacemaker next day. It has been a little over a month since surgery and im doing ok. Still tired but much better than this time last month.
My doc said this is definitely long COVID.
While waiting for my procedure. I was just debilitated and exhausted. Slept all day. No energy to really care for myself or housework cooking etc. I went from being full of energy and going places to being homebound. Forget walking the grocery stores or the mall. I had to use motorized carts. It was a sad time for me. I couldn't participate in things most ppl take for granted. It really got to me.
Now just trying to recover so I can get my life back.
I feel for everyone affected by this horrible illness.

I had COVID delta in Sept 2021 and I was bad sick for three weeks. I had a lingering cough for quite some time after recovering but I have had bouts of just not feeling very well including chills, feeling cold but never having a fever. In fact my temp was rather low but not too low. I have have heart palpitations from time to time and chest pains as well as aches and pains in my left shoulder but now it's more spread out over my body. I have been to the emergency room at least 4 times thinking I'm having a heart.attack but nothing shows up on tests. I have even had extensive tests such as stress tests and everything comes back normal. I also have gastrointestinal issues also. I have developed heartburn (GERDS) and a bloating feeling.
I may have pinpointed the cause of that which is pancreatitis which mimics bad heartburn and chest pains that radiate to your back and can last all day or several days depending on the severity. (Fatty foods and heavy alcohol use is a common trigger) I used to be physically fit and strong but now I struggle to make it through the day without hurting to the point of just collapsing when I get home from work from pushing through the pain.

Today is June 19, 2023. My husband had Covid in February 2023, and seemed to recover in 2 weeks. Then 6 weeks later his legs became very extremely painful, and he was feeling weak. He is 84, had 3 Covid shots and 2 boosters. He had seen the Doctor several times. Had been admitted in the ER twice because of very low blood pressure. The severe pain in his legs caused the Doctor to finally actually give him some treatment. He asked the Doctor, "Isn't there something stronger than Tylenol that I could take for the severe leg pain and weakness?" Hallelujah! The Doctor finally prescribed prednisone 20 mg 1 x day. That made a world of difference in the leg weakness and pain. But the Doctor keeps tapering down the dose, until he can see how poorly my husband becomes again. So now he is on 10 mg a day, and the Doctor is anxious to get him off prednisone again. WHY? It has greatly increased his quality of life! He is 84! Why not keep him on it? He's 84! Leave him on the dang prednisone! Nope. Doctor keeps wanting him off prednisone. Such a crock of crap. Yes, prednisone is a risky drug. But he's 84. Leave him on it. Let him enjoy as much quality of life as possible!

It’s been almost 8 months now and I am still feeling the same. I have to deal with vertigo which I never had before. My right side of the neck is pulsating very fast even when I am at rest. Sometimes I also get brain zaps out of nowhere which is common when you take antidepressants however I have never been on antidepressants medications. Covid has made my life hell and I am literally watching dozens of videos and doing my own research to figure what the hell is wrong with my body. So many people around me has got Covid multiple times and recovered in no time. Why am I stuck with these unexplained symptoms?

Family are often less supportive but that is normal. Perhaps some fear from them so do not hold it against them. I have found heat exposure to raise body temperature above 102 once or twice a day helps along with much sleep.

I felt like there was a tremor and tension through my throat-esophagus track. After losing 15 pounds, 3-4 weeks later i got little better and gained my appetite, but then i spit light red blood with stomachache and throatache. I am experiencing a worsening throatache that no ENT professors can detect with camera. I have examined by over 60 professors. Gastroenterologists, ENT Professors, Neurologists etc.. i did blood tests, endoscopies, colonoscopy, CTs, MRs even EMGs. Throat pain is killing me. Loss of appetite, fatigue.. these are also challenging. I have other symptoms but i dont know how can i bare this throat pain. Gabapentine isn't working. Diclofenac isn't working. I believe I have long covid as I had symptoms that wouldn’t go away after I got sick. I had gi symptoms and also shortness of breath / sinus swelling. For me, they did a colonoscopy and said I had ulcerative colitis. While the doctor didn’t find any ulcerations, and just inflammation- mesalamine has gotten that symptom in complete remission clinically. Budesonide helped too. I’ve been hearing about doctors using this med for microscopic colitis, so maybe there’s some hope for you all and that it works for post viral symptoms.
As for the shortness of breath- I’ve done every test (ruled out asthma, allergies, chest x ray, heart, ekg, heart ultrasound, d-dimer, good oxygen, blood pressure and heart rate, sinus Ct scan, tried inhalers.) no answer, and nothing has helped so far. I have hope that something will work eventually. I totally relate to that poor guy :( it’s been nearly 2 years straight of this.

Take that for a couple weeks to get rid of any of the spike protein left by the vaccine/covid, and take Quercetin 500mg and Zinc 25mg with the inflammation, D3 10,000iu and C 5000. You can get the horse paste at the feed store. you will need that as it coats the spike protein and remove the stickness part of the spike. I'm thinking it's the spike protein that is causing all your issue. And please do not get vaccinated. you are intentionally turning your cells into a spike protein making machine.

I had Covid in the end of august. I got Covid pneumonia a week later. It’s week 5! I’m still not feeling good! I’ve been to my dr a lot! Chills, mild fevers, headaches, feeling sooooo tired! Brain fog…I forget a lot of things or I can’t concentrate. I sweat alot! It drips from my face so bad but I am cold well I sweat! Of course I have issues breathing! I’ve been to the er a few times and immediate care a few times! Because I’ve felt so miserable!!!! My ox is ok….but my heart rate does go up. And it’s so frustrating that people just keep telling me “it’s just your body fighting the Covid!” I’m so frustrated and getting depressed!!! I finally went to a different immediate care and the dr told me this is way too long to feel so bad! He said I looked so bad and miserable! my primary care even told me it will take a while. The immediate care dr heard some tightness and bronchitis in my chest. So I’m on strong antibiotics again…. And a long dose of strong steroids. I’m actually feeling a bit better! It’s day 4. The sweating stopped, no more chills, and no body aches. I still get headaches and breathing issues. I am also asthmatic so I do the nebulizer every 4 hours. I also have type 2 diabetes so it’s definitely lingering!!! We will see how this goes! I also have some back aches and neck pain! I’ve been seeing my chiropractor every other day and it’s helping but it’s not gone. I do not have meningitis…my neck isn’t stiff. I can move my neck fine. It’s just sore. This is so frustrating!!!! And it’s frustrating just to get the same answer “it just will take a while…it’s just long Covid….you need to be patient!” Ugh!!! I’ve had Covid twice before and it went away within a week and it was like a sinus infection or cold.

Forgot to mention my white blood count showed my body is still fighting. So it is definitely a process! I just want to get well! My life is literally on hold! I have enough energy to wake my kids up get them ready and off to school. I go back to bed till they get home because I’m soooo tired!!! Then I wake up before they get home. Then I do what I can with the energy I have to help them with homework and take care of them. Thank goodness my husband helps so much! And my older son!

I am lucky that I do not have much shortness of breath but the pain is insane... I have no headaches but some fatigue.. the medical community has been no help and they clearly don't have a clue .. lots of tests all good . . now I am a hot potato .. .. and it has come to this Doctor passes me off to that Doctor. .. I bought a smart watch with the function to constantly watch my SPO2 levels. It is not as accurate as the kind that we fit on a finger, but for my purpose it is accurate enough. Like myself, I suffered really bad from so-called brain fog because, I have vertigo. My body aches and pains because, of my bad back and neck. I'm very tired and shortness of breath because, I was coughing really bad for two months during covid and also, because I have asthma.
I'm a lot better now five and six months since. But, my vertigo sickness seem to be come and go. Unfortunately my bad back and neck stay the same and will getting worse.
