More resistance in the new mouthpiece. The old one has more ring to it with crispier staccato. That being said I would like to hear the new mouthpiece played on a slightly softer reed.
Yay!!! I assume you have already gone through all of the finger fitness etudes? You could also check out the rose studies & etudes, jeanjean and of course the Lazarus that I have here! Have fun!
I did not hear much difference between these mouthpieces but the second one seems to be a hint mellower and feels a bit more resistant. Could be just the reed placement is a bit different.
My goal right now is to practice scales and arpeggios until I can play the little intro bit to your videos, lol. Whatever gets me to practice, I guess.
@@callyclarinet Oh, this is a real exercise! Cool! I’ll practice these, but a lot slower. I’m self-teaching (on purpose) with the help of videos and books, and I’m a beginner.
Thank you very much for the lesson !!! 🎼🎶🎵👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!!

Thanks for the feedback, I have experimented with reeds after sharing this video and have found that slightly softer ones work better with the 2nd one
First MthPiece sounded better and you seemed to have more control on the skips.
Thank you for the feedback!
