Oh, Charles, you are killing me. I am now reminded how much I miss the trips to the cider mill several times each fall. We would drain off enough from the gallon jugs of fresh pressed cider to allow for expansion and freeze a supply to last at least until mid-summer. Fill a crock pot with cider and add your favorite spices, pure heaven. Cider is second only to maple syrup season in the Spring, in my opinion. I really wish Walmart had pushed ahead with opening stores here in the Philippines after the pandemic lockdown BS. Sadly, the big opening never materialized. We will, I am sure, get along without this giant retailer. Maybe we can get a friend back in the States to put a few boxes of this treat in a Balikayan box and who knows, we might have some by Christmas time!
@NewHampshireJack Same here. When I grew up down the road about 3 miles was an apple orchard. Each fall my parents would take us kids for hot cider donuts and let us run in the corn mazes. Then of course there was Halloween. Not to mention the state bird went away, The mosquito! Looking back I can honestly say fall was among my favorite times.

Apple Cider and Brandy on a cold evening is great.
