this phones a beast. my phones usually start to mess up within months, i've had this for like 2 years and it still works great. not a lot of memory, and the touchscreen kinda sucks ass but it's still a pretty good phone.
i know alot of people say this phone sucks but i really like it. Its pretty cheap, has a good quality camera, and a really nice keyboard.

just to let u know there is 2 of these phones exact name: the 820 is the newer and improve one; 2010 model. and the 370 was sometime before that.
@gangjinl actually the 370; was like a 2008 model; and that is the one that everyone is familiar with in terms of Sasung Reality. The 820 is the same as the 370 with improvements.
you know what i hate i hate when somebody ruins the phone that u want with there rude comments and i dont know what to choose and its really hard to choose i have a choice whether to pick this phone or the samsung rouge and i really dont know what to pick its very hard becasue i was going to pick this phone but now im doubtful because of the comments!

@hunkashoo They are just animated, they don't interact with the user. Animated backgrounds were seen on phones at least 5 years ago, I'd wager.
The keyboard seems to be nice, despite the awkward key positioning. But, to be honest, with all the fuzz from Dell upcoming devices, the new windows phones, the new iphone, the EVO, the Galaxy S and S8500, and so many spectacular devices, it´s difficult to be excited about such a limited phone. Great overview nonetheless. :)
For entering a new URL, you will have to be at the home back and click the top area where you woudl enter a url, however it takes you to a new page and there will enter ur website.

Non-"smartphone" touchscreen sliders could be hottest sleeper sellers this year because consumers can get a lower data plan and still get decent features.
Watch out Evo4g and iphone4. :)
I love this phone! I got it in may and I love it sooo much :) the ringtones are great, internet is fab, and I love the apps-the dice and the drawing pad are my fav. I heard before I got it that it was better than the iPhone. I played with my friend's iPhone and I have to say that the reality is waaay better than the iPhone. this is easily the best verizon phone next to the droid.
It's kind of like the omnia II how the formfactor is, this is a really good phone! I love samsungs phones how you have the regular widgets on the homescreen, and how the text messaging is, and samsung does a really good job with their phones, and so does LG but, personally I think samsung is a bit better than LG, but that's my opinion, good review of the reality mobileburn!

That means it does not require a Data Plan.
I have this phone and on september I will have had it for 2 years sooo upgrade time :D it is a nice phone but I would recommend getting a screen protector because my screen is super scratched.. This phone has amazing battery life and is easy to text on once you get used to it :) would I recommend this phone? Yes but not if your expecting it to be as nice as a smartphone but it was wonderful for my first touch phone :D
@StickmanShinobi Well. A youtube video would be like 5mb to 10 mb. It really depends but yeah. So if u watch one youtube video, thats about it. In terms of time, the cell phone dealer estimated it shud be 40min to 1 hour usage for surfing per month.
im getting the phone tomorrow. my mom got it for me for my b-day. I hope i like it:).

This phone is not supposed to compete with those kinda smartphones. This is a feature phone (a "lower" category) Its a smarter alternative to people who want to save on their monthly bill and dont feel the need to impress anyone.

@gangjinl There is really no difference. The only things are the u370 doesn't come in red (to my knowledge) and it doesn't require the $10 data plan. Besides that they're exactly the same.

Does opening a text interrupt the music player? I know some phones don't play music while texting.
Scenekid808 the original reality requires a 9.99 data plan the reality (update) does not require a data plan it is optional

the other colored buttons on the keyboard are used for gaming!

@drug12377 Verizon doesn't sell the Rogue anymore, cause it's old and the Reality is basically a Rogue 2..so they got rid of it

@Slovesnyx I think they're used as a D-pad to play games. I wouldn't know because I never played a game on this phone before I got aggravated by it for the last time and threw it at a wall.

Why is it that wal-mart has this phone, but the verizon website, nor the local verizon store have the phone, also wal-mart has the phone listed as "Samsung Reality Updated" That confused me a little bit.. Can you give me an explination or something?

@DaveProductions2112 I'm going to upgrade from the Env2 in November and I prefer the palm pre plus and pixi plus over most of the phones and they are in my price range. This phone makes my list too but I still like the palm pre plus.

those other keys the w, a, s,d, and z are for games/apps but trust me it took me forever to figure it out to lol
How's the browser now? Also in your opinion for someone that likes texting and Internet/facebook, which is best. This, the Brigade, or the Env Touch. I am somewhat rough on my phones but not too bad. I have had the iPod touch for a year an it works fine.
is this keyboard good for people with big fingers? and does it save individual conversations with people?
Are you able to change the backgrounds to personal pictures.. or whatever you like?

@Vgalvan15 i'm getting the reality tomorrow, however i have had the other two. the env touch sucked. the touch screen is aweful, but the keyboard is so spacy and really nice to type on, the chocolate touch (in my opinion) had the best touch screen on a standard 3g multimedia phone. it was wonderful, but the onscreen qwerty keyboard was small, and hard to use.
How is this phone different from the Rogue? I can't decide on the Reality or the Rogue
@WillsWords DO NOT GET THE ENVY TOUCH!! ive had two of them and they have both broke. i dont drop it that much either. its not worth the money.

with that 10 dollar a month data plan can you go online. i had it once and it charged 2 dollars every time we used "data" like go online or send pics. so we just blocked it all. has it changed?

@JesusRocks198 oooooooh....! yeah while on mobile web you can log onto your youtube/fb/aol accounts but i don't think you can comment on stuff. i think you can reply to emails, on yahoo i can. yeah, if all you do is watch a video it takes up less data than if you commented on it.
