this is the best cell phone guy reviewer because heis not serious all the time and thats what i find nice
this phone is less than 30 miles away waiting to continue its journey to my house tomorrow... hope they deliver it when someone is home
it does have an accelerometer, just not for texting. its used in the games and such.
He got the phones mixed up. I believe that the one with the flamingo red is called the 'intensity' or something like that.

the calling is good and the battery life isnt half bad its actually pretty good i had it for a week and i really like it the touch screen is great
For the people debating about the color of it, I think for Flamingo Red...that might only be for the Samsung Trance. I've never seen the Rogue other than that dulled out "gray" color.
i had this phone for almost 2 years. i loved it at first and then it started freezing and glitching. i finally got a new phone (samsung stratosphere) but i would say that this phone was pretty good for a non smartphone.
I get mine next Friday, can't wait! I currently have the first Samsung Alias--which I love, but I love upgrading more :-)

Great Phone. And the Unlimited Data plan is classified as MEDIA PHONE and not SmartPhone so the plan is friggin cheap.
You have to choose either a connect (I prefer), premium, or basic (with data package).
no, it is under the "phones" section in verizon. It's not considered a smart phone or a blackberry device.

I like this phone. Normally I don't like feature phones(I have been on smartphones for a while now)...but this feature phone is nice. I like the faccdt that its styled for adults. Not a kiddie phone like many messaging phones these days...
to the kid at at&t you should get the impression its basiclly the same thing rogue is so awsome getting it tomorrow :)
dude i'm so stoked. i cant wait to get this this phone. the only problems that i think are kind of minor are in the video some times the touch screen wouldn't respond right away. also the data package. is there a way to not pay for it if u never use the internet? because i always have a computer in front of me and to me it just doesn't seemed to be worth it.
This was one of my favorite phones! My friend dropped it and it shattered back in like 2010. When I called the insurance company they said that production for it stopped and they had to give me the LG Env Touch...boringgg. It got stolen a week later anyway.
great phone got mine this week and love it keyboard is great browser is very fast and camera is actually very good only thing that isnt good is the vcast music player from verizon its slow and doesnt let u put songs from ur sd card as a ringtone

Depends if you want to spend another $10 a month on the rogue. It requires a $10 data plan.

I had this phone, and I loved it. But it DID constantly freeze up.
@SuperCelticsMan....well my mom got it for me for christmas....i told her its not a business type phone, it's a great messaging device with a touch screen interface, and it only costs $10 extra a month instead of the $30-$40 monthly cost for a smartphone...that worked for my mom...idk about yours, but the best of luck to ya
However the Samsung Reality doesn't have the AMOLED screen the Rogue has, and its keyboard is slightly more cramped in.
I'm getting this phone, hopefully on monday if it comes in the mail :D. everyones complaining about only getting like 25 mb for 10 dollars, or whatever it is. But you can also get the verizon connect plan, which is 10 dollars more, and with that you get unlimited internet access.
If you go on verizon's website they say you have to have ONE of the following plans:
Data package
Nationwide premium or
Connect plan
So no you don't have to pay for the Internet
im thnking of getting this phone on my next upgrade in march but im kind of disappointed that you didnt go into detail about the camera quality D:
Hmm, I like the charcoal, but flamingo red doesn't not bring up any color of red, I mean I know Flamingo's come in pink and also some have like a crimson red in the tips of their wings but people think pink when talking about Flamingos. I guess that is why the added red to the wording. Oh 7:33 a bit friction would be good word, since friction is the resistance in movement, how smooth or rough the surface is.
i just upgraded to this phone. i was on the family select plan. i got unlimited data for only $9.99. those other data plans are for people who don't have already have an "expensive" plan already.
I finally decided today which phone to get. I was stuck between the enV touch and the rogue, I however decided to go with the rogue being I have the Voyager currently so I wanted a change. I get it Friday and I cannot wait. (:
guys this doesnt come in flamingo red its a different samsung phone that came our around the same time as this one he got mixed up
wait a minute... why wouldn't you be able to plug it into a computer for a charge? the standard USB isn't the side being plugged into the phone...
@SuperCelticsMan if she makes u the primary user its soooo much less and u still get the browser and all the goodies so tell her to do that i love this phone
i ordered this phone off of ebay too. it should be her today and im real excited to see what its like. i have a lg chocolate touch and it sucks. the keyboard is on the screen and it types wrong all the time. ready for a different one. :)
i have this phone and would like to say yes you can watch youtube on it... yes it works well, its built tough and i love the head phone port... i use this as my mp3 player now and it works great... just plug it in the car and hit play and we are good

thats only the blackberry storm actually you dont need a data plan. i asked customer service. you just have to pay for internet and your covered. which is like 5 extra bucks a month.

Actually, the Rogue was recently discontinued. I guess you still might have a chance finding a straggler in a Verizon store; I doubt their just going to throw them out. But then again, I don't know much about the things that go on with phone companies.
I have the rogue...great phone. Was considering returning it for the droid, but the droid seems to have heaps of issues. Not worth the extra $100 imo.
i was able to find a soft case and an included pre-cut touch screen protector online
i bet they still sell the glyde...
and to answer your question, it is the successor to the glyde.
no it doesnt have an accelorometer it has a regualr touch screen keyboard but not full qwerty

it is awesome!!!! i thought it would take forever to fully charge but only like 2 and a half hours. then i got to mess around with it for the rest of the night with the camera, training the VoiceMode to speak a text. you can do so much with the rogue. the buttons are nice too just gotta get used to the letters "A" and "M" on the keyboard. also i want a protective film over the touch screen (if anyone can recommend a brand or something)
ya but thats for 3g coverage. i want to know about signal strength like do u get signals in ur basement

oh by the way verizon changed the phones that required a data package so pretty much any decent phone requires a min of $9.99 a month data...including this phone.
The only thing i trully hate about the phone is that when you check a text and dont exit out of it you sometimes wont get the text back untill you exit out of it. A weird glitch?
I REALLY want a smartphone, but i can't get one because my parents dont want to pay the extra $30.00 because they are cheap. I have had this phone for a while now, and i like it, it cant be compared to a smart phone, but for a non-smart phone.... I LOVE IT! I never get any glitches or anything like that, it doesent freeze or anything!
this phone rox i had it for two years the battery life is great i talked so much i literally exploded the battery it was swollen up i took it to the verizon place and they said i burst the battery lol but i just got a new battery and itstill works awesome ane its alot of editing things you can do with ur fone as well as edit videos very fun to play with
no just a regular brick phone. basically the Rogue, without the physical keyboard
i really liked this phonei had it for two years since the first da it came out and i was very happy with it i recomend it. the only problem was that it would frezze alot and i would have to take the battery out and power it back up
i have the Kin TWOm right now, i got it about 2 months ago.. its okay but i dont like it as much as i use to... so im getting my sisters Samsung Rouge when she gets her iphone!! :}

Both good phones but the rogue will cost you at least an addditional $120 extra a year with the data plan. You dont need a data plan with the env touch.

just keep in mind the screen protectors r like super cheap so dont choose that case only cause it has the screen too

Really? Cause the Verizon site still shows the Premium level plan that shows "UNLIMITED Data for Mobile Web and Get it Now/Media Center". You just can't add unlimited data to a basic plan.
Of course not but that would be like having a REALLY nice car without putting gas in it. Sure you can get in the car and listen to music, move the seats up and down, put on the headlights and test the windshield wipers. But without gas, you're not really using it for how its MEANT to be used now are you?
wow Im sorry I didnt know that..is that a recent requirement because I have two friends that have that phone but niether of tem said that when we talked about our plans
i really want this phone and i have enough money for it. my parents dont like me having internet and safari everywhere so is there an option to turn 3g or 4g off and just use wifi?
