In today’s video, I’m breaking down my process for grouping drum elements and running them through a master drum bus to create a punchy and cohesive drum sound for drum & bass. I’ll show you how I keep the kicks, snares, cymbals, and breaks separate for precise processing while sending them all into a single master drum bus for that final touch. You’ll also see how I add a subtle overhead track to glue everything together and bring the whole drum mix to life. Whether you're looking to improve your drum sound or refine your processing workflow, this is for you! Don't forget to grab your coffee (without choking this time) and let's dive in!

Slurp De Durp Big G!! Now how did you know that today is Drum day for me?? I've been working on my Beats this morning by re-watching your tutorials on how to construct a proper beat as well as Ghost beats & Amen Beats. This will help a great deal in my studies for today. Thanks so much for your time and effort Great One!! Peace and Good Health to all!!😎
Great one Mike , drum it all in !!!🔥🙏
Savoury video geez. With a sweat treat at the start. Much love brother
Bigups Fam ! 🙏🔥
Spot on timing everytime bro haha, was just sitting there getting frustrated with my snare reverb n you came galloping across the internet like a prophet. live room preset on convolver is spot on, i shortened it a bit but apart from that following the steps was👌
Internet DNB Prophet - ACTIVATE 🤖🦾🦿
Always great content.
Appreciate you hear me now ! 🔥🙏
Love the way you preach simple. Using good samples.
Did you say you add a little compression to breaks?
Big thing I'm trying to do tomorrow is bounce and parallel with reverb and eq. That's a great way of doing things.
Any chance we could get a deep dive into breaks and jungle mixing? I'm trying to learn how the early artists of labels like metalheadz layered their mixes. There was always so much air in those 90s tracks from dudes like Photek and Doc Scott.
Thanks again dawg.
No problem bro ! I’ll get back around to a break or jungle video in the next week or 2 ! 👊✨
Cheers😄Most usefull.
Take care.
Thanks Arnold 🙏🔥❤️
flatten is a ableton thing, where you convert the midi to audio, cheers !!!
Ah yes the Freeze and Flatten - my mistake ! 👍🔥🙏❤️
I thought they might have meant that but it makes no sense. Flatten is only used in Ableton after freezing. A frozen track can revert back to not being frozen, a flattened track is permeant after freezing. Considering Art1fact uses logic, I don't think the person who made the comment was referring to freezing then flattening. I think they meant just getting everything level. possibly clipping everything at the end. It doesn't make sense to me that you'd flatten all your drums at the end of the process, and that's not how we see it being done in Logic by Ar1fact. I could be wrong, but I think it's not freeze and flatten, because that isn't a necessary step.
@@Art1fact No worries !!!
@@hearmenow909 no worries bro !!!
Cubase is render in place.
