      Bro this tutorial is cool, unluckily this can work exclusively with certain sounds, if you take some hats or some perc you have probably you can’t do this, but anyway with real good sounds you can take it

    I'm not even trying to make DnB. I'm just trying to learn Logic. And this was still a fantastic tutorial to show a lot of the basics that most other tutorials I've watched just skim over or ignore completely. 5 stars.

      They certainly have remnants of tops in them. Try yourself adding a hat on top of the kick pattern for sure if its not quite working. Video on the perc specifically coming later this month.

    Honestly the best source for how to sequence this line I've seen.
    Goes beyond Logic, I was able to use this to make my Volca Drum sound like the pros.

      Ah someone else wanted to break down "Brown paper bag" However i immediately got a take down notice for it.... So what im planning is some "in the style of" type videos. Just the take MAD time to put together an i have to put paid projects in priority. But im trying 🙏

      If I inspire people to create anything then that’s a win.
      I’ve fully stuck with the 900 Pro X since I got them. Used them for about 2 years so. Am I don’t reach for anything else unless I specifically need my closed back for some VO recording with reference

Already got ATH M50x for closed mixing and Adam T7v monitors for the bulk of the work but the 900s will fill in a nice middle ground I think

      will do a percussion video that covers some easy ways, But many packs you will find "shuffles" in that you could emulate.

      I was thinking the same exact thing. I tried making a similar rhythm to the one in the tutorial but it was missing that shuffle element and it honestly did not sound that good. There is so much subtlety in these sounds that I think I need to dedicate a great deal of time understanding the individual types of percussion and the sounds they can make. Don't feel alone!

    I don’t understand this. My kicks are on bar 1 and 6 and my snare on 3 and 7 in GarageBand beat sequencer at 176 bpms

      Beat not bar. And DnB 99.9% of the time is in 4/4 so there is no 6 or 7

    Nice video, well explained with very useful details, but would definitely mention that these hits are layered and already come from a break so the sounds match each other sonically, trying to reproduce this with single drum hits will not render the same results!
    For any viewers who would really like to reproduce this vibe and just not getting that vibe, you'd be best off chopping up a break and using the hits from that break so that all the hits gel together well. I'm pretty sure the same was done here, using a break from the BCee Drum & Bass sample pack.

      @@Unders I don’t think I did miss the point, and I even see you made an extra video on how to make your own “shuffles”, so respect to you! Just clarifying that if you do chop up a break and use that to make your own beat, each hit will sound much more consistent, so it’s not necessarily about “picking the right 4 hits” but more about taking them from the same break so your beat would sound uniform, as it does in this tutorial. Search your feelings, and you know it to be true 😜
