Dear @klanderkal I'm so sorry for all you've been going through. I know that bottomless pit feeling of loss, and feeling lost in anxiety and depression. It does get lighter over time, new lights may enter your life again. It's okay to feel what you feel. If you can, connect with people around you and share. I wish I had reached out more, I only later found there are kind and understanding people, and that sharing one's feelings can lighten them just a shade at a time. Wishing you deep peace on your journey 🙏

Wow! What an exceptional Nidra. Thank you, Ayla!🙏 I really appreciated the breathing exercises prior to the official practice, as I have been desperate for Ease and Equanimity for weeks now. ☮️☯️ Thank you. And the body scan was one of my favorites, as it helped me to visualize and sense each vertebra, individually. I found it quite helpful to focus on the muscles around the spinal column as well and got a great deal of physical and mental relief from this practice. The use of music was creative, effective and enjoyable, and your voice was clear, calm, and beautiful all the way through. Fantastic job, Ayla!🙏🤌💗🧘♀️
Thank you Tori! I appreciate your kind words. I am grateful that you enjoyed the music in this Nidra! I have been trying to track down the music from Rewire the Brain and with no luck so I love knowing there is another track you connect with too. Every one of your vertebra are going to LOVE annamaya kosha in your tailored nidra!!!
I was experiencing a sharp tickling in my throat causing me to cough violently at the beginning of this practice. (Allergies) But once I was able to connect with my sankalpa it all just drifted away. My sankalpa is 'I am healing' I realised that this is not simply something that is happening to me. Healing is a way of being. Both giving and receiving. Thank you, as always x
What a beautiful practice. It is interesting to observe acceptance and resistance, and how they affect our bodies like if we were in a river flowing with it or swimming against the stream. Moreover, a good Thich Nath Hanh reminder is mindful breathing to bring our mind back home, to this very present moment. Thank you so much, Ayla.
Boungiorno, Alya! My wife and I are enjoying our first trip to Italy this week, and your yoga nidras have helped to deal with jet lag. This new one is a real joy. Grazie.
I should have put more Italian words in this one so you could learn it through the subconscious. However, that would mean I would also have to learn Italian... I am so excited for you and your wife! I hope you have the most amazing time!
Thank you 🙏🏽 for your post. I love your series I discovered it the other day for the first time and not familiar with yoga at all. My state of anxiety has dropped significantly since I start listening. Bless you❤

Oh, I am always so moved when I hear this. Soul cleansing. Thank you for your kind words. I am so grateful you are here! I hope you find many more nidra practices here that resonate. 🖤✨

This was absolutely beautiful, Ayla. Such finesse and grace. Thank you for “a map of the cosmos,” and the blending of acceptance and resistance, and so many other sweet, brilliant, meaningful beckonings. 🙏🏼
Working through guilt and worry to do a longer session, but here I am. I liked the exercises you incorporated. I feel resistance around my mouth and teeth. I wonder if that's common. Thank you for the practice 🙏🏽 I needed a longer session today but didn't know if my inner critic would allow me to do it. I just pushed through it though 😅
It’s funny you say that. I was working today and observed myself bearing down on my teeth. I took a breath and had to soften my jaw. Then moments later, caught myself doing it again… Not only do I believe this is common to experience but I also believe it has been made conscious. It can be the bodies way to say… Hi, it’s me, sending a little message for you to pay attention to me. Also, I know it’s can be challenging to make time for ourselves so I am proud of you for resting and creating this connection with yourself. 🖤✨ You are worthy of rest.
@@AylaNovaNidra Thank you Ayla. I'm working on it, making time here and there to rest even if it's just a few minutes. It does make a difference. Sometimes I don't feel it in the moment but I notice I'll have more energy later on that I didn't expect to have. Plus it feeds into overall well-being. As far as the topic on self awareness, I wonder to what extent am I really aware of myself (my actions, my habits, what my body says, and what's going on in my mind). It's a lot to keep track of. Today's world doesn't really allow time for self reflection or even awareness during the hustle and bustle. But I do think yoga nidra, meditation, it any kind of think that mashed you take pause or rest can help with awareness. Even just talking about it contributes. I hope you have a great weekend 😊
Thank you Ayla❤ this was what I needed 😊 I am struggling to sleep at night for quite a while now, and tried this yoga nidra to relax. It is 14 pm in the Netherlands. Maybe if I start doing this during the day, I might eventually fall asleep . At the moment there is no reason to not be able to sleep at night, but It is as if my brain just doesn’t know how to fall asleep anymore. Maybe this will help me ? Thank you 🙏
Hey, Christine, ik doe yoga nidra sinds augustus en ben zo veel meer ontspannen, evenwichtiger en dat helpt me dan weer om beter te slapen. Ik hoop dat het dat bij jou ook uit gaat werken! 😊
I have two thoughts here… (1) If you want to practice during the day, you will likely begin to sleep better at night, too. However, I suggest practicing in the morning if you can. (2) If you are resting awake while in bed, the body will eventually not associate your bed with sleep. So, in this case, you could practice yoga Nidra or try getting out of bed without looking at your electronics, wait until you feel sleepy, and return to your bed. Let me know how it goes!
The choice to remove ourselves from the present is often more ingrained or familiar. This is why yoga nidra and meditation are a practice. Don't let this trouble you-you are doing better than you think. Tell this inner narrative, "Thank You," and then compassionately turn down the volume as you connect with the movement/sound of your breath and return to my voice.
