The look on my face was a mixture of excitement and fear. But anyway it's such a good thing that her music is being promoted in such creative and amazing ways!

I don't like how people dehumanize Aurora. She's incredibly unique, she has a lovely state of being, she's someone you want to be friends with, a role-model you want to have. She's animalistic and raw, fluid and solid, the way she is is very unique, however, she is human. She embraces the expressive and animalistic parts of humans that should be accepted. She is what all humans could be, if not for the world.
Love this train of thought. When someone is this expressive and otherworldly, rather than labeling them as "fairy" or "mythical" or "angelic", realize that this is someone becoming anthropos, living fully and truly as a human being, showing the world what it means to whole-heartedly live life.
While I was in the Navy, I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. One woman who I absolutely adore happened to be Samoan. She and I were only 20 years old at the time but, she was wise beyond our years. She and I would sing songs and harmonize below the ships decks while everyone else slept, it was magical. Anyway, one thing she told me that really stuck with me was while she was singing a song from her ancestors. I cannot remember for the life of me what the name was, but it moved me. I told her I have found it increasingly difficult to connect to lyrics with todays music. More and more of it just sounds like noise to me, and I cant get my heart to connect. I had tears welling up as I told her how her song moved me so and she looked me dead in the eyes and said, "my grandmother always told me 'if you find yourself being moved emotionally by the songs and art of other cultures, it is your ancestors trying so hard to connect. Listen to them and follow that feeling for only good things will ever come of it' and she was always right". This song moved me beyond tears. In a world where no one talks about empathy and acceptance; news headlines are almost always tragic, wrapped in anger and hatred; I stumbled across this work of art out of the blue when I needed it most. Immediately I scrambled for a notebook and a pen and began writing again. I haven't written a lyric in 4 years. Aurora, you are otherworldly. You have moved me and touched my soul in a way I never thought an artist would again. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world. I have never fallen in love with an artist as I have with Aurora. She is now the soundtrack to my life. I wounder if you have stumbled over Aurora's collaboration with Wardruna yet? Wardruna is a band like no other, their founder and front man Einar Selvik used to be the drummer in the black metal band Gorgoroth. He left the black metal world to follow his passion to study and reinterpret the lore of the Norse Runes and antique instruments and bring them back into today's world. Helvegen is a poem form the 1000 year old Edda Collection about the road to death, and Aurora joined Wardruna to sing this masterpiece. This moves me like nothing else, I am Norwegian so it is natural that Wardrunas work surpasses my brain and goes strait for my heart and spine. I think it might also touch something primal i you and make you feel the reassurance form your ancestors. This song is beautiful, it is about diversity. I love how she refers to women, to silent people, to LGBT +. I just don't understand how there are people who don't like this song. It's okay not to like the rhythm, but the lyrics? They are so "pure", the way she refers to everyone, showing that we are different, but we are human above all, and that we should stop thinking that the different is synonymous with strange, worse or better. Different is what we are from each other, but even with our differences we are still all human and that is something that cannot be taken away from us. Please, more love, empathy. Please know that we are different but nobody is better or worse than anyone because of that. We are beautiful in our own way, so stop creating patterns in something that was made to be different, our appearance. And don't let them take your own way of being from you, because that is not discussed. If you love, love your way, your differences. My favorite part about her is how human she is. She is herself, and won't let anyone change her. That is why her music is so healing. Because when you express yourself in a way that shows the colors in your soul and won't let anyone take that away from you, that is when you are at you're most pure. It has nothing to do with innocence. People treat her like she is perfect, like a child, needs to be protected... As if she is not just simply a human. A woman. People aren't used to seeing a real person, so it's surprising. She is unfiltered, raw, and totally herself and it's so refreshing to see. I don't know about you guys, but she will be an integral reason as to why I start making music. And I want to be like her, making it my way and being myself. You make less money when you don't try to fit into that cookie cutter mass produced human mold they try to force you into, but for me it isn't about being marketable. It isn't about the money. If my music is healing to the few people that will appreciate it, that is what will make me happy and satisfied. And I bet Aurora feels the same way. She said she never wanted to be a singer but her mother told her her music is like medicine and keeping it from the world would be selfish. My game Sky: Children of the light, has her as the star. Theres concerts happening right in the moment within the game. This song is there, and many others. Theres somewhat of 4000+ people that can attend every concert every 4 hours. I went twice already and it's amazing. Everyone on the game LOVES AURORA! Sky is aurora's queendom for sure.

Kulning was used in both Sweden and in Norway, it is a tradition stemming as far back as the Viking area and it is especially good when done in mountain terrain as the voice of the budeia (milk maid) is carried and bounce back on the mountain and is enhanced.

It's fascinating how people think she's brittle and innocent. She isn't and she's never been. I feel like her first album was more about her personal struggle and thoughts, her world was small. Even then, it wasn't complaining, she was communicating with her darker side, fears and sorrows through music, until she accepted it and became "friends with her demons". I find it the healthiest way to deal with it. In this album and song, she made a step out to the people, but still is herself. That's an important shift in every artist's career. I think she is the kind of artist people should support - look at the way she takes out what is in the collective un/consciousness. Her songs have so many layers - personal and universal. Her gentle soul ascends into a confident queen, she embraces differences in people, shows her support to LGBT community and spreads conception of peace and compassion. Why should she only make dark and folk music? As a gemini and creative personality she can excel at many things at the same time. And people like this are so important in times of changes. She's the echo of the future and she's not fragile, her strenght is just delicate.
Whats a name. I agree 100%. I remember reading some comments about what her 'personality type' would be like. I don't believe in the personality type really, but they kept trying to say that she was the kind to be airy-fairy, bubbly, innocent and non argumentative. I like that despite it's a very feminine idea, she's expressing herself in the video as extremely powerful, strong, and egotistical in a positive sense of the word. She's a ruler and a provider, and fierce. Despite the caring inclusive idea is a feminine one, she's expressing it to us with her masculine side here, not her feminine side. It's important for everybody to know that every human being has divine masculine and divine feminine power inside of them. So a woman and a man can be equally strong, as a man and a woman can be equally sensitive.

I have not discovered AURORA until the current season in Sky: Children of the Light, and it was one of the greatest experiences I had in discovering amazing people. God, this song is exactly what I needed to hear given the current crisis. Whenever I get heart wrenched and my mental health takes a nosedive at the quarantine and isolation, or at the news of this lasting months, I come back here. We’ll get through it. And we’ll sing from the rooftops even if we have to stand 6ft apart to join together. These times are isolating, unsure, painful. But we inherently are trying our best to help one another. I'm really surprised at all the comments from her "fans" attacking the video for it being boring or its LBGT and feminist inclusion. If you don't like it and it makes you uncomfortable, then simply watch something else. Stop acting like Aurora owes you anything, she doesn't. She has a right to put out a song and video that reflects the way she feels and what she believes. That is what art is. I'm just sad that the people who claim this is too much like "generic pop" are so used to flashy lights and heavy beats that they don't even know that this goes far beyond typical pop standards. AURORA's meaning is beautiful. This song is about loving and accepting others and that if we don't have peace, her music can lend you some. Her voice is absolutely beautiful and her instrumentals are fantastic. An artist isn't just their voice, but instead what they stand for.

I just don't understand the anger and distaste in so many of these comments. People talking about her saying she's a feminist, and the claims this is so mainstream. I don't know what mainstream you're listening to but this is really no different then her other works, other then the song message which changes with every track she releases. Her dancing is still unique to her, the film style and the visuals of the video. Her interaction with the dancers isn't about sex like mainstream, it's contemperary and fluid movement, beauty and syncronized. This was absolutely beautiful, her voice was as unique and powerful as in every other track, and it was as inspiring and dynamic as her old work. I really can't help but wonder if the problem isn't her work, but rather the theme. To write and create a work that talks about women and welcoming everyone with open arms to come together isn't mainstream culture, it's the reality of a word that's moving forward and fighting for everyone to stand in equal worth. If you really think that a song about empowerment and acceptance makes her a sellout or mainstream, then maybe you should be the one to do some soulsearching. It shouldn't be a pop sensation to lift people up and accept diversity, it should be how each of us live every day.

Watching this makes me think that Aurora has been too successful and is now trying to stay on top of her success by releasing this tribute to girl power and inclusivity. To this day I haven't heard anything quite like All My Demons, but Queendom sounds lazy and uninspired. Queendom seems to try too hard. Nobody needed to tell Aurora's fans before: "You are included." She made music about loneliness, and we'd all felt that, and that drew us to her music. This song... it's chasing new audiences, trying desperately to get them to buy her music. That's why it feels like she sold out. Also, strangely enough, it feels flat, like Aurora has been turned into a trademark and they put in her dance moves and just a little of her voice to make it so her fans would watch. Many young pop stars could have made this song without it sounding that different, but songs like Black Water Lilies and Wisdom Cries aren't like that. They had something that this song doesn't.

I don't understand why you are expecting A Viking/Nature video again. I think if she did A Viking/Nature video in this one, we wouldn't be surprised or amazed at all. And she has been doing pop music for a long time. The first ones were dark, true. But there's nothing wrong with showing the light inside of her body into her songs.

I don't like how people dehumanize Aurora.
She's incredibly unique, she has a lovely state of being, she's someone you want to be friends with, a role-model you want to have.
She's animalistic and raw, fluid and solid, the way she is is very unique, however, she is human. She embraces the expressive and animalistic parts of humans that should be accepted. She is what all humans could be, if not for the world.

While I was in the Navy, I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. One woman who I absolutely adore happened to be Samoan. She and I were only 20 years old at the time but, she was wise beyond our years. She and I would sing songs and harmonize below the ships decks while everyone else slept, it was magical.
Anyway, one thing she told me that really stuck with me was while she was singing a song from her ancestors. I cannot remember for the life of me what the name was, but it moved me. I told her I have found it increasingly difficult to connect to lyrics with todays music. More and more of it just sounds like noise to me, and I cant get my heart to connect. I had tears welling up as I told her how her song moved me so and she looked me dead in the eyes and said, "my grandmother always told me 'if you find yourself being moved emotionally by the songs and art of other cultures, it is your ancestors trying so hard to connect. Listen to them and follow that feeling for only good things will ever come of it' and she was always right".
This song moved me beyond tears. In a world where no one talks about empathy and acceptance; news headlines are almost always tragic, wrapped in anger and hatred; I stumbled across this work of art out of the blue when I needed it most.
Immediately I scrambled for a notebook and a pen and began writing again. I haven't written a lyric in 4 years. Aurora, you are otherworldly. You have moved me and touched my soul in a way I never thought an artist would again. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world. This song is beautiful, it is about diversity. I love how she refers to women, to silent people, to LGBT +. I just don't understand how there are people who don't like this song. It's okay not to like the rhythm, but the lyrics? They are so "pure", the way she refers to everyone, showing that we are different, but we are human above all, and that we should stop thinking that the different is synonymous with strange, worse or better. Different is what we are from each other, but even with our differences we are still all human and that is something that cannot be taken away from us. Please, more love, empathy. Please know that we are different but nobody is better or worse than anyone because of that. We are beautiful in our own way, so stop creating patterns in something that was made to be different, our appearance. And don't let them take your own way of being from you, because that is not discussed. If you love, love your way, your differences. My favorite part about her is how human she is. She is herself, and won't let anyone change her. That is why her music is so healing. Because when you express yourself in a way that shows the colors in your soul and won't let anyone take that away from you, that is when you are at you're most pure. It has nothing to do with innocence.
People treat her like she is perfect, like a child, needs to be protected... As if she is not just simply a human. A woman. People aren't used to seeing a real person, so it's surprising. She is unfiltered, raw, and totally herself and it's so refreshing to see.
I don't know about you guys, but she will be an integral reason as to why I start making music. And I want to be like her, making it my way and being myself. You make less money when you don't try to fit into that cookie cutter mass produced human mold they try to force you into, but for me it isn't about being marketable. It isn't about the money. If my music is healing to the few people that will appreciate it, that is what will make me happy and satisfied. And I bet Aurora feels the same way. She said she never wanted to be a singer but her mother told her her music is like medicine and keeping it from the world would be selfish. Bless her mom for helping us get to see Aurora's wonderful music.

It's fascinating how people think she's brittle and innocent. She isn't and she's never been. I feel like her first album was more about her personal struggle and thoughts, her world was small. Even then, it wasn't complaining, she was communicating with her darker side, fears and sorrows through music, until she accepted it and became "friends with her demons". I find it the healthiest way to deal with it.
In this album and song, she made a step out to the people, but still is herself. That's an important shift in every artist's career. I think she is the kind of artist people should support - look at the way she takes out what is in the collective un/consciousness. Her songs have so many layers - personal and universal. Her gentle soul ascends into a confident queen, she embraces differences in people, shows her support to LGBT community and spreads conception of peace and compassion. Why should she only make dark and folk music? As a gemini and creative personality she can excel at many things at the same time. And people like this are so important in times of changes.
She's the echo of the future and she's not fragile, her strenght is just delicate.

I don't believe in the personality type really, but they kept trying to say that she was the kind to be airy-fairy, bubbly, innocent and non argumentative. God, this song is exactly what I needed to hear given the current crisis. Whenever I get heart wrenched and my mental health takes a nosedive at the quarantine and isolation, or at the news of this lasting months, I come back here. We’ll get through it. And we’ll sing from the rooftops even if we have to stand 6ft apart to join together. These times are isolating, unsure, painful. But we inherently are trying our best to help one another. I'm really surprised at all the comments from her "fans" attacking the video for it being boring or its LBGT and feminist inclusion. If you don't like it and it makes you uncomfortable, then simply watch something else. Stop acting like Aurora owes you anything, she doesn't. I just don't understand the anger and distaste in so many of these comments. People talking about her saying she's a feminist, and the claims this is so mainstream. I don't know what mainstream you're listening to but this is really no different then her other works, other then the song message which changes with every track she releases.
Her dancing is still unique to her, the film style and the visuals of the video. Her interaction with the dancers isn't about sex like mainstream, it's contemperary and fluid movement, beauty and syncronized. This was absolutely beautiful, her voice was as unique and powerful as in every other track, and it was as inspiring and dynamic as her old work.
I really can't help but wonder if the problem isn't her work, but rather the theme. To write and create a work that talks about women and welcoming everyone with open arms to come together isn't mainstream culture, it's the reality of a word that's moving forward and fighting for everyone to stand in equal worth.
If you really think that a song about empowerment and acceptance makes her a sellout or mainstream, then maybe you should be the one to do some soulsearching. It shouldn't be a pop sensation to lift people up and accept diversity, it should be how each of us live every day.

Watching this makes me think that Aurora has been too successful and is now trying to stay on top of her success by releasing this tribute to girl power and inclusivity. To this day I haven't heard anything quite like All My Demons, but Queendom sounds lazy and uninspired.
Queendom seems to try too hard. Nobody needed to tell Aurora's fans before: "You are included." She made music about loneliness, and we'd all felt that, and that drew us to her music. This song... it's chasing new audiences, trying desperately to get them to buy her music. That's why it feels like she sold out.
Also, strangely enough, it feels flat, like Aurora has been turned into a trademark and they put in her dance moves and just a little of her voice to make it so her fans would watch. Many young pop stars could have made this song without it sounding that different, but songs like Black Water Lilies and Wisdom Cries aren't like that. They had something that this song doesn't.
I know, probably because is a "queendom" she talks about, bc is her place. This metaphorical place she made up, and as she is a woman, then she's the QUEEN. But there are so many narrow-minded idiots that come to comment, when they can't see something so simple.
