I actually know the people who invented the magic potion USA coloring and I was one of the first people in the country to get my hands on them. They’re fantastic!
I have been keeping dairy cows for a few months now and I love it! :D They are still pretty shy, but I am seeing more and more of them out in the open! I will most certainly add Punta Cana to my fledgling collection, at some point :D I love the 'jelly bean' colors lol Thanks for making the video!
Great video as always!! The magic potions (I got from you!) are one of my favorites! And you’re not kidding.. once they take off they TAKE OFF! I also love my clowns and they are going crazy too! I have lavas and they were difficult at first for me, I’m not sure why. But I lost all of the original 10 I got however they had babies so I have all the babies growing up now.
I am so very glad you are enjoying the isopods from us, and great to hear they are doing well! Hang in there with the lavas as they will suddenly be all over the place ;) Thank you Kellie
wow great choices Wally I loved it the ones I don't have are A. Versicolor and the clowns also the Hoffmannseggi black I have the grey ones and that are absolutely amazing ...I hope you do a list for advanced isopods ...Keep Up the amazing work wow what a great list ..I know you could go on forever with the list lol
Thank you Wally, I do not have any that you mentioned but I want to get the jelly beans or magic potions next. I have great news. My cubaris marina have had babies. I am excited. You guys are grandparents again. lolrof
No, I don’t have P. scaber ’lavas’ because Philosciidae sp. ‘North Thailand’ are similar color BUT they are bold and they are out and about during the day creating a ‘lava’ flow. 😁 They are tiny but still more visible and produce faster than scabers.
Wonderful video, I've actually never heard of A Versicolor before, they look really neat! I have no cubaris, and I think when I try that, I am going to go with Papayas. I may get them for my daughters, see if it helps perk their interest a little. Thanks for the information! Go easy. Me

Great video. I currently have a colony of Powder Orange Isopods going in my Crested Gecko's enclosure. I would love to have a few others, but I don't have the space to do so right now. Thank you for your very helpful and educational videos.
Aw man... I only counted TWO intermediate species and they were both add ons! Hahahaha love this list and I'm trying to think of what I would add... I'll have to think about this one a bit.
Thank you very much for your support. If you would EVER like to try a culture or two kind of as an education thing, please PM me on FB and I will set you up.
I was wondering what the name is of the isopod species that has been illustrated and used on many of your thumbnails? The one with the tan/orange body and dark head. I have several that look exactly like them that have been wild caught and have been struggling to identify them. Thanks!
I upgraded my dwarf white isopods to a bigger container last night. I woke up this morning shot to find that all of my dwarf whites are on the surface and are dead. I have no clue what happened and I've been watching a lot of your videos to avoid a crash and I'm not entirely sure how this happened.
Hi Charge Cannons. Thank you for watching. Without knowing much more than - you moved the dwarf whites, I would have to say it has to do with one of 2 things- Either the container was the issue (maybe the acetones used on plastic molds) or if you added soil/dirt substrate, that may have been tainted. Another factor could have been extreme heat or cold. Finally, realize DWs do play dead. make sure you check later today before tossing in the trash :) www.buymeacoffee.com/SupremeGecko
@@SupremeGecko thank you I'll check again later but all of my dws are at the top of the box which is not something they normally do thank you for your wisdom. ❤️
@@SupremeGecko I used a new substrate as well as the old substrate. To add more volume to the new box. Upon inspection this morning all along the edge of the box I'm seeing hundreds of white worms that I can only assume are nematodes. I think that would be the reason why they all ran to the surface however I have no idea how so many worms got into this box. I'm documenting everything by video and keeping notes because I'm new to isobods, but for the life of me I don't understand how these worms got in.
@@ChargeCannons Good find!!! And I will certainly tune in to see the results. How they got there, who knows. I've had hitchhikers of centipedes, worms, and snails now that I'm on my 500th enclosure setup. It happens. Oh- I wonder if they could be the common 'grindle' worm used for feeding fish (not harmful) or the 'white' worm- Enchytraeus albidus (not harmful). But seeing the results, you are probably correct.
Hello, I have question about isopods. I have a medium enclosure of dairy cow isopods. I have been keeping this enclosure for few months. I have noticed mites, they dont look like grain mites, they are as tiny as springtails and brown also a bit white on their bodies but not as big as grain mites. Well I have noticed them since 3rd week of keeping isopods. Ive watched Aquarimax video about controlling pest and I have added springtails since the 3rd week and stopped over feeding food. But til now the problem doesnt seem to be solved. As my springtails population grows, mites are growing too and almost everywhere in moisture area. Do you have any suggestions for me please? I actually add water to moisture area and feed my isopod the fish pellets every 2 days. I cant really leave my enclosure because there are ton of dairy cows in the enclosure like alot A Big Colony (100+ or I will say uncountable) Please keep in touch with me because I cant really solve this problem by myself and mites keep growing and getting more in numbers. Thank you alot for reading my comment.
Quick question back- You mention that you've watched "Aquarimax video about controlling pest ". I see you've added a comment to his video. It might be best for them to answer your question as the video is specific to this type of question and might help others looking for similar help.

Which ones would be good for feeding lizards or perhaps cooking that Isopod Linguini?
