After 7 years of Dark Souls 3 being released, I have finally decided to wield the broken sword. The broken straight sword is a weapon that shows up in every Dark Souls game and it is known for being the WORST weapon you can use.

Hmmm i noticed that it took you a while to kill some bosses. I reccomend for your next playthrough you use a different weapon as the broken straight sword isnt very good 👍👍

As someone who tuned into the streams I can confirm Jared is the most broken man in the world, but not as broken as his sword.
I remember when I played on Xbox. I had two broken broken straight swords (the BSS but I knocked them against a wall for 20 minutes), and proceeded to outplay my friend for like 5 minutes with both of them in a duel.
He chugged and I proceeded to pancake him. Good times.
Deacons of the Deep being as difficult as it was has to be one of the most hilarious turnarounds for a challenge run ever. Even in No-Hit Runs these bosses can be a cakewalk because you can use Weapon Arts and huge damage to circumvent most of the fight but the Broken Straight Sword is so bad that you're forced to make mistakes no matter how good you play.

@@Papyrus_in_a_HEV_Suitactually found that during ng7 as i was having fun with them until i realized they have an instakill move. Before then in every playthrough fight ended too quickly for me to find out.

DS3 Broken Sword is my favorite challenge run in Fromsoft history. Highly recommend combining it with a miracle build. The heal spells give you great sustaining power and the weapon makes lightning spear look viable.
He's no ZeroLenny, but he'll do.
Watching this after nothing run makes it look so much easier. Skum is truly one of the greatest challenge runners.

1) Vordt can be staggered out of his frostbreath attack by a charged hit to the head
2) Oceiros can curse you with the crystal breath attack

Skumnut once said “once” and that changed my life forever.
This weapon is surprisingly strong btw, raw infusion + lightning resin and lightning blade when viable can make it pretty good. Especially combined with rings that give you power. I had fun using it to defeat all bosses. (Actual worst weapon is probably the handmaiden dagger or scholar candlestick)

Tbf, that is the broken straight sword hilt. It does the same damage as a fist
I did punching move set only, caestus isn’t until before you meet Sigeward. Long story short I spent 2 days on iudex gundyr, and another day for Vordt bare fist.
