For real, Demon Souls is my FAVORITE souls game. I randomly picked it up seeing it for under $20 at gamestop for ps3, instantly fell in love and hated every second of it lol.
MLGS was a good weapon for this run, whoever recommended it is probably pretty good at this game and also a chill person who i would like to hangout with and they're also probably not annoying to be around and also are smart and funny i bet.
Demon's reinvigorated my love for gaming. When everything was copying everything, this came along and kicked everbody in the nuts. Will forever love Demon's Souls, best memories ❤
Demon’s Souls was Miyazaki at his most unhinged. The punishment for dying constantly was crazy here. Dying in all the subsequent games was a minor inconvenience compared to kicking the bucket in this old gem.
The chat telling him how to do everything….Kinda annoying. Like I get it if he gets stuck, but walking into a boss for the first time and chat immediately goes “USE FIRE!!” Saying to hit the bird and the Tower Knight’s head….Saying how to cheese a boss before he even reaches it.
I played the hell out of the og game untill the boss that de levels you everytime you die. I didn't even realize I went down in like 5 levels from dieing. That was too far too cruel
I tried this game twice and I just couldn’t do it. But since then I’ve played and finished Elden, ds1 and ds3, and now trying again I’m having an absolute blast with it

This is the type of remaster DS1 deserved. Keeping the mechanic, upgrading visuals to modern standards. Instead, we got slightly upgraded textures in a few areas which are beat by mods anyways and that's it lol.

I'm not just imagining it either; it has weird filters over everything (or lack thereof) and most things look *worse* than they did in the original release, especially the character creator.
I have several hundred hours in Dark Ssouls 1, 2, 3, and Elden Ring, so I figured Demon Souls would be too simple. But it has grown to be my favourite one of them. So nice that you can go anywhere to collect mats for your build, good variety on bosses, not only dodging and rolling. Damn good atmosphere. I played the PS3 version.
Going back to demon souls after all these years, I have to say I really appreciate the slow combat. The enemy placement and the relatively low damage of your weapons and the massive damage the enemies do to you make for a tense experience. The world design is also really engaging. I found elden ring just far too easy once you go through the game once and you know of the stance breaking mechanic. Even without a shield or summons. The nostalgia hits real hard with demon souls.

Holy shit dude, did no one ever noticed that there's a bug with a ring, IF you equip the uneven scales ring, you can load out as many items as you want, until it fills out the item burden capacity that was given by the ring, and then REMOVE IT, best Ring in the game, cause u dont even need to use it for its effect to kick in, just for the sake of explaining, basically whenever we equip the Herculean Ring, IF we're using any additional gear with the bonus that was given by it, IF you try to remove it, it states "can't remove the ring because it will cause overburden", now I HAVE JUST GLADLY FOUND that that message doesnt show if u try to remove the Uneven Scales ring, so if you were like 91/92 item burden, equiped the ring of uneven Scales, went to stockpile Thomas and filled the bag, like 182/183, (cause this ring is so much better than shit Herculean, it grants a whole lot extra item burden), so you're 182/183, then just simply, remove it, you'll be like 182/92, that's game breaking, now I'm playing like the dark souls pvps, all weapons at disposal for the need

with exploits this is by far the easiest and most broken game in the series. Without exploits (and magic) it's agony...

I love this game. It is the relaxing version of dark souls. Straightforward and easier but all the from software goodness.
