Idk what it is about you but i really like you. The way you speak, your teaching method, and obvi cause you use ableton which i dearly hate and love, it is all really really soothing for some reason. Keep making this content, loving the different genres in different restaurants thing. Maybe you could try creating tracks from scratch or half a track from scratch in an hour or so at the restaurant. Like how Bound2Divide does. Those things give really good details to a beginner producer seeing all the details and thought processes. i know you do it on your course probably but maybe a video or 2 for free would actually draw more attention and crowd as well to your channel cause that's how i began this journey at least, searching for tracks from scratch videos to learn and create.
Have to say o feel the opposite about his voice and the way he speaks. Sounds put on like every you tuber nowadays. Puts me off his videos but watch anyway for the tips.
Man, thank you so much for these videos. Your energy and expertise has completely gotten me back into music again after a long hiatus. Fan for life here
Loved it man! Would have really liked to see you build those piano roll parts in realtime. I know you’re worried about boring everyone but that’s where some of the magic happens!
A few weeks ago, I didn't realize this is what I needed in my life, but here we are and I'm diggin' this series. You keep postin' and I'll keep watchin'!
You are very pro Ethan, these types of videos are worth gold, thank you very much for the contribution to the community, whoever gives something always receives something in return in one way or another. 🔁
LOVE this Ethan. It’s just so easy to follow and apply. I think you have the most user friendly tutorials out there. Really clean and inspiring. Thanks mate! If you ever do one of vids again making your subscribers tracks better, would you pls consider one of mine?? I make various styles of house garage and drum and bass. Some I did in Starbucks recently. Haha. Sound cloud name is maksee (/maksee) Best tracks probs are: Would u (tech house) Santa Fe (house) That feeling (uk garage) Fall asleep tonight (downtempo commercial) Cross the line (drum and bass) Cheers all the way from Australia! 😊
5:59 Your Face! This is one of those moments why I create music in the first place. When you realize you have something that sounds sick and will become awesome.
Can you imagine chillin at chilis with your fam and you see a dude with headphones crushing a burger and youd have no idea hes making an absolute banger on the low 😂
A suggestion for a your genre wheel… Jungle and I don’t mean the band. Can Evan chop a break on his lunch break? Would anyone else like to find out? 😮😂
I know we can’t have everything but I do wish you worked in fl. but still great vids as learn so much from you. And I get early lunch in every time I watch 😂
Hey Ethan, i've been having some trouble trying to get my audio from ableton to come through OBS. Ive tried numerous things and nothing seems to work, I have a 4th Gen Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 ASIO driver. It comes through when I switch to MME/DirectX driver but then there is latency causing the audio to be slightly delayed in my headphones which I cant seem to fix either. I see that you obviously record your audio from ableton for your videos and I was wondering if you could please give me some advice?
Hey Ethan, I have a question. I've noticed that you and other producers put each of your drum sounds/samples on their own individual audio track, is there an advantage with this method? I have Ableton Live Lite so I can only have a maximum of 8 tracks whether MIDI or audio, so I usually put my drum sounds/samples on a drum rack in order to use the other 7 tracks for vocals, instruments, etc.
Amazing!!!😂 Free idea: next series of this should be you going to a restaurant on the wheel, same with genre, then remake that chains theme song into that style.
