As a veteran of over 30 years this video made me so happy, and took me back to the days I started in school with two of my mates doing house parties. If you love it, keep doing it... Be patient, practice practice practice... Don't depend on just the tech... Learn to use your ears and your body's inner clock. It takes practise. Sync can help, there's nothing wrong in using it... Don't let anyone tell you it's not DJing. But don't rely on it. DJing is 90% song selection and reading the crowd. Transition techniques is not as important as most people think. Half of the time the audience won't even notice the tricks you do.

if for starters, then i think the better way is to keep the cross fader in the middle and use the volume faders to fade 1 in and fade the other song out. radio dj style. or; use the cross fader in a similar way. have the cross fader to 1 side, the side that the song is playing and start the other song that you want to play next, then darth fader over to that song.

"I don't know what else to say other than you just gotta do it" after a 15-20 minute teaching rant is the essence of teaching somebody to DJ. It must happen.

The sheer amount of time, study and practice i had to do one my own to get to the point i am was crazy because i didnt have anyone to explain things. Ive been djing for more than a decade now. And when a friend of mine asked me to teach him i first told him to download 100 songs to know if he really was serious and to not waste my time. Second is beat matching dance music and hiphop. Beat matching is a must to master first. and third is the counting, phrasing, and the structure of a song/waveform. And then the eq knobs and effects come in last. Going straight to explaining what those knobs do will just confuse them.
”waste my time”. Just be happy you have a friend that asks you for your help in something that you have a lot of experience in. You should have a separate audio mixer to plug between your dj controller and speakers. That audio mixer would allow you to plug in your phone to play from in case your laptop or dj controller fails.
Even after 10 years I make mistakes but I recover faster than when I 1st began. People pay for a person who can play the right music at the right time and fix issues on the fly. That isn’t cheap!

Great journey, video and process! Def deserves more views!
We definitely want more videos like this
loved this video! on the same journey kinda as you but i started around August. just played my first halloween party at my place and had a blast!! keep at it man!!
why did that “ohh my gawdd” lowkey work so well with the transition 😂 sick video btw
ngl bro, as new to it as I am this has me inspired even playing to a room to as many people as u did seems insane to me
bro this video is insane! second video and it feels like if it was your 15,000th time. Already subscribed! man make more videos!
What the heck, that video was awesome! I thought the subscriber count would be waaayyy more! Loved it
Bro is making one of my biggest dreams his reality. Keep it up king
The progress shown for just that short period is awesome. Keep the joy! :)
amazing to see kids still singing along to clarity
The track ID of the Junior Senior remix at 4:00 is Oppidan - Move Your Feet
Been looking for it on and off since the vid dropped so thought I'd come back and share it 👍
Thank you
Thankyou. By any chance do you know the one at 20:40?
Thank you, even Shazam didn't know what it was
@@Spacific_Designs move your body- ownboss & sevek
@@JoeyPepperoniX99 thanks mate
You should have a separate audio mixer to plug between your dj controller and speakers. That audio mixer would allow you to plug in your phone to play from in case your laptop or dj controller fails.
This Is Awesome! Thank you For Sharing Your Journey To Learning. I’ll Be Teaching Myself Once I Get A Control Deck!
What a good dude you are. May god bless you and your family❤
I'd absolutely love too start to learn the decks but thei video gives me hope 😢😢😅❤ fantastic stuff much love from Ireland 🇮🇪
18:40 10/10 advice djing is not only easy mode ppl dont even realize what you do xD
Even after 10 years I make mistakes but I recover faster than when I 1st began. People pay for a person who can play the right music at the right time and fix issues on the fly. That isn’t cheap!
So glad RUclips recommended this. I’m actually in the same predicament as you
Amen to you homie for bringing it in real before day 7.
Amazing video, that transition at 8:24 was super fire!! Keep up the great work bro, you have crazy potential as a DJ!!
Enjoy the journey!
More like this bro. This is a class video, very well creating. More DJINGGGGG
This is Fire , I'm about to start my djj career in next week and hoping to buying Flx4 , This was inspired me to do the impossible
Subscribed :)
Keep going my friend. I also started my adventure with DJing. Keep this GIG machine working and remember to have fun 🎉 Greetings from Poland :)
This is amazing. I just started 2 months ago and it makes me enjoy this even more!!
as a noobie dj you earned my sub loving all these vibes
Hey bro, looks like you did well! 👍🏾 Just one thing to learn from this, never rely on streaming for your main music. Build up your collection from DJ record pools, the have current music that you can download for a monthly fee
Well done once again
nice vid men! What you said about your friends was nice to see. U are right, it´s about making memories and while djing, having fun. You gave the people at that party, a great night as far as I could see. People dancing, singing, have a good time, that´s what a good DJ will do to their audience.
First time watching the channel love the editing in this video . Definitely gon stay tuned to more videos , as well I just bought a dj set myself and going to start to learn !
Day 6 was touching, lol.....nice work, dude, very relateable!
