heres my experience i have a peugeot 207 1.4 2008 model , the problem i had was when started car up from cold about few seconds later the temp needle fly into red and warning stop message was on display although the engine was still cold , so i buy a new temp sensor from euro car parts and installed myself its not hard job just a bit tricky with the metal clip was a pain . Anyway after fitted it problem still carried on but the same day about 6 hours later i take car on motorway for a good drive then new sensor started working with ecu and needle went back to 90c and problem soughted ,no more flying into red or stop message.
Thank you for the video, gave me some enthusiasm to check if I can repair it myself. I have exactly the same issue. One question I have. Since it is only the sensor which is defect, is it still ok to drive for some time to get to a garage? I have my father a few hundred km away, which I anyways wanted to visit and who would like to help me to repair it. Would that also be ok, to make such a distance with a defect sensor?
Hi my friend kneed your advice . I have an 207 vti 95 i have problem to start the car in the morning it takes me couples minutes to start. After starting and driving the car I have no problem to start it . Thank you and I appreciate if you can help me.
Kamil Wojciechowski the temperature sensor is behind the cable and fixed with a kind of metal ring. I don't know the function of the cable in front of that.
I have a question, did somebody's VTI stopped running after this faliure? My engine won't start and I don't know if it is this sensor problem or another problem at the same time. Cheers.
@@shahdailyvlogger4633 Hello again. If you have a VTI engine in your 207 Peugeot then that engine has 2 caps. If your gauge display shows high temperature then you may want to check your coolant sensor, if it has too much black film on it then replace it, and your radiator thermostat can be easily unmounted and checked for damage just like you check a light bulb. If your display is not showing any high temperature then this is the problem and how to fix it depends on your creativity, and if you have a VTI engine in your 207 Peugeot then that engine has 2 caps. One for putting oil into the engine. The second one is to regulate the breathing of that engine. The engine doesn't really breath, but I am using simple terms to explain the method. If the cap is missing then the engine sensor will always think that the engine is very hot. It is located at the left top-back of the engine cover. It was missing on mine, so I devised a simple cap like method for it and the fan stopped running all the time. Tested it over and over again, and it worked like a charm. Or; you can simply plug that hole with a thick sponge. That works too, if you didn't want to sell the car. My car was on the market and ready to be sold, so I had to construct a similar cap from spray paint caps, a light metal spring, a rubber ring and a sponge to keep the new cap tightened in place. This method might let the cap pops up when the engine runs on high speed, so, I had devised a stopper made of a small aluminum one 3 by 10 cm held down by the screw from the air filter box next to it. High speed ? No problem. I saved my self lots of money, and sold the car. I could not buy a replacement because it costs a lot of money, one has to buy the whole cover, even on eBay or auto Doc. Good luck Contact me again for more help.
I'm impressed how clean your engine is. I try to maintain my Peugeot 207 1.6 hdi sport but is far behind you. Well done. I replaced the thermostat and hosing with fitted new temperature sensor. Once I done it shows "engine pollution fault " and the clock with the temperature seems like is not moving up at all. For me this looks like sensor is not working. I checked the connection again and seems OK. Could this be possible that the new sensor is not working? Unfortunately I don't have the recive so I cannot go to the shop and return. I will have to buy new one. I just wander whether is possible to get nee sensor that is already not working.
Hi, I got a similar issue. My car engine indicator does not move at all. Sometimes it does. But like 1 every 10 times. Did you replace the sensor and worked?
Hello, Thank you very much for this excellent video. Can you help me ? I have exactly the same car as the one in the video (Peugeot 1.6 vti 95 ch). But the temperature sensor is not in the place shown. Instead there is a purge screw. And I cannot find my sensor. Any idea, anyone ? Thanks again
PLEASE HELP, I HAVE A Peogeout 207 1.4 L YEAR 2011. I HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR BUT AS MUCH AS I TRIED TO FIND THE LOCATION OF IT, I COULD NOT FIND IT.
Hi.Awesome video.but I had a big problem putting the clip back on.it simply seems impossible as I can't force it back on to keep sensor on place .how did you manage t9 put the holding clip back on?
FJ Guy hey FJ Guy, in my case, there was a a new clip together with the package of the new sensor. There was no trick. You have to be sure, that the sensor fits perfect in the hole.
I've had this same problem today fitted the new sensor but can't fix it in place and subsequently starting the engine caused it to spew out everywhere!
Jamie O'Loughlin, I had the same problem. You musst press the sensor deeper inside. Carefully use a screwdriver and push the sensor more down to the bottom. The clip must sitting OVER that metal edge of the sensor.

hello, do you know what the problem is with this model just shut down on its own. thanks

hi Travel&Nature will the temperature gauge still go to max until i delete the faults
If you don't change the sensor, I think it does.
ive changed the sensor but i havent deleted the faults but the guage still goes up
Yes, you need to delete the faults to prevent that the temperature is still high. I had the same problem. But I solved it with delete the fault.
Thank you so much thats a great help
Travel&Nature my code reader came today so I cleared the fault and it works 👍🏼 thank you for your help 🌟
