Exhaust is not enough to make a great car. Matt’s car(first one) is by far the better car and I would pick it any day of the week over the other one. Great video as usual

The '65 stance and auto cross setup is killer and the offset stripe is perfect touch to go with the rest of the package...but the way Dave drives his and the sound, raw suspension and look and always hammered down or it's not having fun. Brother thats a legit carol shelby gt350. Thats the car that beat them all... thats an awesome rolling history lesson he enjoys as it should be. He cant be changing too much stuff on it, its a 100k car min as it sits. Its almost apples to oranges with the modern upgrades on the other stang. But im sure the difference in driving is far apart. Those are 2 awesome cars that should not be appreciated and not compared. I have a 64.5 that i built on a budget to daily drive. My wife hates it, makes fun of how much i fix it, and it needs alot, but man is it fun. I would love to see you cover more projects on a budget. ( gives hope for the glory of autotopia) i enjoy all your clips! Keep up the great work.

I really enjoy the For The Win series with its thorough breakdown and analysis of each ride. This new series is a great development for AutotopiaLA with lots of potential to be even better. To make this series even more enticing to your subscribers, consider bringing in a well known expert in the field (e.g., Kyle Tucker, Steve Strope, etc) to co-host with you and provide their analysis with yours as well. I believe this combination will entice even more consumers to subscribe and tune in to the For The Win series and place AutotopiaLA at the top of most watched automotive enthusiast channels.

Dave's 66 GT350 for the win. For me his car is more relatable to car people that build cars in there back yard and take out on the street. I would like to see some 5 point safety belts in use when driving that car. If i was track racing the car Matt's 65 GT 350 would be a super car to drive. Both are awesome rides.

I have had my 65 Fastback since 1978 and I have built it into a beast like Daves, mine is a stroked 347 Solid lifter. 4 WPDB Lincoln Versailles 9 inch 389 Detroit locker Racing 4 speed top loader, 750 Quick Fuel Double Pumper. All the Shelby mod's and more. I shift at 7,500 and have an 8000 rpm rev limiter in it. It still scares the hell out of me to this day. I track it with the LA Shelby Club for the last 20 years.

Dave’s ‘66 GT350 is my choice and that motor is what does it for me! Who can’t appreciate high reving engine with a NASCAR sound letting everyone know its coming. It was clear its so much fun to drive. That being said.., I probably would’ve liked a few modern features for safety (suspension, brakes, cage), but I have nothing but respect for everything the car is in its original state. It’s always been my favorite muscle car and Dave’s is a homage to the amazing car Carol Shelby’s brought into the world…

For me it’s Dave’s car. Why? Maybe I’m biased, owning and daily driving my 65 tribute GT350. It is all raw, with the exception of 4 wheel disc, T5, 1968 302/331 stroker, utilizing cast iron heads and hydraulic lifters. 750 Holley double pumper, 9” rear with 3:50 Tru lock. Oh, and my car is my daily driver. Mine is pretty raw. Even though my interior is 65 GT 350 street trim, suspension and external looks more like the competition model. I even have brake cooling ducts on all four corners. So yeah, I pick Dave’s car for the win. Great shows! Keep up the good work!

Dave's, much more closer to the original race car with updated power plant and trans. Like you I would like to see a few bucks put into modern brakes and safety, like a cage, race seats and harness. This was a tough decision for me. I love the pro touring look on Matt’s and love the raw old school look on Dave’s. Also I love that Dave has a dart block 347 which I prefer over a modular engine. I’m actually building a 65 gt350 clone. It’ll look like Dave’s and will have a modern suspension underneath and hopefully the maier rear suspension that Matt has, with a clean original interior and a 6pt cage. Still have that original feel with modern suspension and brakes. With that being said I honestly can’t decide on this one…both amazing cars in their own way! Keep these videos coming!

Love both of 'em. But my racing days are over. So I'm voting for Dave's car. Love the power range of both these cars. The engineering in Matt's car is spectacular. Love the old school and raw look of Dave's car. My kinda car. Looks like both were great drivers. Be safe and stay well.

My choise is Matt's car. The fabrication and the safety updates are impressive. But this was a close one. Dave' s car sounds amazing, and I like the look of it. I enjoy the new format.

I have seen a similar '66 Mustang to the second one at a Cars & Coffee gathering at Santa Clara and it is also a beauty and sounds bonkers!! I would agree a suspension and brake upgrade would make day to day driving less of a risk.
