  • A hilarious look at Vespucci Pictures, a fictional movie studio of the 1930s and 1940s that made the worst B pictures in history. Features William K. Everson is a rare semi-dramatic role. The screen debut of Calvert DeForest, this led to his iconic role on The David Letterman Show as Larry "Bud" Melman, after the film's writers were hired.

This is the beginnings of "Late Night with David Letterman." Calvert DeForest, so many of the original Late Night writers contributed to this film, they even passed Vespucci off as a real film studio on a guest spot in an early "Late Night" episode. King of the Z's is simply a gem and big part of comedy history.
