- One of my favorite summer essentials is high-cut crew socks. With the right sneakers they add an extra detail to your outfit. Duh you don't wear nike socks with yeezys but i wear adidas socks with yeezy. But you can wear nike socks with jays so idk why that would be a prob. I live in nike socks tho i have to wear the high nike socks. But i recently got into adidas and champion socks. But nike socks are always number 1

I agree with the color of the sock matching the shoe, but for me the biggest detail is the sock liner. If the sock liner is black I'll go with black socks, if it's white I'll go with white socks. It's it's a colored, then it depends whether it's a dark or light colored sock liner.

Yup I agree with you fosho, I have all good socks, not matter what I do there always ends up having pilling in the sock liner, way easier 2 maintain IMO..

Dude !!! I was doing this in the 80s AND the 90s, so glad it's come back around . I will say you are spot on by saying don't mix brands ...and always ALWAYS white socks with white sneaks and black socks with black sneaks
Personal preference is never wear crews with lows , looks like your going for a game of tennis.. crews only for mids and sometime high tops
I used to mix brands before I could work and make my own money so I don’t do that anymore but sometimes I guess it’s hard for some people to afford multiple things from the same brand so that’s why I don’t judge. Sometimes I do mix brands but not from direct competitor brands (Nike-Adidas)

I tend to choose socks with inconspicuous branding so I don't worry about visible brand mismatching. As for quality, I love thicker socks, so I'd say it's worth spending few extra bucks for comfort!

I agree with you Eddie on where to not buy socks from , but Target has this brand called “goodfellow” their essential socks are pretty good quality. It’s thick and doesn’t fray after multiple washes
Can definitely agree with keeping them basic, I had bought a couple of stance socks with designs I thought looked cool, can pretty much only wear them with my basic vans because on anything else they take all the attention and look like there’s too much going on
Love this video and all the helpful tips. One of my favorite brands to wear when I’m not matching brands, is Stance! Some of the most comfortable and they have great designs.

I think I understand what you mean with the brand mixing. So, the sock is a continuation of the shoe as far as you're concerned. It stands to reason that you would want a Nike sock with a Nike shoe just for a continuity sake.
I remember in middle school I messed up my ankle in basketball had to wear a boot and would match my sock color with my fit 😂

I intentionally wear colored socks, but they’re brand neutral (Uniqlo) and I’m happy to say I can pull them off

I know i've mixed brands solely because I didn't have a shoe by the brand and I was cringing doing it. Lol I felt uncomfortable. But I am good now. I totally agree with not mixing brands but sometimes its all you have.

Macy's: White polo socks navy logo, Black Tommy socks little logo, White Tommy socks little logo.
Stance: White NBA socks, Black NBA socks.
Nike: White socks black logo, Black socks white logo
Gray premium crew light gray stripe match my gray yeezys. Cream premium socks for my sesame v2s.
White Adidas w black stripes for yeezy zebras...black adidas w white stripe for black and white ultraboosts and black core white v2s.
Also...more plain white premium crew socks (premium ones have grey toe and heel usually) for my all white sneakers or skate shoes.

I might be wrong, but I think you have to take consideration with the pants you are wearing too. Contrary to the video statement, I've seen a lot of people rocking their whole outfit with for an example black jogger / black cargo pants, black crew socks, and white / cream sneakers. For me it enhances the looks of the pants while also making the sneakers stand out more

I got different kind of brands. That's why I only get the double stripe pattern. Very simple, not attached to the brand
i start mixing brands the last couple months, no socks and shoes though, a t-shirt and a jacket or t-shirt and shoes yes, maybe it's bad, maybe it's not, first seemed weird to my but now i see no problem doing it

I used to wear crew socks exclusively and I had a reeeaaally bad sock tan so I went to no-shows for a while to correct that. Now I can’t hardly wear crew socks in the summer cause it’s so hot where I live but they definitely look better with most shoes with shorts

Only mixing of brands I do is techfleece shorts or sweats with Adidas. I feel like the Nike branding is so tiny on it and distanced from the shoe that it doesn't matter

The sneakers and socks thing does matter, but likewise the pant does too. Like if I rock black pants, I could do black crew socks to elongate my legs.
Nice video, i actually only wear quarter or no show socks, and i base it on the Jordans i have on, i don't wear lows of any sort in sneakers, so i'm always either in Jordan 1's, 3's, 4's, 5's 6's, 12's 13's or either Lebron 7's. I usually wear no shows with the Jordan 3's and 4's and the Lebron 7's and quarter socks, with everything else

I usually go with high cut black socks for the most part. If the shoe is super low cut then no show socks. I think the tie dye socks would fit if the outfit/shoe was super simple, like an all white vans or a very monotone outfit. I don't think I would wear em though.

When I wear my yeezy at the gym I can’t wear anything else except nike dry fit socks at the gym that’s the only time I mix and match but check over stripes so works out lol
