I love being on sailboats, but episodes like this remind me of why the initials “B.O.A.T“ stand for “bust out another thou$and“. These towboat operators really earn their living!
Rather use one bow line knot and join it with a sheet bend knot, no chafing then, maybe even a double sheet bend when towing as to the weight on it making it a bit easier to untie not that it should be a worry. Good knot when two different diameter ropes are yo be joined also with the thicker rope being the looped one and the thinner one making the sheet bend knot. 😂😮
