Having the radio or phone calls at the beginning adds a lot to the videos. I stay on land so any additional info, even info on each vessel, would add to your videos. Even knowing how you collect payments, not the amounts, for each rescue would be neat. It is impressive how easy you make each rescue.
I use the EZ Captain Hooks, my previous boss developed them, I recently took the business over. They’re on my website captainretriever.com Hoping to keep providing them to the towing industry, because there’s nothing else like it that can handle the load, and they’re taken off the trailer eye just as easily..
I'm originally from Ft. Lauderdale and I remember the 3 pm afternoon 5 to 10 stupid strong storms and then the suns back out and NO ONE can breathe lol. From the steam. I moved to North Carolina. Not as bad here but it can still get pretty hot. But it's not like South Florida lol.
Awesome. What percentage customers have tow insurance vs paying out of pocket? As cheap as it is I can't imagine not having insurance but people have different circumstances.
@@dwawa23 most people have towing coverage, but it doesn’t cover taking on water, beached in a surf zone, fires, and stuff we consider salvage. That falls under hull insurance typically liability covers the recovery & fuel spill prevention, and full coverage covers the damages to your boat
They’re pretty good overall, some corrosion on the lower unit, just stay away from anything fly by wire. Having to replace the second throttle body on our only fly by wire boat.
@@CaptainRetriever Roger that. I have heard that Honda motors are better quality and dependable. Thanks for the reply. I have been thinking about replacing the Johnson on my Mako 17 with a Honda.
@@rickbacon9150 our biggest selling point is the gear cases overall are very durable, we bury them in the sad, get banged around by surf, put over 1000 hours on them & the impeller looks new, etc..

Dude-I disagree! I think your videos are a great length, what more would you show? Unless you have more jobs? I would appreciate an in depth tour of your boat with specs on how much line you keep on your spool, what lines you prefer, the pumps setup, what tools you have etc

I have to tell you, you are so good at these recoveries. You make it look easy, knowing it isn’t. Thank goodness there are people like you out there.
This mans channel is a master class in multitasking. Good work!
Lol, still gotta throw camera angles, audio, and paperwork in. But I can do anything around the house according to my wife
Yeah it is.

Mahalo again! You rescued the folks off the beach and re-floated the boat, and all by yourself! Amazing!
I just started working for a Towboat company in Texas - Been enjoying your videos and learning from you!
Worth watching just to see that sky in the beginning. Those clouds were awesome. As are you
Your a true professional at your craft
Another great video I love it
Great work as always.
Excellent !!!
Interesting channel. Just found it.
Great video. How did you connect to the front eye with that pole? That was great but could not really tell in the video...

2 quick questions, how much did you charge them and what about pumping any gas oil back into the ocean again?
@@felineferious9633 no fuel or oil leaking, just billed a few hundred, easy job and they didn’t have much money

Looks like fun little boat
Great job!!!!!
Nice job.
Cool sky
Nice job mate 👍
That was awesome!
What kind of boat are you running year make size?
Is part of the problem too heavy an engine for the boat or is it a basic design problem with the transom being to low to the water?
@@ATH_Berkshire probably a little of both, an enclosed transom is always the way to go
What an interesting occupation you have there. Subscribed.
Good job.
What camera do you use?
In emergency situations like this do they get charged? Just trying to understand the line between paid assistance and emergency assistance?
Emergency is getting the people off, paid is getting their property back.
@@CaptainRetriever Thanks for the explanation sir!

Curious as to how much you charged them for that retrieval?
